51 here? Still belting it out. As do so many singers, but close your eyes and he sounds no different at all from his early days. Never had singing lessons, it's all just what he was born with. Astonishing. . he's timeless, pure gold timeless. Mch'24. UK. E❤

Hey Brandon. Can you put up the best live versions of In Days to Come, Pressure Fown and The Banners Fall for the world to see without a reactor. Thanks Deb 🎉

There is a live show, non reaction, vid of See the Banners Fall, possibly more than one, but I always have to search for it - it never shows up when I scroll through the various mix lists. Same thing with All our Sons and Daughters. The Banners live version I watch is the one where towards the end of the song someone hurls what looks like a package to John and he catches it, looks briefly surprised then goes to carefully place it at the side of the set - so respectful of his fans, love him for that. And oh yes, he just carried on singing as though nothing had happened.. That person's aim was deadly accurate - could have missed, could have hit him in the mouth, (that wouldn't have been good), but straight at chest height so he could catch it. Astonishing. Best wishes to all Farnsey fans. Mch'24. UK. E ♥️

@@EileenSpeakman Hi E Yes I think that's the Chain Reaction concert in the black pants and shirt with a white pattern. Yes that catch was great. John is the G.O.A.T and I love him to bits ❤️ He is a beautiful man with a beautiful spirit with a vocal performance that is unmatched. Australia 🇦🇺 🪃 will have to have him and his music somehow enshrined so it is safe for all future generations 😀 🥰🤩

@@AussieDebb Hi, hope you and yours are all well. I searched out Banners earlier today. Yes, Chain Reaction concert. Black outfit, white trim on shirt. (the upside of watching videos and dvds, the visual is imprinted on the mind, and we can "see" the performance in our heads) . Potted history - children '80 and' 83. Busy busy so paid little attention to 80s music. Caught part of You're the Voice on the radio around 2010, loved it, it was electrifying - didn't know who sang it, heard it again last year, got the title, googled it - start of awe and admiration and love for everything Farnsey. There isn't one song I don't like. And I've been googling those amazing band members and backing singers and learning so much about them and their own music careers. Everytime I think I've seen all the youtube vids of anything Farnsey some lovely person uploads something new - a performance or an interview. I've had one of the best 12 months of my life. Yes, permanent recognition and preservation for John - is there such a thing as a (honorary?) knighthood for services to music? Actually I think it should be services to mental health - it's impossible to feel down when you watch him. I had my 80th birthday 3 wks ago, children are settled with partners, and it's time for me - enjoying Farnsey has made me feel about 60 years younger! . And all of this possible because of youtube. Isn't life wonderful! Mch'24. UK. E ❤️

@user-iq3mp5zo8z Hi there Eileen I'm well thank you. 😊 I can't go a day without listening to John. He warms my soul and just makes me feel so.much better if I'm a bit down or having a stressful day. I am 63 and still working as a conveyancing paralegal so it does get a bit stressful. I work from home in country Queensland where I moved for a tree change a few years ago. My children all grew up with Farnsey blaring out in the 80s and I've seen him live once which was absolutely fantastic. I'm thankful for UA-cam too 🙏 💓 as I've been really revisiting John and Jimmy Barnes and other Aussie legends. I'm learning so much more about John in particular. It's like reconnecting with old friend with him. 😍 Great chatting with you. Love Deb ❤️
