I guess you recently started to play this game, hence you are very cautious with your throttle application and braking, also my one advice would be, understanding the co-driver calls and knowing what each call sign mean and then push harder as you gain confidence. Try to probably join some clubs or play multiplayer as driving against real people will make you push harder to your limits and learn faster and improve your skills 💗.
