There's about a 100% correlation between winning matches where the team actually jumps on my ult vs ones where they actively avoid it. But that's solo queue hell I guess.
Yeah I've had teams still blame me for low heals when I deliberately say, "Play on cart if you want ult heals" at the beginning of the match. They're constantly running off cart and the Vanguards walk backwards away from the objective. Like...?? Don't even get me started on how people CONSTANTLY walk out of Dagger Storm and complains that I'm not healing them faster. I play in GM and it's a constantly issue. The ones who know how to get healed are the ones who win by a landslide and I can tell who's the win-con within the first 30 seconds of the match.
Great gameplay. Some things to take a way from the video guys. 1. As a healer, or any support, your positioning is extremely important. Being in the backline makes it much easier to keep a visual on all of your teammates to give them the help they need. 2. In order to truly give all of your teammates the help they need. You need to constantly be checking your surroundings for low health teammates not in immediate point of view 3. Doing damage as a healer should only be done as a necessity or if its apart of your healing kit. This also goes hand in hand with #1. As healers who tend to try to not focus on heals often die on the frontline. I dont think i need to state how hard it is to maintain a push or defensive position when you are lacking heals. 4. Cloaks shadow ability allows the entire teams to be momentarily invincible. WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO COUNTER MANY ULTIMATES WITHIN THE GAME. 5. The same previously mentioned ability allows you the gain height advantages you wouldnt normally have. 6. Placing daggers aoe heals where a teammate is going to be tends to be more useful than placing it where they currently are when the game is a bit more chaotic. 7. Cloak and daggers ultimate does both damage to the enemy team as well heals your team. Making it great for pushing a point or for keep a point secure from capture
@mrbloxo5693 Lol nah I knew most of these things. The only thing I didn't use nearly as much was cloaks ability for level change. I've just been playing games like this since overwatch 1 and figured I'd explain the gameplay a bit to help new players as a lot of the people playing are mostly here because they are fans of marvel.
Another thing to add to the end. For the ultimate, the trails stack dmg/heals. this can make you/whatever teammates are smart enough to stand in it out heal just abt anything while also making it extremely easy to get kills from ppl trying to stay on point. their ult when used right can be a easy way to win a team fight then mantis for the next one. (but almost every ult is so🤷🏾).
Another note, dagger can heal herself with her primary by hitting a nearby friendly OR enemy. He was able to survive the magic dive without bubble by spamming daggers on her to heal himself as he returned to his team
My honest critique of this video, not you as a player since you’re obviously better than me and most. I don’t think this is the best CnD gameplay to use for a teaching moment. Either that or maybe should have done some voice over of a play by play to explain some of your train of thought and what not. As a low rank player watching, I feel this is pretty already how I play. Maybe this helps DPS Moria players but in all honesty this just looks like you had a good team with you and you were playing normal. I couldn’t really find too much to take from. Not to say there’s not but I’m sure there is a lot more thought going into your game play. Just wish it was more noticeable or talked about.
I use C&D’s ult the same and right after fire that terror cape to discord and I delete back liners while having sustained heals for whole team it’s really strong
@@kayjii What happens if a flanker like Iron Man or Starlord just come and burst you instantly? Those two are the most oppressive DPS characters rn and nigh impossible to deal with if your own DPS don't counteract them.
@@inplane9970 Dagger is one of the few characters that can annoy Ironman due to her daggers homing in on him. If I know he's picked, I keep an eye on the skies. Starlord is usually lower, so I terror flash them and have Cloak deal with him as best I can.
Didn't really get the point of going so far into enemies with first 2 ults in this video. Your team is not following you, you are just locking yourself behind wall of enemies, while wasting your ult. It does very low damage, and you also spread it further minimizing it, so you are not winning any space with that. Meanwhile enemy team is free to push further because nothing is stopping them (your team has no advantage), that's why you get rolled shortly afterwards. It would make sense to stack it a little bit behind where your team was standing so they had advanced healing when enemies pushed, that would win you these fights. That spot at 4:10 was useful though, didn't know that.
I appreciate the feedback. I tend to favor an aggressive playstyle over a defensive one, which is why I push deeper with my ults to create pressure and disrupt the enemy. This approach works well for me, and you’ll see it showcased even better in my next video. Obviously, not everything will go my way all the time. It’s a team game, after all. That said, I’d appreciate it if my gameplay wasn’t nitpicked or backseated. I’m one of the highest ranked cloak and dagger players for a reason, and my playstyle reflects what works for me at that level. If you aren’t confident in your plays, you won’t climb.
@@CS-pg4goI care lol it’s definitely valid criticism looking at the gameplay presented but since the creator expressed his desire to not have it be critiqued then we should just leave it be
Do you mostly play with a group or solo? I don't claim to be the best player in the world but it doesn't seem to matter how well I do I can't "carry" games solo qing as basically a one trick C&D. I was hoping this video was going to give me some big revelation but I already pretty much position the exact same way as you on this specific map. I've been yo-yoing between Gold I and silver III for about 150 games now as a solo Q support.
@@Iceyjxyy I see, thanks for the advice! I had been trying to pick up people in the official discord but no one ever DMs me. Also not many people have ever accepted my friend requests after a game. I would like to follow your advice but for some reason it doesn't seem to work for me.
They don't carry as hard as someone that can crit and get kills, but you can still climb reliably solo. Dagger healslutting in metal ranks is basically a free win because people can't dps. I think the most important things are not dying (or letting your coheal die) to divers and countering ults with ult or cloak, since these are the things that win or lose the fight
question, when do you feel like its the right time to use your healing window? I feel like I don't use it enough and mostly rely on the daggers to heal
nah she does aoe heal so it has to be weak. the wall also gives a incoming healing a boost so in big team fights her healing is pretty good. individual healing is kinda weak though
Is there a reason you do not do damage that much with cloak, is it more important to stay healing with dagger because her healing is more impactful or is it better to switch to cloak when your team doesn't need healing and do some damage as well as abilities like blind and invis

There's plenty of skillful supports. Mantis, Luna Snow, Adam Warlock, Rocket. But OW players are so used to the Bap/Kirikos that can also do massive damage. A GM support won't carry a bronze team by just 1v6ing over and over again like they can in OW
