The combination of a slow paced level with such a speedy music really manages to pass the sensation that you literally have no time to buy so you must run. Pure adrenaline.
It's not a slow level, it's very hectic, the fact that you aren't running doesn't mean it is slow, in the act 2 you can run but the act is very tense and slow paced and full of platforming
I was 11 years old and I remembered tryharding for the last chaos emerald on this last act of this level bc this song kinda gave me final boss and true final boss vibes. 😎🎧🎶😈
Composed by Hideaki Kobayashi, and (maybe) arranged by Tomoya Ohtani. Remember that drum pattern of Twinkle Snow act 3 at the beginning, along with the Sonic Colors-styled arpeggios of that one? Well - that drum pattern is quite the same as this one at 0:43. The arranger is speculation.
Similarly, the Sonic Advance 3 staff roll theme uses a very similar drum pattern to the Staff Roll of Sonic Battle, which I didn’t notice til a bit ago, the other 2 notable examples of Battle music in Advance 3 would be Altar Emerald and Nonaggression
this song would be extremely and extraordinarily good in the forces style. wish i had to resources necessary to make such a remix. edit: guys, guess what i finally got around to making? idk when i'll upload it tho.
i love the grunginess of this theme. it gives off a corrupted kind of vibe that i just think gets brushed off in other remixes. the melody and counter melody gets drowned out by the hard gritty backgrounds, reversing the piece, making the quick staccato touches muted. It gives me the vibe of the level, boulders falling while youre on a autoscrolling platform, hampering sonic and preventing him from progressing and instead going at the levels place. truly corrupted
and i do genuinely think that whrn people remix this act, the grunginess gets brushed off. its meant to be a reverse of the piece, and yet when i hear remixes of this act it seems to similar to act 1 ij my opinion
To me, this song sounds like something is getting slammed on and dragged across a wall with metal scratching blaring over the whole scene, I think that means they nailed the CHAOS in Chaos Angel.
@@andygiraldo7898 Strongly disagree as the level design makes up for the music. Besides, an area like this should have an fast pace and slow pase tune when spending down the level.
It’s so intense so think of it this way. Eggman is getting closer and closer with every second that passes. And when that clock reaches 9:59, *game over*. He was able to create seven worlds and fill them with enemies and challenges and more like this, imagine what he can do with the power of the master emerald. He purposely put a slow moving platform so that he could get more time and prevent Sonic from reaching him in time to stop him from harnessing the near infinite power the Master Emerald possesses. You literally have no time to buy so you need to run as fast as you can. But even then, as fast as you can might not be good enough… @@andygiraldo7898

But you don't really run in this Act, just stand on a moving platform most of the time...
They should of done this music for my opinion on act 2. Then the switch would have made sence
@@Goofy_Egg_Mageand act 2 is slow paced which goes with the level. Tbh they should hav3 switched the levels.
@@dayzlove4994my personal theory is that this was intended for act 2 but got switched up somewhere in production and never got fixed
Nah OP is right. A tense song for a stage in which you're reactive most of the time. It's a gauntlet. It's survival. It's eprfect.
And talk about fast paced music! The level may be slow, but the music makes it all the better
It makes this act so stressful!
What a juxtaposition, it's intense music while you ride a slow moving platform

The music better be a banger when you have to repeatedly play it to farm those damn special keys.
The hardest level of the game for the last act, seems right to me.
