Great lyrics and visuals. Aruniti and Pawandeep's youthful innocence reminded me of my teen years growing up as a superfan of the tri-murti (KK/RD/RK) that gave us some of the most iconic songs, music, and acts in Bollywood. Originally from Kathmandu (but living overseas since 1990), I have been to Kolkata twice (84 and 85) and to Shimla once (2009). Pawandeep's cover of KK songs during "Indian Idol" made my circle back to Hindi songs. I particularly liked his take of "Mana Ho Tum" and "Ab Ke Sawan". May be, I am biased as Pawandeep has Nepali blood (ancestry) and looks and behaves like a gentle Nepali youth. I wish this "Dynamic Duo" the best as they navigate the tricky (and challenging) paths of success and fame. As millions of others have wished, I too wish they stay together through "thick and thin". Indian Idol 12 was the only one I have ever watched, though I have taken a few glimpses of Salman Ali's singing prowess - his II audition left an undeletable impression. Aruniti's II was "outstanding", Pawandeep's was excellent, but as I watched him, I knew he was in the game till the end. Pawandeep gave many emotional performances, showed his vulnerabilities as a human being (Covid, missing home, mom and sisters), and showed the audience that he is a very decent person. Arunita reminded me of someone I used to know...(I too experienced "Channa Mereya") - I really liked her!
