WTF i thought the Nebraska version was brill but this is quality! Nice to hear Nils in the background there, might try to remaster this because it's sublime top upload :D
in houston back in februrary I saw him and this song (along with most of the the others) was great with the croud and just the power from the stage was amazing
listen to the lyrics and enjoy !! this about the real SOPRANNOS !! the new jersey mob !! bruce puts it all into perspective a real modern day poet !! RIP BIG MAN !!
I pray to God he releases Electric Nebraska one day, but if he does I wouldn't get too high expectations of it. Of the songs we've heard him play with the whole band live, Atlantic City is the only one that really works in an electric version IMO.
Are you kidding? I agree Nebraska and My Father's House are fine as they are but when he plays Johnny 99 with the whole band it's INCREDIBLE! And the Live in Dublin DVD he does an (almost) full band version of Open All Night which is awesome. Or if you look at Living on the Edge of the World it's electric Open All Night and I prefer that one
No I'm not kidding. I'm not saying Electric Nebraska isn't good, it's just not going to be near as great as the original. I have confidence in Bruce that he made the the right choice to release the (mostly) acoustic solo versions. As for the songs you mentioned, I easily prefer the acoustic version of Johnny 99 to the full band versions. Again that's just my opinion. I'll give you that Open All Night/Living on the Edge of the World works equally well with or without the band.
Does anybody know where I can get this concert on DVD? I know there isn't an officially released one, but if someone can send me a copy I'd be eternally grateful.
probably cause in philly they could understand the context of the song without the disclaimer. i'm sure people in philly had heard of the chicken man for instance.
Max à la batterie et époustouflant c'est un plaisir à entendre et à regarder
Bruce is flat out the best.

As much as I love the acoustic recording of this song, the drums and electric guitar suit this song excellently as well. That's musicianship.

Nils 's brought a lot to this band...No offence, but I prefer his voice to Steve's.
Awesome. Pretty much sounds the same now as it did then :)
@PM531: Ah, for some reason when I commented I thought Nebraska came before BITUSA.
Looks Like He Did Go To Paris And They Know Every Word.
