Temu is dangerously addictive! I've made 4 large miniature hauls. I took have had a few issues with the sizing of miniatures. I've ended up with full size items as well. Rest assured, you are not the only one who had issues with scaling sizes😂
Just make sure it says 1:12 cause that's the doll house scale. I learned it the hard way.
Temu is addictive, so many interesting pieces for such a low price, its always tempting to add more items to my miniatures stash. :)

Their returns are really easy and good. And they do have the hanging garlic and peppers in miniature too. Lol. I would have done the same. I would return the damaged items and hanging veggies :)
I was happy to hear the returns are easy, that is helpful. 😀
the little Ziplock baggies that some of those come in are reuseable if not cut with some scissors, I have even used them as glass for windows on small projects, that one stand could even be used as a desk, you really picked out some awesome miniatures have a blast crafting and thank you so much for sharing this video. I am just starting miniatures, you may even be able to make some out of clay, or even resin, Enjoy your crafting. If you save the little baggies until you are sure you have enough of that item it can be very helpful with item name and product number, so you get the one you want.
I love the fabric. They can also be used to make bolts of fabric for the general store.
That is definitely something I'll be including in the general store. :)
I thought the Temu bag was a Christmas ham when I first saw the thumbnail 🤣😂🤣
Same!
I wondered why a giant ham came up when I searched dollhouse miniatures 😂
You know who would love those big vegetables would be your local high school play department. Anytime they have to set up a kitchen there's no budget for those things but they would look great. 👍
I will have to check in on that, my son and daughter in law used to do theater in high school, great idea! :)
I got the biggest chuckle over the vegetables being too large. I certainly understand, lol. I wanted peaches for a fruit basket in my Dollhouse and got some slightly larger than 1:6 Scale. I was avoiding making some, now, I will have too. Temu has become an obsession for miniature purchases. Ask me how much I have spent and I will tell you, "too much." I have wanted a kettle and after seeing yours it is perfect. Thank you for that! Have a wonderful day and thank you again for the laugh!
That was definitely a funny ordering mistake for sure! :) I really enjoy ordering miniatures from Temu as well, they have such a fun selection. :)
@@snapdragonhollow, Temu absolutely does. I am sure it is making a mint in the miniature market.
This was fun to watch. Absolutely hilarious that you received stuff that was too big. Most people are always complaining that things are smaller than expected.
I thought that was so funny as well. :)
I had a moving sand toy back in the 70's and it had blue, white, and black sand that must have had different weights to them with air in the plastic frame and it was called a "Magic Window" by Wham-O. I loved it and I noticed that Hobby Lobby sells a similar one in the toy/coin collecting section. They need to bring it back.
I’m so glad you did this! I have the garlic and chilis in my cart. Guess I better go check that! 😂
Wow, what an amazing haul!
You can use the fabric squares and fold them around a narrow piece of cardboard or popsicle stick to use for the bolts of fabric. I picture Olsens Mercantile from Little house on the Praire. Your store may be a bit more modern but I think it might still work well.😊
That is a great idea, I'm definitely hoping to do something like that, I am definitely inspired by Olsen's Mercantile. :)
I have made a lot of food items in clay and they turned out so nice. I made a miniature bakery and I won a Blue Ribbon at the Ohio State Fair. I have 3 dollhouses and love all of them. I love miniatures. I also made a miniature store.
That sounds like so much fun, I would really like to start making miniatures as well. :) Entering them in a fair also sounds like fun, I have entered baked goods in our county fair and its always so exciting to win a ribbon. Miniature stores are so fun to look at! :)
I have done lots of seashell crafts. Hot glue works on most surfaces, but I have also used E6000. E6000 will be more permanent. Enjoy your channel. I am a crafter/diyer, and I love miniatures! ❤
Thank you 😀 I will have to try out the E6000, thanks for the suggestion! 😀
Put some straw in the boxes to display the veggies, wont need so many then
That is a great idea, thank you! :)
I just bought the coffee maker and black laptop. Can't wait to get them!
Another place to look for miniatures is in nail charms. Candy, cookies, bits and things that might work for dollhouses/dioramas 😊
Great suggestions, thank you! :)
I have trouble knowing what to choose with nail art bits 😊
I also tend to not check the sizes. You're not alone!! :)
It's definitely difficult to remember at times, glad to know I'm not alone! :)
I just saw the garlic and chillies and laughed. Usually it’s the other way around. People order something thinking it’s full sized and instead they get a Persian rug the size of a coaster.
I built a corner fire place will living in Florida for my granddaughter. I redecorated a dollhouse for her for Christmas a few years ago. But I covered it all in tiny shells, gluing with Aline’s tacky glue. They all held very well. I also made an other one and used tiny Little Rock’s I gathered from outside. Again they held awesomely.
That sounds like a wonderful project, thanks for the glue suggestion! :)
thanx, i'm been wondering about the quality of Temu's miniatures. might get a few items for my victorian doll house.
Hi great miniature haul! I also do miniatures, but I'm still doing kits. But I have been getting miniatures for my stash for when I want to either add things to my kits or venture out on my own. Also watch for the lighting deals, most items are less than $1. TFS 🥰
Thank you! 😀 My daughter also enjoys kits, they turn out so nice. I’ll definitely have to keep watch for those deals. 😀
Order a lot from temu. Takes about 10-15 days to get here, Sweden. I would glue that little leg.
Beautiful haul btw... my go to glues are E 6000, tacky or wood glue
I also like E6000 for most things, gorilla wood glue is good. For very small items I often use super glue gel (as long as it's not plastic or glass cuz that will fog up from the fumes). And Quick Grip is like E6000 but not quite as thick & is faster drying. That one is good too, might be ideal for your shell box. It also is good for gluing rhinestones cuz it doesn't mess with the silver backing like other glues do.
What an amazing haul!!! So awesome 🤩 I need to order more now
Many of the small bags don't need cutting, they have zip tops, if you've missed it.
Thinking the same. Those are nice to save
E6thousand is the best glue but u need to use in a ventilated area like maybe outside cause it’s toxic to breath in u can also use a mask made for it I hope it helps
For the shell box…there are hot glue sticks that have a real glue in them, or you could use grout, I mosaic tiled a plinth once….you have to lay the wet side up till it dries, then shift to next “wall” and so on. (You can add clear sparkle to the grout for a little more whimsy)
Great haul 👌
Thank you! :)
I love everything but I would send the dresser and chessboard back for another. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. 😊
Thank you 😊 I was happy to find they have a great return policy thankfully. 😀
Oh, forgot to say.. That pen uses the same blade I use in my Cricut machine.. So I'm curious to know how well that works. .. and yes, I remember the sand paintings.. I loved those.. so relaxing to watch.
I didn’t realize it was the same blade as the Cricut, that’s cool, I tried it out and so far it works great, I think it will be a very useful tool. 😀
@@AprilsHome Yeah, I was surprised the first time I saw one of these. I keep forgetting to order one though.. hehe
I am looking forward to seeing your general store. I hope you show us that.
Super fun! Thank you for your videos!😊 Hope you & your family have a wonderful Memorial Day!😊🎉
Thank you! 😀 I hope you also have a nice Memorial Day! 😀
That is how Temu ships a lot of their things. We have several bags that need opened here.
In the seventies we had those shell boxes everywhere. They were even colored in pink and blue. Sadly mine did not survive.
I would go back with some of the fruits & breads and use some powdered chalk pastels to add some additional shading for a more realistic look. Same thing can be done to the furniture for a natural aging look. Just spray seal it when done with workable fixatif or matte clear spray sealer so it doesn't rub off. You can also lightly sand the furniture in spots for natural wear to make it look more aged and realistic. Otherwise it kinda kills the believability when everything has that shiny new finish and is kinda monochromatic flat in color.
The tape usually means custom selected and opened it for inspection. They then tape it up to complete transit. It is just part of stopping the illegal trade, sale and smuggle of bad items. I wouldn’t have thought that major retailer’s were subject until I was watching the series Smugglers. Corp Wharehouse shipping of paint. Entire semi of it. Dog sniff lead to all being open- Several hundred gallon size buckets of paint- 40 random buckets had fentanyl instead of paint. Customs had to open test and reclose every one of those several hundred buckets. So even the big retailers have to be inspected due to people at the Wharehouse using the mass transfer as a rathole into other markets for items.
Just make sure it says 1:12 and it's for doll houses.
You Could make a cool kitchen wreath for someone if not yourself. Add some old thrifted kitchen tools maybe.
You are making an old-fashioned Sailor's Valentine box. Use a glue that holds/grabs quickly. Word to the wise, you will need 2-3x the amount of shells that you think you'll need.😊❤🐚🐚
There is a store fruit stand on Temu, but you have to really look for it.
The tea pot is nice.
That little dresser is beautiful. Definitely return it and the chess set. I haven't had to return anything yet, but They do have a great return policy, and even when I was leaving my review if I left less than 5 stars they asked me if I'd like to return the item for a refund or replacement. All those tools are fabulous. They have so many nice items made of metal for great prices. ** I should finish videos before commenting.. haha Sorry.. I'm glad they refunded your money, and hope you can repair the items they let you keep**
I was happy the return policy was so nice, it definitely makes me more confident to make future purchases. 😀 I love the selection. 😀
@@AprilsHome Me too. I just ordered some stuff yesterday. It's a dangerous website. I have to have a lot of self control not to buy everything I see.. haha
I had the same problem with the scale size. I thought because I also said miniatures for dollhouses the items would be small and they were too big
Take your fabric and make them look like bolts of material for you store
I have a few of the sand and water scenes that I bought on Amazon. The only problem with them is they usually have too much air in them and don't work as well as advertised. Would love to find one you can add water to.
Have you considered making your own veggies with Fimo clay? I made a veg garden and filled it with handmade vegs. It was much cheaper and alot of fun lol
I definitely am considering starting to learn to make miniatures out of Fimo, I picked up an assortment of Fimo colors a few weeks ago at my craft store, so hopefully I can give that a try. :)
I make my own diy clay. Out of white glue and either baking soda or corn starch. I’m cheep 😂
8:41 It depends on what you want to glue the shells to. If it can handle heat without a problem, my suggestion is hot glue. But if it's something that's heat sensitive, or something with a glossy finish, hot glue probably wouldn't be a good choice. Hot glue tends to peal off of glossy surfaces like glass or china. In a case like that I would suggest a 2 part clear epoxy.
I think the fun is the most important part. ❤
I remember seeing those sand things at my aunt and uncles (when I was a kid lol)
They definitely bring back memories. :)
Hiya! How are you? Love your video, I'm very new to the whole miniatures fun, I found some great bits on Temu, I was just wondering if you had a link for the drawers, the ones that were broken, so pretty, I looked and searched like crazy but couldn't find them. Please and thank you, really appreciate it. :)
Most Bags come from Remy aka china, and most of the boxes come from temu's warehouse in California. At the top of your wish list you can see - shipped from temu and next to it says local warehouse
Sorry I didn't see that this was vloged a year ago
Oh no. I serious just placed my 1st temp minis haul, and I ordered garlic and peppers.. 🤞
I have one of the sand things that I received from my uncle after his passing. Mine is pink and white, I used to play with it when I was a child. Mine glows in the dark. You may want to check yours out to see if yours that does the same. Mine is placed by the lamp next to my bed.
Those little rocks could be made into a mini waterfall.
@@kimberlyforrest3676 That’s a fun idea!! 😀
I've seen people use hot glue for sea shells, but that always looks TACKY and messy--I would try UHU glue or fume-free Loctite Extreme glue. [Great Video!!]
I have ordered things that were big also when I thought they were miniatures. Ha😂
Do they have battery operated lighting on temu? What's their pricing like for electrified dollhouse lights?
I remember the wave machine. Had one. Don't remember the sand one
That shovel is actually a snow shovel.
I'd send the chessboard back for replacement as well as the chest of drawers.
The return process was very easy, I was really glad it went smoothly. 😀
@@AprilsHome I just replaced a duplicate order with no issues, very easy!
Aleene’s Quick Grip or Regular Tacky Glue works just fine for shell crafts. I made reproduction shell sailor valentines and have not had any issues with shells coming off. Make sure you prime and paint your wood box before gluing on the shells.
I’d send the full size produce back as well.
I wonder how long will it take for me to see what's in side the package?
The fabrics can be rolled and displayed in your general store.
Would they let you exchange those larger pieces?
Use it for Halloween on door for vampire, chilis for Cinco De Mayo
Awesome haul! How long does it take to ship to you in US?
Use the larger items for thanksgiving decorations.
On temu you have 90 days to return items.
That’s really good to hear, 90 days is a great return policy. 😀
I wonder if anyone has done a miniature pickers mall.
Is temu the same as ali express, I see a lot of the exact same items!
Tacky glueworks❤wish sells lots veggies fruits
At least you won't get garlic breath lol 😅🎉
The super taped up bags are because of customs.
Return is very easy. For me they told me to just keep the items and they refunded my money. They do ask for a photo of the item
Why don’t you keep a tape measure by your place where you shop and then you can visualize the size better. That is funny that would have been something my mom would have done too. She never worried about the technical part of a project like measurements
How does one get these?
These items are available on Temu.com :) Unless they are sold out, items tend to go in and out of stock, but they always have a fun selection of dollhouse miniatures.
@@snapdragonhollow what category are they under?
@@Annette224 I'm not sure what category they are under, I just type dollhouse miniatures in the search, to see which ones are currently available. :)
@@snapdragonhollow I have been looking every day, I do type in "dollhouse miniatures" but have yet to see any. What does it look like? What should I look for? Are they right at the top of your search? :)
I just went to Temu and typed in Dollhouse miniatures and many came up, I look mostly for 1:12 scale they are in the doll and accessories category and the toys category. Hopefully that helps. @@Annette224
I heard that it's a PAIN to return stuff to TEMU--you might be better off trying to fix it---I'm glad your Refund process came out Okay!!
Read before you buy 😅
In all my orders I have never gotten a box.
The so called peaches are really pears
Miniature is actually pronounced min i chuh
Disappointing sand picture. Mine from back then is still better than this one.
B6000 glue
Lol lol cilicon
