Hey Vanessa, I am happy to know that I'm not the only one promoting the idea of listening to movies and reading the subtitles at the same time. I decided to start doing it in the past year, and I think it has been more than helpful. It has helped me to enhance my listening skills.
Hello, Vanessa. I'm from Peru. I really appreciate your video lessons, the way you teach helped me a lot. My comprenhension skills about reading, writing and listening are better. About these suggestions, well I did them and I feel I'm improving every single day. At least I understood 100% of this video. Thanks for being my teacher. You're my favorite and I love your channel. Blessings for you and your family.
Thank you Vanessa, actually I use this way to improve my English, I have received this advice from my friends, my teachers, and obviously you. I would like to say something, you are a good teacher, i never miss a video that you upload, I follow you since i decided to learn English, this is the goal, i just want to improve, Thank you
Hey dude, Just trying to improve your English isn't a specific, measurable goal. Try to make it more obvious by getting help from your friends and teachers. Good luck.
Vanessa you have an excellent accent. I can understand everything you tell in your videos. I love to listen to them whenever I have time to do that. Thank’s for help us with your videos.
Fantastic tips! I already did these ones. Another good tip is to listen to podcasts or audiobooks on your way to work or to home. If you use a cell phone app, you can also use a function that can speed up or slow down the audio speed. This can help you understand difficult sounds or increase the challenge for easy ones.
I love your videos ... they are always very fun and stimulating. I am Brazilian and I am greatly improving my ability to listen through videos. Thank you very much!!!
You´re a nice teacher. I love to watch your videos because is very interesting for me and i think it´s a fantastic way to improve my listening skills. Thank you very much for everything , for all you teach me and specially for your friendliness.
Thank you for this very useful advice. I alreade use the first and the second advice. The third is new for me but I think it will be very useful. It sounds very logical. Thanks so much!
I have never used subtitles.i try to understand English by listening.and dictation method is quite challenging but very helpful.i m better than before. I m using dictation since watched your video.it's been two weeks. Thnkyou a lot you r best teacher. 👍👌
Hey Vanessa!! Thanks again for this great lesson. Something that recently have helped me to get into the english world a little bit deeper is watching/listening children songs. Currently, my wife and I found that my little daughter is attracted to them; she really enjoys watching vids and likes singing all day long, so in order to teach her the right way of pronouncing sounds, we sing together with her, at the same time we learn. Another thing that personally have helped me to improve my listening skills is listen tons of YT vids, podcasts, lessons (like yours), tutorials, webinars, recordings, etc. The words or expressions that I don't know, I look for them in the dictionary or google them; as I'm a visual person images help me to reinforce the meaning. Hope these ideas help the community. :) Blessings!!
Hi Vanessa, I like your style of teaching English. You are so sympathetic, you take my all attention so I easily understand you. Thank you very much. Perfect lesson.
Hi vanessa, I'm brazilian, and I studied english for 2 years, nowadays, I get understand some videos in english 100%, your videos I really do it, sometimes, i can't understand 100% but I understand the context, I have difficulty to create sentences in correct order, but I'm trying to improve my english, i Hope to be fluent someday, because i really love the english language and i hope you undestood my text. Thanks for the lessons
I really interested in your amazing class. I am from ethiopia, and your pronaunciation is very clear for me and easy to understang, you makes me as a native speaker, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! kept up it,
Me too, if we can understand vanessa , 90%, but not a tv show, or some other stuffs in a native english, is it mean that our english level is less then 50%

Gracias Vanessa yo disfruto tus video y si he aplicado algunas tacnicas que has enseñado y me parecen excelentes, debo aplicar la de los dictados y la de entender el 70% como ves necesito escribir en ingles.
Hi dear master English teacher. My name is Abbas I am from Iran and I love your videos they are amazing. There is something I would love to share it to you and I hope you read it. Ok first you need a computer to do this method. 1. Try to make a tv series to mp3 and you need subtitles in English. 2. Open the subtitle with Notepad and even you can edit the subtitle and to play the mp3 you made from tv show you can use jet audio. There is an option on settings named trimmer, just klick on it and play the mp3 that you've made then you can both listen to mp3 and look up at subtitle and improve your listening skills. I think this way is very important and amazing do not hesitate just do it. Beleive me it worked for me. Thanks.
Excellent tips all of them! Maybe the third one a little boring after a hard day of work but I'm sure it's worthy. I love to watch (listen to) different types of videos or audios and I've noticed that some of them -scientific programs and documentaries for instance- are kind of easy to understand, while TV series and movies are in the middle, with Sports narrators being really hard to be understood... Well, sometimes I don´t get what they say even in Spanish!
Hi teacher Vanessa. what a funny interesting language is the English.!!!! wow!!! but we never stop to tray to keep details. I have been studying English and more six other language since 2014. I always use your tips in all stages. My focus now have been to understand Phrasal verbs, ídioms and linking sounds. You have improved a lot my performance, no matter how much more I still making more mistakes. thanks teacher. Please keep doing your wonderful work. best for you Agostinho
