Great video! Beautiful scenery, great camera angles, and some massive loads of coal. And being a railfan since I was a child, I love hearing and seeing the SD's working hard. I've watched numerous railfan vids from this area and would love to visit there some day. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. The Loup Creek Branch is definitely a railfan highlight of the New River Gorge.
Nice video. This is the first video I’ve seen of a train in LHF with DP’s
Wow! I had no idea this area was so beautiful. The shots at 5:00 & 10:50 are truly inspiring😀

I've always wanted to, maybe this will be the year? Happy New Year!
They have some rebuilt or modified sd40s here next to me they have a pointed nose on one.
i saw one of those yesterday in Chadbourn, NC
They have the best looking engines in the country!!
Great video.
Good to see those tunnel motors in a pleasing paint scheme instead of the UP paint. I much rather see them in espee paint.
I never thought I'd see the day where a tunnel motor ran long hood forward.
Good coverage on this operation! Are those SD40T-2's manned helpers or distributed power?
Thanks. The SD40T-2s are manned helpers. Used on both grades.
