It speaks of the trees, connoting not simply relishing the trees surrounding, but as a bodhisattva leaving solitude for enlightened pursuits should the players entreat such. So in its seeding of dharmakaya, in karuna/caritas a study of Right Motivation in finery. I hear many ancient modes, here, and some quite difficult to carry in dharma's pith or timbre, including to the benefit of advanced practitioners. Excellently written.
It is such a pity that dearest Henry died so young. I am still mad at Frances for locking him out. Imagine all the wonderful works that he could have composed if he did not meet such a premature, untimely death.😢

Coincido con SJuli, esta es la clase de música, junto con Bach, que Scholl debió seguir cantando. Creo que arruinó su exquisita voz tratando inútilmente de ser escuchado por 2000 personas en los gigantescos teatros de ópera actuales, a través de enormes orquestas. Gracias a Dios que grabó muchísimo en su juventud y eso ya forma parte de la historia musical del siglo XXI.

En temps normal, j'écoute plutôt du heavy métal... J'aime ce que l'on regroupe familièrement sous le registre "musique classique", mais ce qui me gène c'est que j'ai l'sentiment que les compositeurs écrivaient chacun spécifiquement pour les gens de leur époque, un peu comme les compositeurs de musique pop aujourd'hui, suivant les modes. Avec cette pièce, c'est come si Purcell avait eu une vision de l'ensemble de l'histoire de la musique , de son époque jusqu'à aujourd'hui, et qu'il ai cherché à écrire une hymne pour l'humanité. C'est comme si cette pièce lui avait été envoyée, dictée, par une force supérieure... Dieu, peut-être.
