I honestly don't understand what y'all dislike. She sounds exactly like in studio version, not counting the last chorus. The staging is beautiful, so is her outfit. Yes, she ain't got very much charisma, but the song itself is not for showing many emotions, it's very calm and intimate. This performance doesn't need more imo. Go Blanche, you can do it all!

the staging is terrible. she should stay on the "little island" in front if the stage and the visuals should be the most of the time reduced to a minimum

Totally agree. Looks like she was crying in that white dress whilst singing. Pretty dull and monotonous but that is just my view. If she wins, I won't buy her album: that's for certain! Even if she sings in French, I won't buy it!

I'm not really disappointed in her performance...she does not sound bad....she does sound like her studio version. But I am disappointed in the staging. I was expecting maybe a darker backdrop with a ball of light...and her interacting with that. There is too much going on here for what the song required...but I do think she sounds good. :-)
it's getting there. It is much better than a ball of light. If you pay close attention to the lyrics and the staging there is a definite rhythm. It is starts with metaphoric planet falling apart before the stage.. I think the performance will pull through.
Yes, I will have to see it in its entirety. I try to keep in mind that the rehearsals are for experimentation. I definitely see this qualifying! :-) She sounds happy and optimistic in interviews and she is developing a good level of confidence on stage.

I love the part from 0:11-0:17. Unfortunately, however, that's the highlight of the song for me.
I'm now rooting for her more now than before because I feel bad for her, but if this performance doesn't improve dramatically between now and Tuesday, I agree that it might not qualify for the final. Regardless, it still will likely be in my personal top 10 of that semifinal, just towards the bottom of it instead of the top. Well, maybe not. Let's see how it looks on Tuesday.

Her performance is fine. Not brilliant, but it ought to translate. The problem is that the production designers clearly had no idea what to do with this so she's kind of left twisting up there.

Oh dear .... good song, bad performance.... She is just not experienced enough on stage, you can see her think about the moves she has to make, instead of feeling the song and let her body take control. She should close her eyes, pretend she is in her bedroom singing with a hairbrush in her hands and thinking about a boyfriend. I'm from Belgium, I will cheer for her, but I'm afraid she won't even make it through the half final with her current performance. Come on Blanche! You can do it!

This is the best example of how to kill the best song with bad performance.
The performance touched me! Though this is far from what will go to hear and see on the TV. Just be patient about all the performances. It will be spectacular show and I'm so eager to watch it in whole already!!!

i think that Belgium is scared to win and does not want to host the contest next year. They probably did not expect to be one of the favourite this year and now they are trying to lose.

Blanche has a great voice, but definetly not the best staging. So why her staff did not try to let her have a beautiful background or dancers or something not boring and forgettable? at least the audience could focus on it..

The sing is great but Blance just does not deliver.
