This is one of those moments when time stops on Earth. One of the most incredible live performances I've ever seen.

No kidding. I gritted my teeth the whole time.
I literally watch this over & over. It makes me just heartsick how the industry took a CHILD & traumatized him so he wants nothing to do with it. I understand he had mental health issues but u cannot tell me a good amount of it is to blame for his anorexia & anxiety. He is fucking brilliant. It's sad we prob won't ever see Silverchair together to sing the songs we loved but I totally get it.
@@leaveittoweaver4525nfortunately Australia had the biggest tall poppy syndrome on earth and going from living in regional Newcastle to all that attention would have been super weird, especially for an introvert who felt and thought differently to most Aussies his age. The other Australian bands were boring compared to silverchair, with average joe looking band members who also acted similar. So the paparazzi mostly focused on Daniel. They even followed him to school.

Yes but that was a labour of love, for the other two Chris and Ben, a cash injection before itunes. This can only get better and I know for sure SC are not done yet, he needs to do this so he can come back stronger in the rock seen. The live SC concerts were the best

Yeah Im a Silverchair fan, that’s obviously how I discovered Daniel. But how could you not realize the artistry of his now work. This song is fantastic, all of his work is out of this world.

THIS is actually really quite cool. Helps me appreciate the vibe he's going for a bit better. Still not that crazy about the new material...but I DO like this song. And this performance. And the lyrics... *"I thought that everything was effortless and natural.....but I'm only just a creature."* I have no idea how close I am on that....but this song is so confessional. I feel like that one line is about how people percieve his songwriting abilities as supernatural....but he's merely an evolved ape like the rest of us. It's really quite beautiful...especially since I'm very well acquainted with Daniel after following him so closely these past 15 years since I first heard Neon Ballroom as a kid. The lyrics of this song kinda break my heart a bit...there's some brutally *honest* lyrics in this song.
avedic Agreed! I was just about to say, "This song breaks my heart a little bit" then I saw you wrote that. These lyrics are so honest and he feels them from the depths of his being. I appreciate that he shared his feelings with the world; it probably wasn't easy. I love everything that he does. I used to only be a rock fan but I think he's helped me step out to appreciate all kinds of music. I look forward to everything he comes out with. I hope as time goes on, he is more recognized for his artistry -- the feelings he evokes with his music are profound. Not a lot of people can do that. This song is beautiful and a perfect demonstration of what he can do.
