This scene always made me tear up. Snow had this wonderful life pictured for her daughter and wanted to make so many happy memories as a family. But because of the curse, she never got to have that. As Snow said, she didn’t even get to stay the night. Heck, Emma didn’t even get to stay for 5 minutes!
I tested up too. The idea, the sentiment was so sweet. Snow wanted to do something most new parents would want to do. Just simply being there to watch the life you created grow. Snow and Charming lost that chance. It was taken from them. The opportunity to watch their family grow. That’s what’s so sad.
Me too. In my opinion the show failed to give us more of such emotional moments after the second season. Season 3A was still okay but afterwards it was over. The exact moment when the show began to crack down, was when Cora died.
I just realized, Emma does not wear her jacket (her symbolic armor) for most of this scene, showing openness to her mother's nostalgia; but she puts it on to show them switching their focus to the task at hand, setting aside the emotions that make her uncomfortable.
