you have an incredible sound, and i can absolutely see you leading a clarinet section in an orchestra. ulike so many clarinetist, you no how to use your lungs. i really hope to hear of you in a prestigious orchestra one day. you deserve it.
I really hate when “teachers” try to teach without modeling (ie playing). I never fully understood why they don’t just play. It seems they’re just being lazy. It’s also frustrating because it feels like you’re trying to learn how to swim from them on dry land. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Man, there are so many things I don't agree with here. Basically Drucker is telling him to rush in some places and not rush in other places. Dude sounds great though.
Andrew we play a like. Your sound is really good .the military is a good way to get those top jobs and I disagree with the master your technique was right on you need to try uncle Ds Navy band or marine to get the spots principal chairs as well LISTEN to other players both amateur and professional The American symphony Principal Clarinetist RASPODY IN BLUE 4TH OF July was the best I have felt in smooth technique and playing AND NOT SHOWING OFF the others in his section were jealous I felt sorry for him .you will know you've arrived as a musician when you enjoy listening to others play without being jealous or you realize playing Mozart 2nd movement is the most perfect part of the clarinet concerto because of the simple yet beautiful way it's written as well the longing whole notes of Copelands concerto high long and beautiful😚
Andy has a great job - this was when he was quite a bit younger than now. Plays all the time and is a Clarinet Professor at UNCG. I recommend students study there all the time. He's great!!!
Andrew is a good player but he just doesn't listen to Drucker. Drucker should have just stopped and called Andrew out on it. How can you be a musician if you don't listen?
+saxefoner I don't think he is ignoring him. Drucker is giving a lot of different requests at the same time and it's really hard to change the way of playing on the spot. Behind andrew's playing there are hours of practicing that can not be changed in just 10 seconds.

A great pleasure listening to you.

vacuumlover1 You leave your first finger down and take your thumb off the F and register key. It’s like playing first finger f# but overtoned to a C#.

+saxefoner
I mean, Andrew ignores Drucker's suggestions and keeps playing it the same way as he did the first time.
