INTERVIEW with THE WARNING: About Rock, Pop, Reggaeton and the industry. (Sneak Peek)

- 2022 has undoubtedly been the year of The Warning. The great leap into the mainstream, the records, the video clips, the extensive tours, the press coverage and the big stages. However, beyond the glamor of success, it is also interesting to know how the renewal of the rock and music market is taking place through his experience. After all, they are one of the newest Latin bands with the greatest worldwide projection in the last 5 years.
We probably talked about this with Daniela Villarreal, lead singer of the band, and Alejandra Villarreal, (bassist), on one of their days off while touring the United States presenting their new album “Error”.

Ellas increíbles, hermosas y muy sinceras. Pero el chaval de la entrevista, de 10, que buenas preguntas...
Está claro que The Warning nos gusta mucho porque lo consideramos novedoso y único. Pero las chicas, muy transparentes ellas, nos "escupen en la cara" al decir que SI ESCUCHAMOS K-POP Y ROCK JAPONÉS ya no pensaríamos lo mismo. En general, para mí THE WARNING es una excelente banda de rock. Todavía les faltan 4 discos por crear para su sello musical. Esperemos su evolución. Eso sí, su disco QOTMS es una joya y pienso que deberían remasterizarlo.
Cómo rockero de los 70's, imaginen mi edad, desde que escuché a The Warning, pensé que la Santísima Trinidad del Rock, serían la mejor banda del rock de México, solo dije que superaran a El Silencio de Caifanes, Aztlan de Zoé, Moctezuma de Porter....para mí con Error y lo han hecho! Nunca las he visto because I can not afford prices pero me quedo con sus streams...larga vida a las hermanas Villarreal...y sí como fan pues escucho Rock mundial...y ellas está a una nivel superior!
INCREIBLES . Podría ponerme a escribir y escribir lo que me transmite esta banda a la que conozco apenas desde principios de este año . Alucino con su historia , alucino con su origen.... En fin , a mí me han devuelto la ESPERANZA en el rock and roll .

Sin la menor duda The Warning ,es el mejor grupo de Rock en la historia del Rock en Mexico y muy pronto del mundo ,nadie tiene el volumen de composicion que tiene TW y todos temas excelentes y nadie es tan bueno tacando en vivo

@@omarn1946she has always said that she doesn’t want to speak, and when she does on rare occasions she will grab their arm or something to let them know. Other times she was given no choice, such as when one of her sisters was sick. But she’s growing up and returning to the confidence she had as a young child again but with a decade of professional experience behind her, and her own strong opinions that i think sometimes differ from those of her sisters. Pau and Dany have always shown her immense respect.

No subtitles! So I skimmed it anyway just to see Ale speak. The interview was very relaxed and slow paced (without Pau present!) so Ale was comfortable enough to speak quite a bit. Too bad I have no idea what they were saying.

Yea Pau doesn't let her sisters speak. Even though Dany is an extrovert and loves chatting, she usually gives Ale time to speak but Pau needs to learn that too. Hopefully with time she will
@@Metal4Life666 Actually Ale don´t like interviews, but like when Dany is sick and she take the lead in a few songs, when Pau isn´t in the interview Ale have to speak more to don´t let Dany have all the weight in her. In a short video recently you can see them talking before an interview and saying, you answer all these subject question (I don´t remember), I (Pau) the songs questions and Ale the "How you began" questions, and then you can see Ale´s face :p.
it seemed relaxed because pau wasn't around trying to answer all the questions as if she was the only one there, and as far as the interview itself it wasn't interesting at all, same dumb questions about genres, what is it with these media people in latin america and their obsession with kpop? I know it's THE thing right now but c'mon there's so much more to music than one thing.
@@MrEdwar084 I agree to desagree. You see Pau taking all the attention, I see her protecting her sister because she don"t like interviews. You see and obsession and a boring interview, I see one of the first interviews when they talk about the industry, all the work behind, others genres of music, and not only the common places like other interviews. Also, when a very large percentage of the music sales comes of two genres only in your continent and you have a band that play other kind of music its and obligated question almost, not and obsession. Maybe because the questions are interesting Ale is more relaxed and talkative?

Me pareció muy petulante y engreído el entrevistador, especialmente por continuamente recalcar su discurso de: «nosotros los jóvenes somos mejores que los "rockeros clásicos" porque escuchamos muchos géneros y somos más abiertos». Muy tedioso que a cada rato lo repetía. Y siento que las chicas, que en cierta forma comparten algo de esa idea, igual las fastidió y terminaron dándole por su lado.
Además, en esta y en otras entrevistas he percibido que las han querido comprometer a que reconozcan al Reguetón como un género de calidad y que digan que tienen influencias de eso y que en un futuro tendrán colaboraciones.
Y las chicas, hábilmente, han sabido esquivar eso y dar respuestas muy generales saliéndose por la tangente.
Porque todos sabemos que, si bien puede que las chicas escuchen algo de Reguetón, nunca les ha servido como influencia para su trabajo y nunca lo será, porque ellas, al ser grandes músicos, conocen muy bien la simplicidad y pobreza musical del género urbano.
No todo el genero urbano es simple.
Soy productor de genero urbano y además músico de metal, son mundos diferentes; en general suele ser más simple en la composición pero más complejo en la producción que el rock o el metal.
Yo pienso que el entrevistador quería saber más acerca de qué tanto de ellas era esa idea de ser tradicional, y para obtener respuestas concretas, dio esa introducción.

I consider that classic rock started in the early seventies and was already opposed by punk and new wave in the eighties but persisted because of the affluence of the boomers. Classic rock bands vacuumed up all of the money and then the advent of free music online made it extremely difficult for new bands to make their mark with new music so again classic rock persisted. Now, it has been baked into the musical tastes of generations of listeners. Please excuse my use of a translator.
Close enough. Really depends on your definition of genres. I heard rock on the radio during the 60s and it was good, but all types of music seemed to get much better in the 70s.
No estoy de acuerdo con lo de la "mezcolanza" (fusión pues🙄) de géneros y me explico: Suficientes artistas existen en géneros más populeros, para querer forzar a una banda de rock, a que por querer hacerse más populares, cambien su enfoque o base "estilística", además, la gente que gusta de esos otros géneros, por lo regular NO será fan de dicha banda de rock, ni la apoyaran, ni nada a la larga, pues ellos consumen música como cambiarse de ropa interior o solo dan play a UNA rola que les guste de un disco, de acuerdo a la tendencia del día o el mes🤷♂️😒👍
Lo Malo es que sus discos no tienen una mala cancion, TODAS son buenas y ya varias bandas a novel mundial las han apoyado ASI que Creo que estas equivocado.

Ellas no son tan cerradas como tú. Les gusta desde el K-pop hasta Tchaikovsky pasando por Black Sabbath y Café Tacvba.
El tener gustos tan eclécticos y una mentalidad abierta es una de las razones de su éxito.
