A reversible bull rope? Sounds cool, especially if you could ride two different style of ropes in one rope. I would experiment it to see if it would work.

If you use a lacing needle on the paracord it is much easier to do.

I have a question, you said cut a strand of leather for lacing but how long of a strand do I cut?

Depends what piece you are cutting. I believe I say the lengths for the block as far as the handle goes as long as the hyde is

@@ryanripo9083 one more thing, can you braid a 7 plait block? I’ve seen guys do 9 plait but it a 7 plait able to be done too?

@@jacoblaw5049 the block is already 7 strands but it's just a weave over 1 under one technically a plait is when to go over 1 under to for 7 plait and over 2 under 2 for 9 plait. 5 plait is really a weave also over 1 under 1. At least that how I understand the difference between plait and weave. I made all my blocks the same regardless. Also all my handles were 9 plait. It gives a more solid handle. If guys want some give in the handle can do a skip lace handle. I've even made handle where the leather just stops about half way across the handle. 7 plait handle just dont have enough to keep the handle from turning over too soon.
