I know I’m late to the party, but I mix in matte mod podge with the paint for the dolls I reroot. Haven’t had any issues! Maybe that’ll help for next time :)
@ethandemarest3386 Never too late to the party!! 😃💯✌️ Wow! Really?! This technique fascinates me! So you mix it into any acrylic premium paints? Do you have a specific brand of paints you use? Is it a small quantity you add? This is such helpful info for so many! 🙏Thanks for sharing! BTW GREAT Dance moves/skillzzz you have!! 🕺 🎶 🎵 🎶 😎👊✌️🤗 Dancing with the STARS ✨ here you come!! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I have also seen some Doll contact creators, Also use Mr. super clear to spray on the doll head and then let it dry for a few hours before they start rerooting.
@myloveylove123 Really!!! Wow! 😃Thanks so much for sharing! 🙏 Love this community of passing on helpful information to others!! So Awesome!! It helps me and so many others!! Thank you again for commenting & sharing! 💕❤️🙏💕❤️☺️
Wow, fabulous job Tam!!!She looks gorgeous as both a redhead and blonde 😍😍😍 She has such a unique face mould. I can see why you’d like to try a different hair colour! It was really cool to see them in different outfits at the end. So cute!!! What a journey! Thanks for sharing bc I also was overwhelmed at the selection of acrylic paint 😂. I haven’t gotten any red paint for my doll yet but now I’ll have a better idea of what to look for. Love the video, xo.
@RikkiB I know Right?!? So overwhelming the amount of Acrylic paints 😅 It really was quite the journey!! Awwwww so GREAT to read your comment!! She really is such a Beautiful striking doll! Love the casual look on them both too! ☺️💯👍 So glad you enjoyed the video and I truly sincerely hope it is helpful!! 🧡❤️♥️🙏❤️🧡❤️ Looking forward to seeing your Reroot! So EXCITING!! 😁👏👏👏
She looks stunning now though I also love her as a redhead. I wish they'd use her face mould on fashionistas. I felt your pain during the process having been through similar issues. Love that you persevered. 😊🥰❤️
@mirisuru I sooooo agree! I Love her with both hair colours, her face mold is stunning! Having her on a fashionistas would be such a bonus!! 💕🤗💕 Really!! You’ve gone through similar issues! No way! It’s comforting to know that!! It was most unexpected!! In the end a rainbow came from the storm! 🌈 👏👏👏🤗✌️
I always use varnish after the acrylic paint, it stays on better like that. Of course acrylic is not made to stay on a non porous surface without coming off. Canvasas are different. Always tell the seller where you want to apply the paint.
@royal-tea7543 Awww Thank you so much! Glad the vid was informative for you! ☺️👍💯✌️ It’s neat to see them in sporty gear! 😁👊😎 The redhead is wearing Rainbow High doll Ruby from series one red/black jacket, she is also wearing the Etsy shop Kosucas white top (I did a video reviewing her Etsy shop items) and she is wearing Wild hearts Crew pants! The doll that has white blond hair, shaved side. She has a Barbie ball cap 🧢 on and Barbie runners from a Barbie Fashionistas doll! The blond Barbie has a Toque from an Etsy shop called JanaEdrova, her yellow top is again from the Etsy shop Kosucas, her pants & runners are from two separate Barbie BMR 1959 dolls, her jean jacket is from Barbie Signature Styled by Marni Senofonte doll! 😁👍 It’s quite a mixture! Hope all that info didn’t make your head spin round too much! ✌️💕☺️ I have reviewed all those items in other vids! Thanks again for your comment!
Honestly if you get some matte liquid acrylic sealer and mix it into your paint before painting it should work fine. Ive never had acrylics peel and flake off like that even without the sealer.
Odile sculpt should the main face of the collector line just like the mackie sculpt before. No hate to Millie but I’m tired of seeing playline pixelated Millie in some collector doll.
@jhey2325 I honestly don’t know the names of different Barbie sculpts, so you sharing a couple names of them is very insightful to me! Thank you! I now know The Mackie sculpt is one of my ALL time top Favourite sculpts! And it’s been really nice to have the Odile sculpt! She’s beautiful! 💕❤️💕🥰 Looks like she existed back in the day! I agree, It would be nice to see more of her! The serious face Millie is a fave of mine… I agree I miss the old days of when Barbie was not Pixelated! Back in the day, face paints were Beautiful! But the holiday Barbie line is pretty good, no pixelation like the fashionistas and play line have alot of pixelation! Most unfortunate!
