Mass Casualty Incident Simulation Training with Pellissippi State Nursing Students

To close out their semester, Pellissippi State's nursing students recently had the opportunity to participate in a "Mass Casualty Incident" simulation event at our Strawberry Plains Campus. Their scenario was a "welding lab explosion," and our welding students got to show off their acting chops as injured participants in need of emergency care.
These simulations equip our nursing students with the skills to be calm under pressure while prioritizing care in a life-or-death situation. Excellent job to all of our nursing faculty, staff and students, and many thanks to our welding students for being such good patients!
