I beat everything on hurt me plenty the first time I played but for TAG 1 I considered changing to I’m too young to die a lot during but for TAG 2 I kept considering changing it to ultra violence
@@sv_sup6661 all you have to do is hammer them perfectly and if you rly need health and there’s no non screamers just go on those bars and swing across till they are chill. once you kill one it’s easy but yes i died at that part enough to notice these things hahah. the dogs are the worst part of it, i’ve never seen them spawn dogs so offen
@@GiggityGoo205 why not challenge yourself and play on ultra-violence always? I beat Doom eternal on nightmare, TAG 1, and TAG 2 on UV though. Whenever you feel something lacks challenge bring it up a notch.
It literally took me 2 tries to beat this dlc on ultra nightmare so yeah it was pretty easy. On the other hand i still cant beat TAG1 on ultra nightmare. Edit: The hammer makes all the difference, with the hammer im sure i could beat TAG1 UN on my next try

Man I really hope they add more spice to these encounters and add something actually unique to the incidental encounters. So much wasted potential in these maps, it all feels underwhelming. May be wishful thinking though.. Escalation encounters are cool, but you can definitely feel that they were holding back everywhere else.
Ofc you don't need any help, but I noticed that in the boss fight you can hit the Dark Lord with a quick SSG-Ballista combo before using the Hammer, maybe you could snuck in there even a third shot but I need to test it further. I imagine it would deal more damage to him as he should be stunned longer that way (I guess the Hammer sets a stun timer and does not just add his stun length to the original stun duration). Also you can put him down one healthbar in just two full combos provided you won't get hit by his sword and shield. Thanks for the video! Edit: 20:27 was such a great combo, probably the highlight of the whole video.
Gonna be honest, I don’t think I’m ever gonna get the golden slayer skin. I’ve tried so many times and I always die on the third mission. And now that this DLC is out, I looked at the Ultra Nightmare skin and it looks even more badass. But it’s another skin that I literally can’t get.
@@TheEvilTacos TAG 2 is easier though, no need to be a prick. Theres no areas where using the BFG feels needed and the dlc constantly feeds you bfg ammo and hammer ammo if you do decide to use it. Only tricky part was the double maruader-screecher zombie platform in the last area.

I've got to imagine Josh is pretty damn good at the game so i'd love to see what the encounter was like before they dialed it back.. i'm just a nightmare guy (hope to be UN one day) and i know how TAG2 feels for me so i totally understand these good players being super bored with it
@@floridaman6774 its kinda hard jist complete all the levels on nightmare so just load into a new save slot put it on nightmare and when your in the game change the difficulty if you need to but before you finish the level change it back to nightmare if you dont get them then play it again with cheats on and you will get it
What kind of mouse do you have? Got a feeling you have multiple keybinds on one :P I feel like I struggle sometimes to use multiple things + movement at the same time, like tossing a nade, shooting and quick swapping while simultaneously controlling movement
mate what is the trick to getting the weapon out so quick? no matter what I do I can’t get the appropriate weapon out in time, you do it like you’re breathing..
I propose a new challenge (un) - you need to go through doom eternal - the main campaign (un) then immediately dcl # 1 and dlc # 2 also (un) in one run go through the entire doom eternal with all dlc, no one did this
I'm glad they made the second DLC easier for people playing on the lower difficulties. I'll admit that I can't deal with Ultra Nightmare, but I can at least run though Nightmare, but people playing on Hurt Me Plenty shouldn't feel like they are playing on Ultra Violence, which the first DLC definitely felt like. That being said, I hope the Ultra Nightmare players that feel a little let down by the difficult of DLC2 get some master level love that clenches their buttholes.
you should have enough time to get 2 shots (SSG+Ballista/Ballista+PB, Ballista+1 Rocket, etcetc) into The Dark Lord before hammering him, taking away 1 extra pip of health compared to using just 1 shot of Ballista before hammer. then using ballista+ssg after hammering him, seemed to do the most DPS. (about 55% of Dark Lord healthbar removed)
And for the mancubus use SUPER SHOTGUN MEET HOOK then BALLIASTA DESTROYER BLADE and if that doesnt do it then 1 more (BLAST FROM THE SUPER SHOTGUN) and that should do it

The whole DLC was pretty easy, I’d say the dark lord fight was more boring/repetitive. Only hard because of how annoying it is.
