If you love someone enough the grass shouldn’t be greener on the other side. If it is greener on the other side maybe love isn’t enough and maybe that person doesn’t have enough of what you need to keep you there. There will always be someone better that you meet in life which may be more tempting or exciting but as time goes on even with them everybody tends to get tired of the same old same old. It’s hard to keep love alive but I feel if you really love and respect someone, there are people you will never let go of until you absolutely have to or have no other choice. That is when being independently together comes into play. You have to be able to still be your own person while together. We all have somebody we tend to lean on more than others but everybody needs a hand to hold onto. There is a big difference between love and lust and it is very easy to get the two confused. I believe if you totally and truly love someone you would do anything and everything that you can to keep them. I know a lot of people have been burned in other relationships so it is hard sometimes to decipher what is really going on. Like that song,”Is This Love That I’m feeling” because sometimes it really does have a hold on you and sometimes you may not understand it or want it to happen and won’t let anything happen because of being burned in the past. You may not want to let down your guard for a long time, if ever and when something new happens that’s when the grass is greener theory happens because for one thing you don’t have enough information about it and is it really worth leaving your old life behind. Leaving something you are familiar whether bad or good for something that you have no clue about. If it is bad I’m sure there wouldn’t be any hesitations in what to do. Mine hasn’t ever been bad enough to make a split second decision so I usually stay in my situation until it somehow magically changes. It’s easy to just get comfortable also. That is scary even if your current situation is bad the new situation could be worse. Personally, I’m not much of a gambling person unless I definitely know that the odds are in my favor if I definitely know that it’s not, I rather stay in the same old same old. I do believe that there are people that will stay with their person no matter what and for them, sometimes love IS enough. I guess you really have to know if you care enough for their well being that you would do anything that it takes to take care of them and to be with them. It’s kind of like investing your money you have to be able to do it wisely to get the most out of your return, time and money. If it is just dragging you down you know that you need to make adjustments. Love is confusing, life is confusing. Relationships take a lot of give and take and when it becomes lopsided one is putting in more effort or carrying more of the load there will be resentment and that is when the grass becomes greener and you start having a different perspective about yourself and the situation you are in and start rethinking maybe I would be better off alone because than I don’t have to deal with this anymore and sometimes just the thought of leaving you can sometimes just feel the weight of the load being lifted. I know because I have felt that myself many times and there have been times that I feel like I’m not living in my destination because I really have no idea where my destination is. I am a very feeling person so that is what I go on. If my feeling are very strong and positive about the situation I’m in, I go accordingly and if my feelings aren’t very strong I go according with that also. The latter doesn’t usually make it very far. I do believe that your life is meant to be shared with others so you just have to be able to make good choices for yourself and if others care enough about you they will help you along the way. Like you have said, “you will spare them from being with you,” because evidently you are not a good fit for them. At least you are aware not to let it go any further because you already know that it’s not right but there are people that know what you need and they will help you through whether it is with them or without them, they will still be there.
Forgiveness is just that for-giving…. True forgiveness is not earned, it’s given freely thru love and grace… the real unconditional love ❤️
