Jack is living my childhood. Cody, you are giving that boy one of the greatest gifts a man can give their child. He will grow up stronger, more capable, healthier, mentally stable and more secure than most young men he will come across. Every day I feel guilt for not providing my children the same environment as you are providing. I still have time at 8 and 10 years old but must make a life changing business decision to do so. If you read this, please pray I make the right choice and I'll pray, as I always do, that God continues to bless the awesome family that you and Mrs. W have built.

Here's the thing: All comments count. Unlikes as well as likes also count. For the most part people are idiots. They will watch things that piss them off just as much as they will watch things they like. At the end of the day they are ALL views which is money in the bank. What people think is meaningless as long as they are watching.

I really liked your story at the end, Cody. As a man who has never dated once, but thinks about if marriage is for me all the time, I enjoy it when I hear people who understand and appreciate the concept of an equal marriage. Even if its within the bounds of a more old fashioned style union. Of course, having God in the marriage is the key.
    Thanks for sharing.

Those were some very sage thoughts. Those sometimes small, but thoughtful gestures extended by a spouse act to affirm that they not only care, but are aware. In this day with the busy lives some of us choose to burden ourselves with, it becomes easy to lose sight of the big picture and just focus on our individual roles. When complacency sets in, resentment takes root. In our family, we don't have the same set roles as you do and often share the burden of the day to day. There always will be certain jobs that to which one spouse is the primary for, but the other is often quite capable and willing to step in if needed. The topping video looked like quite a ride...I've never been bothered by heights and climbing, however one of my most harrowing experiences came at the top of an antenna tower 30ft up when a gust of wind got the tower (and me) waving back and forth.

Thank you so much for putting this video together Cody! Your talk at the end was amazing. I read some of the comments below, and I want to encourage you to stay close to our Lord. It is very easy to miss and or dismiss what the Holy Spirit is telling you. The sad thing is, and I have become very soft hearted & compassionate for them, most people just don’t realize that they’re blind until the Holy Spirit opens their eyes one day. Very much like the movie the matrix, where the character is given a choice, Take the blue pill, & the story ends, you wake up the next day in bed and believe whatever you want to believe. Take the red pill, your eyes will be opened, & you will see the truth. Bless you & your family my brother in Christ!!

Loved the advice at the end and your interactions with your son. Keep it up bud. This quote came to mind one which I love as I watched this clip.
"The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self control, the value of education, honest work, and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home."

works very well for my to fill the connectors with dialectic grease before installing the wire and crimping. eliminates corrosion and water entry. also I feel it helps with vibration also. have a trailer I built over 20 years ago using this and outdoor SO rubber covered wire and the only problem is one tail light. and that was because vibration wore the spring loaded contacts into the insulator and wouldn't male contact any longer.

Didn’t expect the topic at the end of the video. So... thank you. As long time steaders we have learned that what you describe is called VALUE. Imagine asking our great Grandma and Grandpa if these unseen, unpaid chores were of value. They would likely look at you as if you had a screw loose. It is all considered work. But most work done on the homestead is done out of a deep love for family. Unfortunately in these united States we are caught in what is still a treasury note valued construct which blocks the view of true value. While people are blessed to trade hours for treasury notes we are as homesteaders purposely moving into an independent life creating our own family wealth as a team. So like our great grandparents and possibly great great grandparents in this generation it is up to us to break from this destructive construct and see the life of love. I promise you, Love is the greatest motivator and it’s rewards are beyond all treasury trades. Blessings to you and your family.

As a result I have trouble with doing a lot of standing and walking which limits the things I can do. As a result, my wife has taken on the work outside the home. I do as much as I can around the house to help out but sometimes it's not enough.
