What are the differences? When there are waves and wind in Ayia Napa, the weather in Protaras is calm. If a strong wind rises from the sea in Protaras, then go to Ayia Napa or Larnaca, it will be quieter there.
If there is a strong wind in Paphos, then it is the same in Limassol, Larnaca and Ayia Napa, because they are located on the same coast! There are many beaches in Cyprus that are well protected from the waves. And many, on the contrary, are open.

You're right, some of the beaches are quite dangerous at Paphos.
Yes you are right. In Paphos there are more rocky beaches with big waves, because the coast of Paphos is the first to meet the waves coming from the center of the Mediterranean Sea. In Limassol, Larnaca and Ayia Napa, the waves are smaller, and in Protaras even less. But there are some great beaches in Paphos! Waters in Limassol might be muddy but Coral Bay and Coralia in Paphos definitivno arent muddy,as i live in Tala 11years and even Cypriots know that best beaches are in Paphos and Famagusta region(Ayia nappa,protaras,..)

Which white sanded beach is the warmest ?
Nissi and Fig Tree Bay aren't deep in the beginning so they are the warmest I think

@@CyprusScope not many people know about that beach as its behind the grand resort hotel. however the public have access to the beach via a side alley entrance. easily the best bathing spot in limassol by a country mile. if not the best in cyprus definitely up there in the top 5.

@@-Ambassador- My beach is in a bay where you would be one of maybe a dozen people maximum at any one time. That you can walk out on Golden/white sands 50 metres before you are out of your depth, the water is always warm and the snorkelling is superb. The fact that it takes an effort to get there, where ordinary cars might struggle, there are no coaches within 5 miles and the sun sets across the sea, rather than behind you, might help as to where it is. But those of us who know it won’t mention its name to keep it as the best beach in Cyprus, bar far!

@@CyprusScope Once again, it's called occupied Cyprus. Before the illegal Turkish invasion of 1974, Cyprus was not divided to south and north, just to provinces. So every reference to north and south is implying that it is administratively divided to two parts, whereas Cyprus is illegally occupied.

@@CyprusScope Yes I agree!!! If you're a very slow swimmer or not aware of the currents you need to be extra careful, the waves there are really really and you should be "swim shoes" as well since the beach is full of pebbles!!!
