Also check that both the upper and lower engine wiring harnesses have been replaced. The wire insulation is biodegradable and starts to just crumble away causing all kinds of problems. Sadly all of the wiring in the car is this same material but it’s usually fine as it doesn’t get exposed to such extreme temp swings. Oh and the ac evap core used two conflicting metals that cause them fail rather quickly. Evap is relatively cheap. But the entire dash, center console, and front seats have to be removed. It’s about 25 hour job on the books. Leveling suspension is easy enough to handle. Also keep the lumbar supports on tue seats set to zero and don’t ever use that feature. The bladders easily pop and this will cause the vacuum pump to run continuously. When it fails you will also loose the door locks and the retractable trunk handle. Otherwise these are really wonderful cars. Oh be sure to not ever drop or loose the flip keys as Mercedes no longer makes them. All you can get now is a standard “master” key. Which means manukau unlocking the car. I don’t know why Mercedes stopped producing the remote flip keys.totally stupid.
Thanks for sharing this absolute masterpiece! The car is just in museum shape quality. Truly speaks to the level of engineering prowess Mercedes had back then. The gentleman who owned it for 29 years, was there a reason he never drove it?
Gorgeous condition, but you sure that isn't a rebadged 400? The S/SEL 500s came exclusively with burl walnut wood trim, powered rear seats, and heated seats front and rear standard for this year. Also the digital odometer wasn't available on this model year either. Something seems suspicious about this car..
the 500 is better than 600 both of them have the same performances in 0to60Mph the problem of W140 1st gen the biodegradables wiring harness this car reached 29000Miles wich indicated that she has always the original wiring harness
You can adjust the hydraulic rear suspension to sit a little higher. The valve block is to the right of the rear left tire. Loosen the bolt and slide the bracket up to set the new height. Very easy to do

This. Is. Beautiful
Mercedes are nice cars! Love the way they sound they have a very unique sound with the stock Motors. Thanks for the video👍
When are we going to have another video for this W140?
It looks longer than 1995 s500! I wonder if this is the elusive v140?
Looks like a really clean car. Get rid of that bogus spoiler on the trunk lid.
I have one it’s same thing but mine is 92 sel
You want to sell it
Beautiful car with splendid wheels but a spoiler absolutly not fit so well in a luxury sedan...
Lol in 93 the odometer was still analog they change it around 1995 on s class lol
That is so clean! Wow!

beautiful thing
♥️
Why is it sitting so low
Love it
I like the 500 more than the 600. I won't make the sound of the gas pump because it's a Beethoven tune😂
