Flywheel is such a simple device to look at, but totally alters the behavior of the system. Similar to an inductor in electrical circuit. When speed increases, flywheel resist the increase of speed. Contrary to this, when speed reduces, the flywheel tries to maintain the speed constant.
BTW, could you please post a video as how a dynamic balancing of flywheels done (how are the location and depth of the drills decided on flywheel)? I know, they use stroboscopic effect, but what is the mechanism? Same is used for any rotation device -- rotor of motor, fans, tyre, shafts, crankshaft etc, all uses the same technique.
Debraj Deb thanks for the info
I've always viewed a flywheel as more of a mechanical capacitor, for every reason you just cited.
@@vincentrobinette1507 A mechanical capacitor. You're exactly right. The high tech EMALS catapult on the US Navy's new Gerald R Ford class Aircraft Carriers is powered by flywheels. I thought it would be some sort of capacitor bank. Apparently not.
haha bud bud bud
Thank you! This video is detailed and still very simple and broken down for the people who are new learners
Thanks for the comment
Thank you, please share with your friends too, you can also connect with us on face book just search Techtrixinfo
But will they( flywheel) consume considerable energy.. reducing the real output...why not the other pistons of power stroke manage the idle strokes...
Thank you, have a look a our other videos too, subscribe to us for more training video updates..
thanks for the video, i am found it useful for my physics lab report but i wish i could hear everything u were saying more clearly.. but i got a lot of information from it
Racist
the electric motor disengages as the engine self drives.
Grt...
Thank you
Nice work brother 👍👍
Thanks for the comment
Plz make a video on the dimensions of flywheel...
You should be more specific, this flywheel your working on looks like a flywheel for a fucking truck like come on really, keep it specific dude.
explained the process in simple words.thats great bro.!!
TOO QUIET!
Would have been nice to hear the explanation........................

Good for making barbells
why aircraft piston engines don't have flywheel at all?
can you make the flywheel spin with an electric motor and still use the transmission normally?
Thank you, i enjoyed this had no idea the fly wheel was that big, but the engine dose look like a diesel engine.
how can you tell it's diesel by looking at it?
Yes I have thank you, I am a big fan of this channel.
thank you.... you cleared my doubts......
mast
Thanks! good video.
