i absolutely love how mikey never says “no” to people’s team sky’s ocs, even if they use all legendaries or mess with the lore. it’s so encouraging for young artists to have someone like him to say “yes, i like that” and it’s just so sweet to see
I made a character with an actual lore reason for all legends; my team was pieced together from other dimensions that I traveled through after defecting from TEAM NIGHT SKY. I don't think Aero made it to aspitpiay, though.

It gave me spider man across the spider verse vibes and I LOVE how each pokemon has their own little backstories! My favourite team member is definitely the gligar and sceptile fusion! I love the how they were best friends and they were so close that they wanted to fuse!

People forget that the point of Perrin’s arc was that she learned that she liked her pictures best when catching the pokémon in a natural way. Sending Blood Moon Ursaluna for her to take pictures of would defeat the point of her story.

BFDI is "battle for dream island", a popular cartoon animation made by two brothers named Michael and Cary Huang. The events of the cartoon take place on a foreign planet named "goiky", where numerous inanimate objects are shown to be sentient with random numbers hosting challenges for the objects to face. once in a while, one of the objects are eliminated. Elimination is determined through the number of dislikes a challenger/object receives.
I always interpreted the salamence thing as the line used to ONLY be Bagon into Shelgon and over time their third evolution (salamence) was obtained through sheer willpower. "Salamence came about..." implies that there was a time that salamence just flat out DIDN'T EXIST, not that it was wingless.

I noticed the ninjask named valstrax, and I must let you know how perfect of a name that is, because valstrax is a monster from another series that is basically a dragon with a jet pack strapped to its back instead of wings

Galarian Rapidash, Glastrier, and Spectrier are completely different sizes, but I imagine that the ice and its spirit caused them to grow in size.
To be exact,
Rapidash/Galarian Rapidash are 5’07”
Spectrier is 6’07”
And Glastrier is 7’03”

Marril is absolutely a pikaclone! Hell, for almost a year before it's name was revealed everyone was calling it Pikablu. That should tell you all you need to know.
The only pikaclone is either a Pikachu genetically engineered from another Pikachu (good luck finding the one Mewtwo made) or a Pokévolved version of a Pichu genetically engineered from another Pichu. They'll be a raiclone if they Pokévolve into Raichu.
Why does Grunty Boi drops lore about his life and doesn’t elaborate. I love it.
Kieran's arc is a lot deeper than him just going mad. He's traumatized by his sister's verbal abuse (one of her lines literally being "It's not like I hit him or anything), his alienation from the town, and the perceived betrayal of the only friend he ever had. He's more like an inverse of Arven, in that Arven is able to heal from his trauma by connecting with the player, while Kieran is harmed when the player betrays him. It's shocking to me how many of the storylines in this game center around childhood abuse and trauma(Arven's neglect, Penny's bullying, Kieran's verbal abuse). I think that, for the most part, it's handled well, and emphasizes the importance of support systems, as well as how much damage words, or lack thereof, can do for a traumatized child.
i know its just jokes a lot of the time but it really annoys me when people boil down characters to stuff like that, especially when this is probably the best writing pokemon has had for a while
Yeah. This is why the Kieran hate makes me genuinely uncomfortable. I felt horrible for him and I kinda saw myself in him.

I love the character depth in this gen. All of the characters feel like they could be real people.
Kieran was always kinda... off. Long before he met the player. He gives off a lot of obsessive "quiet kid" red flags right from the start. For example, he idolized Ogerpon before he or anyone else (other than his grandfather) knew of Ogerpon's true kind nature. It kinda makes me think he was hoping Ogerpon would come back and beat up the villagers who had alienated him.
I imagine mickey sitting for 30 mins trying to think of a new original intro and he never fails to suceed

Had that Lunala/Zorua thing happen earlier this week, except with a Melloetta. In Pokémon Go, Zorua copies your buddy Pokémon and appears in the over world occasionally as that Pokémon. I at least waited to see what the CP and the catch chance was before using a ball. RIP that Master Ball

A good tip is that legendaries/mythicals NEVER spawn in the wild, unless it's the lake trio (very rarely + region locked depending on member), if an event is happening, or if it's the Galarian legendary birds on the daily insence

Dudunsparce being allowed in Team Sky does make sense, a Dunsparce was shown in the anime to be able to fly with those tiny wings, meaning Dudunparce should be able to as well
I don't remember what game it's in, probably multiple, but it's stated that Dunsparce can hover, but only a little

Also yes there are multiple games that say Dunsparce can float a little, but there's also just as many that say it can fly a little. Floating is entirely different from flying

Thank you for acknowledging the fact that Carmine grows as a person and becomes more caring for the player and other "outsiders". Carmine clearly still has some issues but I still think she was one of the best characters in the DLC that isn't Ogerpon.
So for pokemon go during the zorua event, it took the form of the partner you were walking around with, so many people thought there was a random legendary roaming around.
i saw it as a galarian moltres and i dont have any of those in my box or team.
I was so confused when I saw a random shiny Darkrai in the over world but thankfully used an ultra ball instead of my master ball.
Yeah it’s funny because people complain about their buddy Pokémon showing up on the map and it ending up being a Zorua. Also so many people say to not have your buddy Pokémon be a legendary so you don’t use your master ball on a zorua.
I have my buddy as a Pokemon that doesn't show up often and has the buddy badge so when it shows up I know it's zorua. now my problem is finding ditto, if found around 4-5 zoroa and yet I still can't get a single ditto
I have my buddy pokemon as a shiny pokemon, so I know when a zorua shows up because it shows up in the overworld as the shiny pokemon, but actual shinies don't do that

In Pokemon Go, Zorua appears as whatever pokemon you have selected as your Buddy (also any other pokemon you have had as your Buddy recently), so that person has a Lunala as their Buddy. There's no way that they thought that the Lunala on the map was a wild one.

17:53 someone explained it to me with the reason being you can go to the dlc before doing any of the scavi stories so bringing along the other three would result in either random memory loss, random information being dropped that you shouldn't know yet, or either being friends with random people you barely met or not knowing your good friends, or having to make versions depending on how far you are into the story of the basegame which would get complicated fast given you can do them in any order, learn new information along the way, and basically they'd just have to incorporate different lines for a whole lot of different possible story progresses and it would get very complicated very quickly
I can confirm Zorua's Prankster ability works like that. I recently caught my own Zorua in Go while disguised as Cosmog so it depends on who your walking buddy is
Yeah it'll always copy your buddy, what gave it away for me is that the Latios I had at the time was purified so it still had wispy lines

i agree this could be cool, but also, why do we have to be taken back in time in the first place? that could be a just hisui thing, since it’s got, y’know, the god of time as one of its main legendaries. i think we could just be born in that ancient time period-it could be different for each game, or maybe there’s another whole idea that i’m not thinking of. idk, i just personally don’t feel the need for it to always be “god teleports u back in time!!” for the general premise of any future legends games but maybe that’s just me idk lol

i was/am writing a pokemon fanfiction for old friend group. came up with bringing into light the 'hidden gym leaders', with their own 'group' but in their defense they are the guardians of the land.
I try to play with Teal Mask DLC with new save and then try to travel to Kitakami before Gym/Treasure Hunt, the Pokémon in Kitakami and Carmen/Kieran will be not over level 20
but if you come back later they do elevated as much as your gym badge you possessed
The "Not all X are X type" is true for several other dragons and bugs as well

I'm thinking of doing a Pokemon Scarler/Violet nuzlocke with the added difficulty of playing all 3 main "roads" as different runs
Meaning I have to make a team for the gyms, a team for the titan pokemon and a team for team star while still only being able to catch one pokemon per route/zone

I think the person at 5:20 got confused about Salamence's dex entries about how it gained wings due to its fervent wish to fly. They thought this was a statement about ancient Salamence when it was actually about Bagon.

Lore-wise speaking, there is a chance Fezandipiti used to be a Flying/Fairy type.
It's just that by wearing the Toxic Chain, Fezandipiti's body got altered through the toxic stimulants emited by it and thus its type very likely changed into Poison/Fairy along the way as well- :Ôc
But fairy is weak to poison

Mikey, the teal mask has crystals from the crystal pool in it, and if you remember, Carmine says they can make you see people that have died. The crystals, not the mask, brought them back. My theory
Adding onto this, the sign that explains the four masks says that the Teal Mask is able to "bring life back into withered greenery around it," so that in conjunction with the crystals easily could've done it. There's also the theory that it's connected to a fourth legendary, but that's a whole other thing
"A Ninjask named Valstrax" Good to see another Valstrax enjoyer. In the Monster Hunter series, a monster named Valstrax is a dragon that uses its wings as a jetpack to fly at supersonic speeds. Its head is shaped similarly to a falcon or an eagle to help it with aerodynamics
Jigglypuff (in Adventures manga, so anything can happen) is a floating means of transport for the first character to be seen having one.
Hey there Mikey, I was just watching the video and thought how would the gym leaders be if they weren't using mono-type teams, since the focus (for the player at least) should be to make a balanced team. I think it would make all the games a bit harder than regular ones and would be an awesome experience. If you have any thoughts on this would be awesome to hear them.

Jigglypuff can fly it has been shown in the manga, Green uses her Jigglypuff like transport, Blastoise too is shown to fly using its cannons like jetpack boosters but it does eventually run out of water so yeah.
Down here in texas you can expect a nice sunny 85 degrees f and the next day does a 180 and it’s snowing 🌨
In GO, Zorua disguises itself as your buddy-Pokemon. Since Lunala is accessible, it‘s technically possible to encounter its sprite in the wild, but legendaries don‘t actually spawn in the wild and when they do, it‘s during events and they are basically impossible to catch.

To answer Mikey's question about Pokemon go, in my experience with transforming Pokemon like Zorua and Ditto, the Pokemon WILL look like the impostor Pokemon until capture, when it transforms back into its original form. So if the Lunala happened during some sort of event like the recent Rayquaza event, it's totally fair for the poster to have been tricked into thinking it was a real Lunala. Hope that helps! 😊
4:51 basically how it works is a zorua will disguise as a super op Pokémon but when you catch it you get really disappointed. The best way to tell its zorua is if it has low cp.

Rock may not be an OP type, but if a Pokémon were to be all types at once, it’s only weakness would be Rock
The reason why the main gang (penny etc) didn't go to Kitakami is because 1. the DLC takes place during the school year (when starting a new play through) and 2. the 3 of them all meet/interact for the first time at the end of the game

For Salamence, the Sapphire dex entry directly below the Ruby one that Mikey read confirms that it's Salamence's prevo(s) that wished for wings, not Salamence itself.
But that also means there was a time before the mutation took place. And the possible evolution line before that mutation is what they were talking about.

Meteor Beam is the only Special Rock attack that isn't 100% accurate, but it's not even available in Paldea. As for Physical Rock attacks, three of them are signature moves (Accelerock for Lycanroc, Salt Cure for Naclstack line, Ivy Cudgel for Ogrepon (Cornerstone Mask)), while the fourth is Smack Down.

The best example of type overlap not mattering is gastrodon and Gyarados, being that they both help with some of each other's weaknesses.

Swords of Justice are a trio since keldeo is a mythical and the rest are legendaries.

And I think whether being legendary and mythical, they can still be in the same group.
