Hey everyone please check out this video which proves what this video talked about and it ONLY has official quotes from LDS sources ua-cam.com/video/7Ox_Dasyh9Y/v-deo.html I’d encourage everyone to check out this discussion with a Latter Day Saint on God that I had on my channel. Link ua-cam.com/users/livelhypXvfH7OY?feature=share This truly demonstrates what official LDS doctrines are compared to their books and the Bible. It will be eye opening for those who care about truth.
Hey they don't agree that Jesus had a beginning even as a spirit child. They have this eternal intelligence theology... it's hard to get them to admit their beliefs.
And Jesus was a man just like me and you. Though his spirit was Jehova. This guy did not show the parts of the interview where he was schooled in doctrine.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as such I am always searching for further light and knowledge. I love looking further into the scriptures so thank you for 4 more topics to do a deep dive into! Also thank you for your kind compassionate respectful approach you will get a lot more LDS people listening with that approach! 🙏
I am also privileged to have the ears of some Mormon missionaries. Thank you very much for these additional tips. Frankly, I think that the Lord has blasted open a window of opportunity at this moment in time.
As a Latter Day Saint, I appreciate your Christ like tone and your desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know we have different understandings of specific doctrines than you but I know that Jesus is our savior, that He paid for our sins, and that He loves each of us. Thank you for your kind effort to teach what you believe. We need more followers of Christ in this world even if we end up with different understandings of Bible verses, etc.
how can my Saviour be God in flesh Jesus, and your God was once a man and through spirit sex he produced Jesus and Lucifer. We can not or do have the same God/Jesus????

The Bible says Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The Book of Mormon says that Jesus was born in Jerusalem. Do you believe the Bible, or the BoM? @@loudogg73
That’s nice... however to be clearer, Jesus expounded on what it takes to become “born again” in verse 5. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Christ said in order to be born again one must be “born of water” which of course means water baptism... and also one must be “born of the Spirit” in other words, have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This wannabe preacher will not go this far in the scriptures because he does not believe in works of any kind being necessary, including water baptism. Or to put it another way, this preacher does not believe in the Bible.
@@vcspoerl7453 how sad to think God incarnate got it wrong when he was hanging on the cross in Luke 23:43. Dont be legalistic friend. Know that it is by grace A-L-O-N-E you are saved not of works so that no man can boast. Works (even baptism) are a form of obedience that are the fruit of your salvation if you are a true believer. With love.
Did you also fail to see the part where water baptism is a requirement for salvation together with an active faith full of good works??? You have also confused a strict obedience to God’s Laws with being legalistic. Legalism is the dogmatic adherence to the “Letter of the Law” instead of the “Spirit of the Law” The irony is that you are the one being legalistic by only applying a literal narrow interpretation to the parts of the gospel that you think allows you to put forward no effort on your part, yet you completely ignore or denounce both the clear literal interpretation or even the metaphorical interpretation of the parts of the gospel that says anything about works (either good or bad) In fact, in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount he never put aside the laws that were given them... He merely expanded and expounded on them. In a way, Christ taught that His Way was exponentially harder, that unless a man was willing to lift up his cross daily and follow Him, they would not be worthy to follow after Him. It is impossible for a person to be saved by a ”Dead Faith” the modern day Faith Alone movement is based on the doctrines of Satan. You say water baptism is not a necessity for salvation, yet Christ stated it was. Guess who I am going to believe?
Oh, and by the way Chris Wall... Luke 23:43 says nothing about anyone being saved. In fact, it clearly states the exact opposite, that both Christ and the thief went to hell. This is what happens when you listen to Bible illiterate preachers like the one who made this video.
Mormon friends who know I am a Bible believing Christian, will often forcefully tell me “We’re Christians TOO!” Rather than spewing a bunch of reasons as to where they’re wrong, I try to open a dialog. I ask them, “Do you then consider me a Mormon?” And why not. I also ask them, what gives them assurance of faith and life in Heaven, who cannot be forgiven, how can they know without doubt they’ve done enough to attain salvation? Rather than me holding up remonstrances to their beliefs, I like to ask questions that will make them honestly question what they truly believe. Three small, short books that are a great help in quantifying your own beliefs as a follower of Jesus are the Paul Little series, “Know Who You Believe”, “Know What You Believe”, “Know Why You Believe”.
Your claim to be Christian out of arrogants, and you so called "Bible believing Christians" don't even know the Bible beyond a few verses and you're very wrong about a lot of your Doctrine.
Your using a logical fallacy to “gotcha”. There are a lot of Christian’s from a lot of different religious groups. Are Catholics Christian? Are Protestants Christian? Are evangelicals Christian? If yes and you are a Christian then you are saying you are all of those religions. Or you follow one particular Christian faith out of many. Unless you state your LDS I assume your not, but I am confident that you are a Christian. Just the same you can assume I am LDS and that I am a Christian. As for the how we are saved. LDS believe that we are saved by the grace that is in Christ. Even the works, which can be partly attributed to Galatians 5 isn’t what will save. You do realize that LDS do study the Bible and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. In other words, the Book of Mormon would be useless if it didn’t act as a witness of Gods grace, through His only begotten Son. Also to believe the Bible which show the grace of God in all of its chapters. I know Christ is my savior and he performed the atonement for me, a sinner, who could never begin to show (through my works) the gratitude I have for what He has done for me. I know in whom I I put my trust, and I know that He is mighty to save. He is from beginning of days. He is eternal, alpha and omega. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Who parted the Red Sea and showed his wonders to Egypt to free His people. He continues to free those who will make covenants with him, and take upon them the name of Christ. It doesn’t matter to me if you don’t think I’m a Christian, atheists doubt as well, but I know I’m a Christian. My confidence is in the Jesus Christ of the Bible. On another note, I’ll check out the books you recommended. Sounds like an interesting read.
The Chinese have written history and they recorded the birth and the sights in the heavens, the death 3 hours of darkness, and the resurrection of Christ to the day. Tell me how did they know that there was a man born on earth from heaven to die to redeem all men from there sins and take his life back up again? ....... I know how.
@@chrisblanc663 If the BOM is “another testament of Jesus”, why is there No historical nor archeological proof for its validity beyond being a story? Why would God provide so much historical and archeological evidence for the Bible and none for the BOM?!
@@karenschmidt965 that’s your burden to prove why God would not communicate with others, but would with those in the Bible. As for me, since nothing in the BOM contradicts the Bible, and in fact testifies of Christ, I don’t see any reason not to read it. I’ve read peoples incorrect interpretations about how the BOM contradicts the Bible, but they are always misapplying the scriptures. For example, people say that the BOM claims God raped marry. But it’s as quiet about the conception method as the Bible is. So if the BOM claims God rapes a woman, then you have to believe the Bible makes the same claim. I don’t pretend to know how a God would get a woman pregnant, and chalk it up to “miracle” All we know is that Mary conceived a child as a virgin. Both testify of that fact, and nothing more. Again I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe the Bible to be the word of God, and the BOM to be another testament of Jesus Christ, and they show how God loves all of His creations. Can you explain to me why you would consider someone who believes in the literal same historical person Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, God of the universe, and follows the teachings found in the same New Testament is somehow NOT following the same historical person as others who follow that person? I understand if you say I follow Him incorrectly. I understand if you say I understand Jesus differently then you do. But to straight up say, “no, you are following a different person” when I read the same Gospel, (which as you mentioned, is riddled with historical proof) as you is just bizarre to me. It’s like saying Joe Biden isn’t my president, just because you and I may disagree with each other about his foreign policy. (I’m assuming your American). Or the Mark Antony I read about from Plutarch is a different one that you read from Plutarch, just because I also read a Shakespeare play where the character makes an appearance. (Notice I’m giving you an edge here since Shakespeare’s account is fiction, and you assume the BOM is fiction) yet we would still know about the factual Mark Antoni just the same. I believe there was a literal Jesus who taught His gospel in the holy land, just the same as we read in the gospels. I happen to also believe he taught remnants of Abraham’s posterity the same gospel. You can think of that as Shakespeares’ (not to call Smith a great author) Mark Antoni.
Hey! I’ve served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I always appreciate new insight. However, I don’t feel these platforms are beneficial or good. I don’t think it’s within Christ’s doctrine and teachings to tear down other followers. We may have our differences, but much of the content in this video is incorrect. I’d be more than happy to share more about all of these questions to highlight what we believe as members of Christ’s restored church. I know that it’s the church He guides and directs today. Here is the problem we have with an in-law who is LDS. She married a Mormon, and knows next to nothing about what the Mormon church believes. When we bring up scripture to refute Mormon teachings, she completely shuts down, says she doesn’t want to know because we will never get her to change her mind. It’s really sad.
The most important aspect of grace is that it is ever encompassing. It surrounds us and provides mercy, love, enabling, and goodness in our lives. May we all seek to live by upright values to maintain the goodness that Jesus sends to this earth.
This is very good. As an ex-Mormon who was very devout in the fundamental teachings of "the Gospel" as "restored" by Joseph Smith, I just want to add that the LDS often use the confusion that is placed upon them to their advantage. So, it's important to remember that the LDS are gaslight and brainwashed to believe they don't need to seek Jesus, GOd or the turth because they already have it- in fact, in their beliefs they believe that Christianity is corrupt and the Bible changed and can't be trusted and therefore you need a modern day prophet to guide us in these latter days. However, they will tell you that they believe in the Bible but they just also believe in more, and why would you settle for "just Jesus" when you can have a "fullness", etc. It gets very confusing because the LDS are taught to sound Christian and act Christian and say things to outsiders (including new Mormons or less faithful Mormons- anyone who hasn't received the greater light and knowledge) and will say they believe in the same things, etc when they know full well they believe something different. You may also get different answers from different Mormons. That's because of a Masonic belief of levels of knowledge and believe that most aren't ready to receive the fullness and so it's dumbed down or simplified. But as you progress to greater light and knowledge who will learn the full truth- and suddenly if you make it far enough, all of those weird cultish beliefs are given and the Christian stuff is minimized or done away with. They think basic Christianity is like kindergarden level. It gets very confusing and even many LDS born and raised in it will not always get so far in light and knowledge and the "mysteries" of the Gospel. Joseph Smith did this, at the lowest level they didn't practice polygamy and were kept from knowing about it (among other things), then there were different levels including the School of the Prophets. Then all LDS were eventually taught more of this mysteries, but I noticed in the late 90's a shift away from it, wanting to keep it all sacred and not revealing everything to every member (although it is all there for those who look or are chosen). I'm speaking by experience. Mormons are inwardly offended by the cross and by Christians saying that they follow a different Jesus. They are taught this affirms that the LDS church is true because of this opposition. The best thing to do is to ask them to describe Jesus, and you may need to probe because they are taught to use the same words as Christians and try to be basic and sound Christian- if you know how to probe you can get to the heart of it. Or I like to just say I understand that this bothers them, but that using the name of Jesus doesn't make you Christian or a follower: Jesus said people would do many good works in His name but Jesus will tell them he never knew them and will tell them to go away from Him. The important thing is to know Jesus, not just use his name. To know Jesus for yourself and not in a religious sense but personally. I then tell them that someone might tell me they know my mother and even use her name correctly but as they describe her more and her personality, etc., if they say some things are very different than how I know my mother (even if they get some of it right), I will not believe that they talking about my mother, Susan, and that they are talking about a different Susan. And then I will tell them about the Jesus I know, and then read to them the Prodigal son from the Bible. And say something like, See Jesus will see me as a sinner afar off and run to me with open arms, while I am dirty and unworthy. My Jesus is my father, and will wash me clean, etc. I'll also read in the Bible, "while you were yet sinners, Christ died for you". You see Jesus came into this sinful world and runs to us and comes to us even when we are so dirty and can't clean ourselves, even though we know and feel unworthy- and He sanctifies us, He cleanses us, He loves us and He works in us, etc. But your Jesus does none of those things- what you describe is the complete opposite of Jesus even though you use His name. You strive all of your life to become worthy and hope one day that you will be good enough to meet Jesus in the "next life" and hope that Jesus will see your good works and glorify you, that you have become perfect enough and can become "one of us" to progress to become a god and be able to create your own worlds, etc. This sounds like the kind of Jesus that Jesus said I never knew you when presented with their good works and like what Lucifer tempted Adam and Even with that brought sin into the world. This idea that you can become as good as good if you attain greater light and knowledge which Lucifer said he had. And your Jesus needs you to become perfect before He will reveal himself to you. This is a very different Jesus than the one that I know who has given me peace beyond understanding, whose burdens are light- while you are burdened with trying to do an impossible task of becoming perfect so you can be worthy of His presence. But Jesus didn't wait for the world to be worthy, He came down while we are all sinners. He runs to us while we are dirty and ashamed, and embraces us with His Love. Anyway, I am sorry I didn't realize this has become a sermon. I think you get the point though. And the LDS church has so many people full-time working on marketing, PR and subliminal messaging even for their own members to keep them in and to unknowingly deceive many others. They are also constantly changing their tactics and this can get very confusing. But the LDS are trained to tune out Christians while expecting Christians to accept them. The reason for this is simply because if you will accept them then they can convert more people who are currently Christians. So many pastors who see this just want to protect their flocks.
This was so helpful to me! May Our Lord Yeshua HaMasiach bless you today !!! I am meeting with some Mormon ladies today and praying and asking for wisdom with my words. Holy Spirit help me ❤️ thanks again!!
Several things you said really resonate with me, because of my experience when I was Mormon (from when I was 1 until I was 13 when I left and joined the Catholic Church). What you said about Mormon's being taught to sound Christian to outsiders and less-faithful Mormons is exactly how it was for me, but when it came down to what is the truth, they could never sell me on their brand of truth. I think offended is an interesting way to describe the way Mormon's feel toward the Cross, because for me growing up, I never saw a cross or crucifix, and not only that, but when someone at school was wearing a crucifix, I was told it was disgusting, inappropriate, and something sad that shouldn't be glorified and remembered. But now that I'm Catholic, I see the price Jesus paid to save the souls of every sinful person on earth - not just those who have a different understanding of things - but every single person on earth

I always tripped out how Galatians says, "But even if we OR AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN, preach any other gospel let him be accursed". Not in hate for us of course but the language insists understand they are still lost and under a false teaching, not to be listened to. But how amazing since the entire false teachings of LDS are based upon delivery via AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN
Well, maybe stop smoking Crack and try reading the elite epistle Paul wrote to the Galatians for a change instead of recycling the same ones that get repeated over and over again that we lds have already addressed.
Please share exactly and without need for interpretation, opinion, inference or extrapolation that this verse applies specifically to the LDS church. I hear it over and over but no where do I see that it directly applies to the LDS church. Again, when expounding, it needs to be crystal clear this applies to the LDS church.
@@rugby4lifenone615 it doesn't refer to the LDS church at all, Paul was mad at Peter. He even reveals it in Galatians chapter 2:7 "7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;" and he later says "11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. @@rugby4lifenone615because the Book of Mormon preaches a different gospel to that of the bible, it’s not that difficult to understand when you compare how radically different the Jesus in Mormonism is to the Jesus of the bible.
Hebrews 9:27 is hardly definitively undermining what we believe. It’s basically taking out of context what was said in that passage. 1 Peter 3 talks about Christ preaching to the spirits in prison after his death. Well where was that place? What prison? And then the following chapter 4 Peter talks about preaching the gospel to the spirits that have lived and died. If you are immediately judged after death what’s the point of preaching to the gospel if you’ve already been judged at that point? I don’t see why it’s offensive to some evangelicals to conceive of a God who creates so much grace that he’s going to create a heaven with degrees so that those you are most willing to live the most aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ would feel the most comfortable closest to his presence and that those who are unwilling to live that lifestyle would receive a lesser degree where they would feel the most comfortable not held to a standard that they’re unwilling to live up to but still enjoying the love of God to the degree to which they are capable. Why does that bother people? If you want to preach Grace, and we should, then his grace being expressed after death should not be shocking to any Christian
*"I don’t see why it’s offensive to some evangelicals to conceive of a God who creates so much grace that he’s going to create a heaven with degrees so that those you are most willing to live the most aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ would feel the most comfortable closest to his presence and that those who are unwilling to live that lifestyle would receive a lesser degree where they would feel the most comfortable not held to a standard that they’re unwilling to live up to but still enjoying the love of God to the degree to which they are capable. Why does that bother people?"* Because that's not anywhere in the scripture in the Bible, and instead the scriptures, both Jesus and the Apostles, spoke of the complete opposite to this. As Christians, we do not just believe what we think sounds the nicest. We believe the truth of God's word, and we stick to the truth of God's word and judge all things against the truth of Gods word. It's as simple as that. You either believe and you're saved, or you don't believe and you are condemned already. (John 3:18) You are not saved by works, but by grace through faith. If you don't "live up to" the "lifestyle", it doesn't mean you're not saved. You are entirely justified by the blood of Christ. If you have the Holy Spirit, you will have a relationship with Christ one way or another while you walk this Earth, some are better servants than others. Some receive better rewards than others. Yet all who believe are saved, so we can rest assured we have eternal life, you cannot work your way into heaven or any "heaven". Be at peace in you faith and trust in Christ, it is his righteousness, the righteousness of God that saves you, not your own righteousness. This is what you do not understand nor believe. You cannot make it to heaven if you trust in your own works to save you, period. You have fallen from grace. You see, that is the grace of God. You talk about grace like you believe in a greater grace. But you don't. You believe in grace based on the merit of your own works. Whereas as Christians, we believe all who truly believe and receive the holy spirit, are saved with all the riches and glory God bestows on us in heaven, as a free gift. That is the true grace of God! What you say, completely contradicts Jesus and the entirety of the Bible. *"If you are immediately judged after death what’s the point of preaching to the gospel if you’ve already been judged at that point?"* You are actually judged on the day of judgement. The grave is essentially a holding place, until that day comes. Notice, it doesn't say he went to preach to all spirits in prison. Only to those before the flood, which was thousands of years ago. It is possible that God deemed these people worthy of the chance to hear the gospel plainly, given the time period and situation they were in, for whatever reason. Therefore God gave them the chance to hear plainly the gospel once and for all, before the day of judgement. That has nothing to do with the day of judgement. On that day, all will be resurrected, those who believe into eternal life. Those who don't believe, into eternal judgement.
@@i-Empire07 you must do all the ordinances etc of what you believe to be the "restored" gospel in order to be in the presence of God in heaven. That means you believe in your works to make it there. The scriptures in the Bible tell us the complete opposite. That by grace through faith in the gospel of the Bible, not works, we are saved. And *all* who are saved, will live in the presence of God in heaven for eternity. There is no distinction. You are either saved entirely by grace through faith, not works, and are given eternal life in the presence of God, or, you do not trust in the gospel of the Bible by faith alone, and you are separated from God forever into the outer darkness (lake of fire). *This* is what Jesus and the apostles tell us very plainly, very clearly, in the Bible. What you believe is works based in order to live in the presence of God. There are only two paths, two types of people saved or unsaved. The saved, live in the presence of God forever, the unsaved, eternal damnation away from the presence of God, in the outer darkness.
I'm not Mormon but I don't think that Mormons can't answer those questions but rather, they will answer them in a way that they believe it to be true. As a Christian I believe you are 100% correct but honestly, I sometimes question faith. I question faith because there are so many good people in the world and some of these people practice so many different forms of faith that I find it hard to beleive that if they are not Christian and they believe in a different God that they are not going to Heaven. If people are born into let's say the Muslim faith, this is the faith they know so how can they be punished for that? I don't know, just things that I have thought about from time to time.
Great question! That doesn’t sound like a loving, merciful god. And that’s because that isn’t how it is. God is merciful and loving, he loves the “world” (which seems pretty inclusive) and so gave his only begotten son. Those born in situations to never hear of Jesus Christ surely cannot be damned because of it. I think you’ll find that the beliefs and doctrines of the LDS church, and the expressions of the love of God and the infinite nature of Christ’s atonement found therein are more inclusive, expansive and sound than the limitations some Christian beliefs seem to put on God.
This is where the three degrees of glory come into play. With all the many people who fall in between Heaven and hell would it not make sense that a loving Father would build a home for everyone? That is why there are three degrees of glory in heaven. The telestial, terrestrial and the celestial. It is mentioned in, I think Mathew where he talks about the stars, the moon and the sun. But it kind of feels incomplete as if something more was said about it but not put in there. We could say stars/telestial glory, moon/terrestrial glory and sun/celestial glory. There will be those who go to hell but the rest will find their place in heaven for sure but you will go where you are most comfortable being. I fully believe it is the grace of God through the atonement that we will get into heaven but mainstream Christians believe you don't have to work to get there you are just plain saved by grace. Well, if you fall down into a big hole and someone lowers a ladder down to you you will have to put forth the effort to climb that ladder. It is effort/work to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Think about the ten commandments. Some of those can take real effort and for some, down right hard work to follow them so when people say you can't earn your way to heaven, well that just isn't correct. We are saved by grace after we have done all that we can do. Thanks for leaving a positive/intelligent comment.
daveisgreat, well, a Muslim would be fine if he never sinned. The issue is that no person, regardless of background, can keep God's moral law ( the 10 Commandments is His standard of goodness). So Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddists, atheists, agnostics... everybody needs a Savior. The Bible demonstrates that no one is righteous, no one is good, and God shows no partiality. God punishes people for sin, which is lawlessness .Anyone can be forgiven of their sins regardless of their religious background,, if they confess sin, repent and trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior. John 3:16 says " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". This is an open invitation to everyone, Dave. God invites everyone, but He sets His own terms, since He made the ultimate sacrifice, His Son, Jesus Christ died on the cross to take our place. Jesus is without sin. Read the Bible. The books of John and Romans are a good place to start.
@@sharonabbott9588 So I can sin and repent but, because I’m Christian I will be just fine whereas people of other faiths that sin and repent to the God they believe in are not fine? @@jamesmccluskey391 You can cherry pick all you want, it doesn't change the fact that mormonism is a cultic gospel that differs from the original. The Bible clearly declares to reject all gospels that change from the original.
@@OwenMLDS Exactly! One that changes who He says He is, just to name one amongst many changes. Remember it doesn't matter what I think, what you think, or what some well intentioned church committee thinks. It ONLY matters what YHWH'S Word says without going beyond the words themselves. Galatians 1:8 - _"But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed."_ 1 Corinthians 4:6 _"I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us _*_not to go beyond what is written,_*_ that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another."_
Just one more tidbit regarding meaning in the Bible. Colossians 1:16 was quoted to support the belief that Jesus created everything. "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" "Everything" in the Bible does not always mean every single solitary thing. Jason David BeDuhn states: All is commonly used in Greek as a hyperbole, that is, an exaggeration. The other is assumed. In one case, Paul takes the trouble to make this perfectly clear. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul catches himself saying that God will make all things subject to Christ. He stops and clarifies that of course when he says all things he doesn't mean that God himself will be subject to Christ, but all other things will be, with Christ himself subject to God. There can be no legitimate objection to other in Colossians 1 because here, too, Paul clearly does not mean to include God or Christ in his phrase all things, when God is implied in the subject, and Christ the explicit agent, of the act of creation of these all things. But since Paul uses all things appositively (that is, interchangeably) with creation, we must still reckon with Christs place as the first-born of creation, and so the first-born of all things. Similar uses of all in expressions of hyperbole are not hard to find. In Luke 21:29, Jesus speaks of the fig-tree and all the trees. The fig-tree is obviously a tree, and the ancients knew it has a tree. The phrase actually means the fig-tree and all other trees, just as the NW, NAB, and TEV have it (the LB similarly: the fig-tree, or any other tree).... Another example cant be seen in Luke 11:42 where Jesus speaks of Pharisees tithing mint and rue and every herb. Since mint and rue are both herbs, and were thought to be so by the cultures from which the Bible comes, the phrase every herb must mean every other herb (NW) or all the other herbs (TEV) or all other kinds of ....herb (NIV) Jason David DeBuhn, Truth in Translation: Accuracy and Bias in English Translations of the New Testament (Latham: University Press of America, 2003), 84-85 Taking "everything" as 100% literal would result in Satan being reconciled to Christ per Colossians 1:20. "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." I hope this helps...
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth." And... "All things were made through him, and *without him was not any thing made that was made."* (John 1:3) Hopefully that's clear enough. You can't claim hyperbole in *every* verse you read.

I hate to disagree with you, my brother, but after operating a Christian outreach ministry to Mormons for almost 48 years, I can tell you that appealing to the Bible to refute Mormonism is of little effect with the devout Mormon. This because of the Eighth Article of Faith. This is where the Mormon will stubbornly believe that anything in the Bible that contradicts Mormonism is mistranslated. In fact, Mormon Apostle James Talmage wrote, "...who, in his right mind could for one moment suppose the Bible in its present form to be a perfect guide? Who knows that even one verse of the Bible has escaped pollution." (Divine Authority of the Book of Mormon, p. 47) Joseph Smith himself said, "Many insertions were made, some of them 'slanted' for selfish purposes, while at times deliberate falsifications and fabrications were perpetrated" (As Translated Correctly, p. 4). A better way to witness might be to show them the shifting sand on which the two pillars of their faith (Joseph Smith as a prophet and his First Vision) are built. Show them Smith's prophesies that failed (there were many) and the number of conflict version of the First Vision he told). Once their faith in the foundations of Mormonism are shaken, THEN you can open the Bible. The information of Joseph Smith I have mentioned, and much, much more can be found at my friend Sandra Tanner's website www.utlm.org. Just a prayerful suggestion, from someone who has been doing this for a long time.
There is information on UA-cam and the internet in general about Bible translation and why we can trust it. My favourite is a video called "How Badly has the Bible Been Corrupted?" It's a presentation by a biblical scholar to a group of university students. Perhaps if you could show your mormon friends that the Bible isn't missing any "plain and precious parts," they would begin to trust it or at least give them food for thought.
I just seen this video for the first time. I was talking to a Mormon for like 2 days. God is good cause the same point you made. Was the same things we was talking about. It's true what you say about how they see God , Jesus and salvation.
@@chrisblanc663 Hey Chris, Seek Jesus with your whole heart (not Joseph Smith's perspective & His heart) I dare you. Then ask Jesus who He is and what He did and if He is still working on earth through the Holy Spirit. If you really want to seek Him with your heart, you will find Him. When you find Him, no one will tell you He isn't who the Gospel of John chapter 1 through chapter 3 says, because He is. By the way, this happened to me. Give it a try, I dare you to not follow man or his ways......seek Jesus first and find Him and only follow Jesus because He is the only way, truth and life. Wait a minute, I’m a Christian (Protestant, Reformed, Evangelical)…but I would not lump in other Trinitarian Christians into a category of just another cult. Seventh-day Adventists uphold the central doctrines of Protestant Christianity: the Trinity, the incarnation, the virgin birth, the substitutionary atonement, justification by faith, creation, the second coming, the resurrection of the dead, and last judgment.
Their Sunday service is always talking about what they did on the weekdays instead of the Bible. Same goes to Sunday school, more on the mormon book and less on the Bible.

I left the church but always noticed in the talks Jesus was never mentioned until the end. It was always about themselves following certain rules and why we should be following the rules. Strange how Jesus is rarely mentioned anywhere in the church as they are teaching.
Luke 17:20-21, Jesus says, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you” (NKJV).
As well it should be Mary, to all who profess Christianity. It might shock some to learn that becoming a god (small g) is still a goal for the majority of those that call the themselves Christian today. This dogma was universal until only a few hundred years ago when they started watering down the gospel. Luckily this heretical view “that we should not strive for godhood” has not yet completely taken hold in today’s Christian Churches. If you need examples, let me known.

Depending on its context, the word translated “everlasting” (ôlām in Hebrew) in Psalm 41:13 means both “eternity past” and “unending time going on into the future; forever.” God is worthy to receive praise from eternity past, now, and forever after. Ever since the beginning of time and until the future with no end, God was, is, and ever shall be blessed. A similar refrain is found in 1 Chronicles 16:36: “Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said ‘Amen’ and ‘Praise the LORD’” (see also Psalm 106:48). The apostle Paul said In Romans 9:5, “He is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen” (NLT). Scripture repeatedly affirms the eternality of God: “Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God” (Psalm 90:2). God’s “throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting,” states Psalm 93:2 (ESV). In the book of Nehemiah, the Levites call the people to “stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting” (Nehemiah 9:5). The prophet Isaiah identifies God as “Everlasting Father” (Isaiah 9:6). In Jeremiah 10:10, He is “the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King” (ESV). From Genesis to Revelation, He is the “Everlasting God” who lives and “reigns forever and ever” (Genesis 21:33; Revelation 10:6; 11:15). Everything that God is exists from everlasting to everlasting. His name and His renown are eternal (Psalm 135:13). We have the assurance in Psalm 103:17 that “from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.” His great love and faithfulness endure forever (Psalm 117:2; 1 Chronicles 16:34). “He stood and measured the earth; he looked and shook the nations; then the eternal mountains were scattered; the everlasting hills sank low. His were the everlasting ways,” states Habakkuk 3:6 (ESV). Even God’s Word exists from everlasting to everlasting (Psalm 119:89; John 1:1). Nothing came before God, and nothing will ever come after Him (Proverbs 8:23). “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary” (Isaiah 40:28). He is “the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Revelation 22:13, NLT; see also Revelation 21:6). He is “the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come-the Almighty One” (Revelation 1:8, NLT). His “kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,” and His “dominion endures through all generations” (Psalm 145:13). Since Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is God Himself, He possesses the exact nature as God the Father (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:23; Colossians 2:9). There is “no beginning or end to his life,” and He is our priest forever (Hebrews 7:3, NLT). The eternal nature of our Lord-the fact that our Savior and Advocate exists from everlasting to everlasting-underscores the security we have in Him. “When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation” (Proverbs 10:25, NLT). David could praise the Lord in his darkest hour because he trusted in his “eternal Rock” (Isaiah 26:4). And we who have built our lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ can rest securely in His everlasting arms (Matthew 7:24-27; Isaiah 28:16; Ephesians 2:20; Deuteronomy 33:27).
That is great, remember to be in prayer, prepared, patient, and point them to the Scriptures with questions. Questions are great ways to plant seeds, sharing with an attitude of grace and truth. Lord bless, keep in touch and let me know how it goes. Kelly
"Who is the first God?" Is like an atheist asking "When did God start being God?" "Where is it in the Bible?" Do you realize that you believe there are truths not found in the Bible, yet are still true? So, if something isn't found in the Bible, it doesn't prove anything. "Everlasting to everlasting" is one of God's many names, not a literal timeline. Especially since God doesn't measure time, at least, not in the way we do, and also when God creates "numberless" things, it actually has a number, but it's too big for our mortal minds, so God uses immeasurable metrics to prove a point. Another fallacy: We agree that God is infinite and uncreated, but that doesn't mean God has always been God. We don't believe there was a time when Jesus didn't exist. Intelligences are eternal and uncreated. Jesus was born spiritually like us, but His intelligence always existed. "First and the Last", "Alpha and Omega", etc. These are more examples of His many names. You guys believe in a different God. We believe in the biblical God, not the God of the creeds written by wannabe apostles. Three heavens is biblical. Proof texting Hebrews to claim there's no life after dead is anti Christian and not biblical. Jesus taught me will be one with Him. We agree that sin separates us from God. If there is no 2nd chances, why did Jesus (between His death and resurrection) preach to the souls who rejected Noah? We believe hell is eternal. We agree spiritual death came to all mankind because of Adam. Have you not researched our religion? Reading two verses in John 3 and concluding we know everything about the meaning of "eternal life" is not being intellectually honest since the Bible teaches we can become like God. We believed we are saved by grace, not works. Even the verse you quoted in 2 Nephi says we are saved by grace. The use of the word "after" in this scenario is synonymous with "despite." Here's a question most Christians that aren't in the restored Church of Jesus Christ cannot answer: "If you reach the pearly gates and you're told Joseph Smith is a true prophet and the Book of Mormon is true word of God, and you need to accept a baptism for the dead in one of our temples and accept all the truths we believe that you denied on earth, would you have the humility to convert and be saved?"
Mormons believe they will populate their own world with their spouse. Matthew 22:30 says in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven.
@@OwenMLDS I'm guessing you are either thinking about becoming or a newer Mormon. One of the things a lot of Mormons dont know is their own doctrine for what the church actually believes. Hey thanks so much for the video. These are some good questions to ask. I've been talking to some Mormon friends lately and will be interested to see what their responses will be to these questions. I was wondering though about one thing you mentioned in this video. Just wondering why you included Seventh-day Adventist with the Cults like Jehovah's Witness in Mormonism? Isn't Seventh-Day adventism a legitimate Protestant denomination? If not I was just interested to know What specific teaching would make it a cult? Thanks again.
Have you ever spoke to a sda , most believe in Ellen White and will teach from her books rather than the Bible. They believe in soul death and if you don't keep the sabbath you can't go to heaven.
Hi Phillip, thanks a lot for the info. Yeah, one of the first full sets of bible studies I ever went through like 15 years ago was actually from an sda church and I've done other stuff through them since. They mostly just teach from the Bible in general though, at least in my experience. Did the ones you studied with not use scripture then? But, yeah that's why I was wondering why the guy mentioned about them being a cult because I didn't think they actually held to any beliefs that technically made them unorthodox. Anyway, I'm just trying to take a fair look at it. I've looked into mormonism quite a lot and jw somewhat and found pretty clear things in their own writings to say that neither of them are Christian churches, but I haven't found anything obvious yet for sdas and I want to be fair in how I approach it with them as well. I'm not sure I understood the part you mentioned about the Sabbath though as far as how that believe partains to the cult idea. Were you saying that one of the things that would make them a cult is them saying that we can't willingly live in disobedience to the commandments and still go to heaven? But don't basically all Christians believe that sin is breaking the commandments and that if we sin willfully there's no sacrifice for us and so we can't go to heaven? Would you mind expounding a bit more? Any info clarity you could give would be appreciated. Blessings.
@@LeviLongoria You brought up another point about sda , they think that just keeping the ten commandments will get a person into heaven. No sin separates you from God and no one can keep all of the commandments anyway, so if you believe than you are a sinner than you a savior. So God his son to die on a cross and take your sin away. But most sda don't believe this to be true.
Hey Phil, yeah I actually have talked to an sda person that seemed like he was kind of mixing the idea of justification and sanctification, almost like the Catholic idea of infused righteousness, which is a very cultish belief i would say, since it twists the true gospel. Him and I had a pretty intense discussion about that. But as far as everything I was able to find after talking to him, that doesn't seem to actually represent the official teachings of the church. The church itself seemed pretty solid on the gospel of grace actually. That's why I was wondering if you might happen to have any specific references you could send me where I could see that this is actually what the sda church itself teaches. As I'm sure you know, there's all kinds of opinions thrown out there nowadays, and I don't want to throw out a whole denomination that I've been learning from over the years based on something someone may have heard from someone who heard it from someone else, if you understand what I'm saying. But on the other hand I absolutely do not want to be lead astray into any church that doesn't teach the true gospel. I wouldn't even want to be associated with them if that's the case. Is there anything specific I could look at that you know of to see that the actual church teaches a works based gospel? Also, I hear what you're saying as far as people not keeping the law perfectly. I would certainly be in that boat myself. But you still wouldn't say that anyone can live in wilful sin and still be saved would you? As far as I know that's pretty standard Christian teaching.
Thanks so much. I am a recent born again christian and i am in contact (by phone) with a nice young mormon lady. This will help me tremendously in talking with her and hopefully helping her understand the true word of God.

We definitely believe in the Biblical Christ, we read from the Bible and learn from it as it is holy scripture for us. Keep studying with those missionaries, I think you’ll be surprised at how much you’ll agree with and how it all makes sense. Our religion may seem weird from the outside, but when you start to really understand what we believe you’ll see how the doctrine all fits together so well.
Why in the world would someone hinge their existence upon the writings/journals of other humans perception and experience of God and spirituality? My connection to the divine is personal and direct. I do what works for me. I encourage all to explore whatever that is for you ❣️
I appreciate the time you took to learn from, study, and share fr the scriptures. A lot of the faults you found with beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) aren't actually exactly how you explain them. For example with your second point about Jesus Christ. In the Premortal Life we all lived with God; in Moses 3 it says that "God created all things spiritually before they were naturally upon the earth." Because nothing can be created ex nihilo (from nothing), we understand that nothing has a beginning or an end. Our spirits weren't just created from nothing, but from matter of spiritual substance. Jesus Christ was the First Born of the Father, but that doesn't mean He had no part in the creation. In fact, in the Church we know that Christ was the one who created the earth and all things upon it, just like you were saying it teaches in the Bible. Christ created these things under the direction of God the Father. Doctrine and Covenants says, "Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, who created the heavens and the earth." The Christ in the Bible is the same Christ in the Book of Mormon. We believe in the Bible along with our other standard works! The scriptures are beautiful! And there is so much to learn from them! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I love your excitement for God!
You believe God (both the Father and the Son) were created beings though, that both the Father and the Son are separate beings, both separate gods, and that the Father was even a mortal man before he became God. And that he has a body of flesh and bone. That is not who God of Abraham Jacob and Isaac is. He is the only one true God, there is no other god. Uncreated - from everlasting to everlasting He always was God, always will be. He doesn't change. There was no god before him, and there never will be any god after him. The is none like him. He created all things, and existed before all time. He is invisible, and no one has ever seen him. The Son, manifested himself in the flesh at the incarnation and took on the form of a human body, and he reveals the Father to us in himself, as he is the exact imprint of the father, equal and one, the same being. So, this doesn't sound like the same God at this point, does it?
They’re separate beings because the Bible distinguishes them as such. And if you reflect on some statements in the Bible where it is said “there is no other god besides me” for example you’ll note that this is a common idiom of comparison - ie. I am the highest, greatest, most powerful etc; not related to existence.
@@zackmac5917 It's just two different understandings regarding the nature of God, not different Gods. After the death of the original Apostles, Christianity itself diverted into multiple different understandings regarding God's very nature until they got together at the Council of Nicaea and voted on which one they would follow. Somehow, I don't think God's truth would ever be subject to a vote by a bunch of old men with different opinions. No, God is far greater than this. While the human mind is incapable of truly understanding His nature, in the big picture, that matters far less than the efforts we make to follow Him whatever our understanding may be. He is mighty to save us regardless of our mortal weakness and misunderstanding.

Ridiculous and absurd. It always kills me when an anti Mormon becomes a so called “expert” on LDS theology after reading a paragraph in the History of the Church or Journal of Discourses 😂. You’re referencing the king follet discourse. Joseph Smith wasn’t referencing the infinite regress model, he’s talking about mortality vs immortality. Every scholar knows this. You can reference Blake Ostlers work on this. Perhaps you can find a passage in the D&C (where 99.9% of our doctrine is derived) where it discusses the finite nature of God? You won’t. It’s not there. He is infinite and eternal per our doctrine.
it is known that when christ died and the apostles tried to continue to bring people to christ, it eventually became polluted with some pagan beliefs... this was done so those who were not christian would find the gospel more appealing, the Nycean council decided to take some parts of the gospel out, and add pagan practices like idolatry , in order to appeal to non christians. thereby building the churches number, this essentially was the beginning of Catholicism.
Well, clearly you do not know the history of the nicene creed. More indoctrination and lies you've received. Repent and turn to Christ. Run from your false prophet Joseph and turn to Christ. Please my friend, while you still have time.
Indeed the catholic religion is heretical like the Mormon faith they pray to Mary for 1 thing the pope claims to speak for God and its filled with pegan practices. Years ago I joined my wife's church who only use the holy Bible and I compared it with my catholic upbringing I was baptized as an infant was not a choice but did it as God told us to in order to be truly saved my parents witnessed me being baptized and they were confused why I chose this....following catholic way of doing things will prevent you from being saved just like Mormons who decided all our saved the cathics think dipping a baby in water will save the soul....nope God Saif it must be a personal choice you make with all your heart not some pegan practice.
I'm an ex-Mormon, and it's always interesting listening to these kinds of video's because I like to wonder what I would say if I watched this when I was still Mormon, and I can guarantee, I would never have an answer for any of these questions, whatsoever. Something not a lot of people know about, is that Gordon B. Hinkley, a former Prophet of the Mormon church, flat out said the Jesus they speak of, is not the Jesus Christ Christian's worship - which makes sense considering they believe Jesus is the spirt brother of Lucifer. Something else to note with Mormon's - they proclaim the Book of Mormon as another testament to Jesus Christ, and say nothing in the Book of Mormon contradicts the Bible - but Alma 7:10 says that Jesus was born in Jerusalem.
So do you still believe in God or did you go the route of an atheist? If you still believe in God, then what would you say is the one thing that can tear down the walls that Mormons put up?
@@blusheep2 I believe in God 100%. I don't know if it would tear down the walls Mormons put up, but I know for me, and for my Dad who left the Mormon church for the same reason there was one thing that made us both leave. First is Exodus 33: 30 - which is when God tells Moses that no man can see God and live. And another thing that made me leave was the fact that for the Mormon church to be true, Jesus, knowing everything that would happen the second he stepped away from us idiotic humans, would've had to go through everything he did on the cross to save us from our sins, and regret it when humans started being greedy and selfish without him there all the time.
@@janessaburlingham2489 Wow! That was actually really helpful. I never thought of that Exodus 33:30 verse. I believe Mormonism is one of the easiest religions to falsify. There aren't many religions that can be falsified as most are just claims or philosophies. Christianity and Mormonism are two exceptions. Yet, Mormons seem to avoid these conversations. Its as if they feel strong on theological issues but know that apologetically they don't have much to stand on. But since they don't interact, most of the time, with apologetics then I've been wondering what they would interact with. Maybe a verse like that would do it.
@@caseymills4704 And yet around 737 - 696 BC, which is when the prophet Micah was around, they knew about Bethlehem and wrote that it would be in the least of the clans of Judah where the Savior would be born (I'm paraphrasing a little). Something to ponder, is that if it's supposed to be another 'testament' of Jesus Christ, why is the detail of the town he was born, wrong? If that's wrong, what else is wrong throughout the Book of Mormon, considering they've edited and changed it over 4000 times since it was published in 1830?
I have a question. Is God a respector of persons and has condemned billions to hell by virtue of being born, lived, and died without ever hearing the gospel? Are unbaptized children damned to an eternal hell? Did Hitler send Jews from the hell of Alchawitz to hell hereafter? Does James 2 not exist in your Bible? Aren't "Mormons" saved by your definition of the salvation given by Jesus the Son of the Father?
My answer for you is this: no, God is no respecter of persons, nor does he condemn anyone to hell out of involuntary ignorance. In line with our practice of proxy ordinances for the dead, they are given the opportunity after their passing. Those who take that opportunity can still be saved. And heaven and hell are not really terms that describe our belief. Hell as we see it, is more called outer darkness, and is reserved for those who have gained and understanding of the truth of the gospel, but reject it, or actively attempt to dismantle and go against God. The Jews killed by hitler are blessed by god after death with an opportunity to come to him because they never could, and in all likelyhood, hitler would not be in that outer darkness. He would simply be in the lowest of God’s kingdoms, where he is eternally separated from Jesus or his grace. This kingdom, the telestial kingdom is reserved for those who actively commit evil and fall prey to satan. Also, “our Bible” is actually the king James Version, which is a rather common version and the one we consider to be most accurately translated from its original language.
We do not have a different God and you do not have a different God. We have a deeper understanding of the same God and the parameters under which that God exist. It is the same God and the same Jesus Christ… OK I'm pulling up to Home Depot I got to go in when I come out. I'll continue listening and commenting. This is a good man just like I was before I join the church I had limited understanding, now I can see a bigger picture and I'm at complete piece with myself and with this person's explanation because he doesn't see the whole picture it's like sitting in a room full of books under a lightbulb that's 100 W then the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints comes to the scene and you have an endless wattage to look at the books and the knowledge that is out there into increase your understanding
The fact that you call him good, illustrates your understanding of God's Holiness, and moral definition of good.. Jesus said there is no good, but God. Our works, and self ritchousness is filthy rags before God. We need to be reborn, a new heart, indwelling of the holy spirit, covered in the blood of Jesus as a cloke of ritchousness. Repent and trust in Jesus and what he did on the cross. Your sins will be forgiven, and cast as far as the east is from the west.

Exmormon here, and I want to make clear a fundamental misunderstanding of Mormon doctrine. You said they claim to believe in the god of the bible. That is only half true. They believe in the Jesus that the 'prophets' have described, and they claim to believe in the bible as long as it is translated 'correctly.' What you don't seem to realize in this video is that Mormons don't actually believe that there is a perfect translation that exists, so any of these verses you read off to them that contradict church doctrine will be dismissed by them as being a mistranslation, even if it isn't true. They believe that a true translation of the bible, if one were to exist, would fully affirm all of their beliefs. Therefore, using the bible may give you the warm fuzzies, believing that you're epically owning them, but you are actually just talking past them. Discussions such as these remind me of two kids having an argument like 'my dad said X' and the other rebuts, saying 'well, my dad said NOT X.' This is no way of having a productive conversation. Rather, to have a productive conversation with a Mormon where you will shake their faith is by understanding the independently verifiable lies throughout church history and describing them clearly to them.
What discussions had the most impact on your decision to walk away from the LDS church? I've watched some teachings on a few of the problems with Joseph Smith and the book of Abraham. What other material would you recommend?
@@richardjames6456 First off, I think it'll be really hard to convert mormons to any other sect of christianity in general due to specific conditioning. But, if you want to shake their faith in mormonism, joseph smith's polygamy behind his wife's back and with under age girls is a good start. The book of abraham is very troubling for members, but I would also look into the kinderhook plates. They were verified as a fraud by their creator, and joseph smith belived an ancient prophet wrote it and began translating it until it was exposed as a lie. You can also look into how joseph smith scammed people by using folk magic to "find treasure." Of course, no treasure was ever found by him, and he was actually charged with fraud. The records were discovered recently in the courhouse near where he lived showing that he was, in fact, scamming people. But the worst part about that story is that he used the exact same rock in a hat to "transalte" the book of mormon, often without the golden plates in the room.
I accept your challenge… I am a convert to the church of Jesus Christ Larry saints. Question number one about God, having a father. Read revelations, chapter 1 verse six word talks about God and his father If you had a father, he must've been a son and if he was a son, he was probably like us… Let's go to question number two as I turn the video back on
Thanks for sharing this video, just sharing a few things. I have relatives who are mormons and have discussed with them what I know about the origins of their church, how their church continues to develop their beliefs day by day, their practices which are occult specially when they marry by their church regarding the vows they take. All questions I had for them, couldn't be answered because they use their book of mormon to answer and they asked me to read their book to find my answers, if not they would say they would get back to me the following they after the consult their teachers. Which by the way their teachers would tell them to avoid conversations with me. I've told them one can not add or subtract or mix any wording of the bible according to the holy bible and make it the book of mormon. Also years back they did not accept any one from the black comunity because their teachings would not allow it but then years (decades) later they decided to allow blacks become mormons ignoring the original reasons as to why they weren't accepted. I've read the history of the book of mormon and it is very sad how the whole thing started and its that many of its faults which go against the principles of the wholly Bible. There's more then 3 questions to ask the mormons, of course one needs to know facts about their beliefs so we can know what to ask and see what the bible says about it.
Blacks could always be members of the church. Joseph Smith ordained them into the priesthood but for some reason, I don't agree with Brigham Young, Brigham Young refused to give the priesthood to them and they couldn't go to the temple. That may be a fact you didn't know. I do have a question for you: Do you think that there may be other lands and people who have left record of their excistence but the records have not yet been discovered? Did Christ not say that he has other sheep that are not of this fold? The bible and the Book of Mormon are two very different accounts of people in different lands who testified of Jesus Christ.
1. Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 2. John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I AM. 3. John 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
There are three persons in the Godhead. God the Father is invisible and a spirit. Jesus Christ has a body. The Holy Spirit is invisible. John 8:58 Jesus Christ is God. Exodus 3:14 God is I Am. Christ claimed to be God. That is why Christ was crucified. It was called blasphemy and punishable by death. Christ said that your sins would not be forgiven and you would be condemned to outer darkness/hell if you refused to believe that Christ is God. John 8:19, 24
@@estherlewis7458 Jesus Christ said he was exactly like his Father. Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. So you would have us believe that then Jesus ascended to heaven with his resurrected body of flesh and bones to be at the right hand of this being without body, parts, and passions you pray to. No, sorry, we were told to believe in the Father as He is. Doctrine and Covenants 130:22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's.
@@rbwinn3 God the Father has already told us that He is invisible and a spirit. I Timothy 1:17; Hebrews 11:27; Colossians 1:15; Who are you that you know more than God?
@@rbwinn3 The good news is that you have an appointment with death and an appointment with the true and living God the Father. Christ will be your Judge. That will make everything clear.
@@estherlewis7458 Everything is clear. This earth was created by Jehovah, the God the Jews and Israelites prayed to. Jesus Christ plainly said he was Jehovah. The Pharisees had no trouble understanding what he was saying. They took up stones to kill him. So when Jehovah told the backsliding idol worshipping Israelites that he was God and that beside him there was no other God, he had authority to say that. He was speaking for his Father. People who preach for money do not understand authority. They do not have authority. Here is an example of how authority works. An angel appeared to Hagar by the fountain of waters and told her to return to her mistress, Sarah. Hagar immediately said that the Lord God had told her to return to her mistress. Was Hagar wrong? No, she was not wrong. The angel had authority to speak for God. This principle is repeated throughout the Old Testament. The same is true for Jehovah when he said he was the only true God and that beside him there was no other God. He was saying what the Father wanted him to say to these idol worshipping Israelites. The Father wanted them to understand that idols made from wood and stone were not really Gods. I know how difficult this must be for concerned Christians to understand. They preach for money and for the praise of the world.
Berean, I invite you to read a book from Stephen E Robinson titled “Are Mormons Christians? This book helped me with this very question. I believe it may help you and many of your social media followers with this very question as well. I don’t know you, nor do you know me. However, I feel as though you are acting rather narrow minded, based off YOUR secular ideas as to who is able to call themselves Christian. It is my feeling that you are wielding a double edged sword and using YOUR beliefs as a double standard, as to who YOU believe is able to call themselves Christian. However, based off these 3 questions of yours, your reasoning would also eliminate some orthodox and unorthodox religions that most would consider to be Christian. I am reminded of a few passages of scripture that come from the same Bible that we both read and believe in. 1) “Contention is of the devil” and 2) “By their fruits ye shall know them.” The fruits that I viewed from your video, show me that you are more interested in attempting to contend with, find fault in, and slander the beliefs of those, who like you proclaim to be Christian and believe in Jesus Christ. Albeit, their beliefs of Jesus Christ might not align perfectly with yours. It doesn’t change the fact that they believe in Christ just as you do. I implore you to stop contending with other faiths and religions. Rather, focus on the good fruit that comes from each varying faith and accept not what you consider to be the sin, but rather “the sinners” just as Jesus Christ Himself would. Life is too short to contend with or find fault in others that may not think or believe as you do. You are better than that. So let us try to follow the Lords commandments and “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” Matthew 22:37-39. May God bless you and be with you always my friend.
"19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise" (John 5:19) Jesus can do NOTHING save he see the FATHER do it. Jesus was born, Jesus grew up, Jesus died, Jesus resurrected etc, and could do none of it save he see the Father do it first. So as you can see, we Mormons are more Biblical in our teaching. So what's the first question and how did I not answer it? With regards to whatever the second question is, Paul said: "15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature" Colosians 1:15) Jesus is the Firstborn of ALL creation that's right in the Bible I don't know what the third question is either but King David did say he would not remain in hell: "10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption" (Psalms 16:10) In fact David repeats and illiterate on it: "13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell" (Psalms 86:13)
Hi. I'm a born-again Christian who will be celebrating walking with my Lord Jesus for 47 years tomorrow - 23 February 1974! I was 13 and heard the Gospel preached at a Youth for Christ rally in Hiawatha, Kansas. I am, however, an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know my name's written in the Book of Life because of repentance of my sins and wholly trusting in the blood of my Lord to wash my sins away. I live for Him.
I served for six months of my mission in the Lake Shawnee Ward, I always wanted to visit Hiawatha since it went partially into Nebraska but never had the chance. Glad to read your story, we truly believe we are born again through Jesus Christ! Thank you for your testimony
... No... I can answer each of those questions. I have answered each of those questions, and all you're doing is ambushing uninformed members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's like me asking about the trinity when that doctrine comes from the Council of Nicea, not from the Bible. I could also choose how Chalcedonian Christians believe Christ to be wholly man and wholly divine, or some obscure Christology particular to Protestantism, or my favorite, that you're saved by grace alone, when the Bible clearly declares that faith without works is dead, the need for ordinances, and protestant rejection of theology held a millennium before the movement began, like apostolic succession. Yea, I think it's a shame most church members don't know the theology as intimately as you know yours, but there is nothing in those questions that's particularly shocking. Oh and lastly, no God did not have sex to create us in a pre-mortal existence. The fact you propagate this myth kind of chaps my hide. You cite a bunch of church canon, while not understanding it, but refuse to find whether or not church cannon supports this point, which it doesn't. Read the book of Abraham in the Pearl of Great Price. I would say you're acting in good faith, except for that last point. It really ruins the whole thing. It's pretty sad, actually.
@@BereanPerspectiveApologetics No, I'm not a spokesman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, and I don't intend to be portrayed as such. Also, I've not been active in that faith for the better part of a decade.
Paul never warned the saints of "another" gospel in Galatian, and you inserted the text where you said Paul said, "Not really a gospel at all" starting 10:00 the King James says " Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:7) Paul didn't say here it's no gospel at all, in fact, he establishes that it's the same but being perverted. If you read further into Galatians you will see Paul's beef was with Peter, James and John who he taught were the Apostles of the circumcision. The reality is, there was a division as to how to appropriately apply the law of Moses to converted jews. It was clear Gentiles were not going to be required to keep Torah but Jews in the church were suppose to. This is why the Epistle of James presents a works based salvation that uses the works of Abraham to validate his beliefs where Paul focused on Abraham's initial belief alone to justify him.
Paul says they have a different (heretos) gospel, not the same (allow) gospel. Paul definitely warned of different gospel that was false! That is why he said if anyone, including angels, was to be accursed!!! Wake up my lds friend and turn from Mormonism to the Jesus of the Bible.
@@BereanPerspectiveApologetics Paul used the word "heteron" not heteros, you don't even know Greek you just shove Greek words in to make yourself look smart. When you stop being lazy and actually read the rest of Galatians, you'll actually see the context of what Paul is talking about and who he is referring to as being "accursed." "“But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;”" (Galatians 2:7) There you go, two gospels being presented, one from him of uncircumcision the other of Peter the gospel of circumcision. Two gospels presented, and further Paul writes: "But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed." (Galatians 2:11) He then calls out James as well: "For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision." (Galatians 2:12) He later rebukes Peter for not following the truth of the Gospel: "But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?" (Gelatins 2:14) So, what do you want? Paul named names and Peter and James the Lord's brother got special mention as part of this group preaching another gospel. Do we rip their epistles out of the Bible? This is why I will never be an Evangelical, you guys are programmed and brainwashed, you repeat those parts in Galatians about another gospel without even reading the entire epistle that is not even that long. You are lazy about reading and you cover it up with your fake education and made up Greek words.

Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus of the Bible is the ONLY way to heaven and the Mormons do not believe in nor do they worship the Jesus of the Bible. Mormons believe Jesus is the spirit brother of Lucifer aka Satan. The bible explicitly states that Jesus is God, that Jesus is the Creator of all things and the One who holds all things together. He created Lucifer who is an angel. Just because the Mormons worship someone they have named Jesus does not mean they worship the One True God. And because they worship false gods, their souls are in jeopardy. Because we Christians point this out to Mormons does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that we are hateful, or trying to put them down; quite the opposite. We show them the truth by showing them the error of their doctrine and invite them to know the one true God. Sometimes, learning the truth hurts. Sometimes, realizing that you have been lied to by people who you trusted is difficult to accept, but when you finally accept the truth and put your trust in Jesus, you can be free from all that anger and try to help other Mormons develop a relationship and trust in the one true God, our Lord, our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Bringing someone to know Christ is the most loving thing anyone could do for another.
Thank you for your video. As a former Oneness Pentecostal I wanted to point out that it is not a cult. It is a heresy. Calvinism is more akin to a cult than the oneness doctrine, as it was founded by a man John Calvin and adherents idolize their leaders (John Macarthur, John Piper, Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, etc. ) Not to mention the common thread of arrogance with most who follow that belief system ( but i guess if you are 'elect' you are pretty special). Calvinism/Gnosticism usually leads to atheism but at least most fire and brimstone oneness pentecostals maintain a belief in God. They just miss the three person Godhead concept and are often legalistic.
This sounds like contention to me. I hope I'm wrong. I believe to use God's word to Bible bash is an offense to God, The arm of flesh an be misleading. Listen to their message with a heart that truly seeks God's will, then take to Him in prayer.
This man’s spreading false rumors. I’m LDS and the vast majority of the church doesn’t believe the things you’re supposing we do. @@BereanPerspectiveApologetics Why was it necessary for Jesus to ascend to the Father and come back in a physical body before allowing Tomas to touch him? We also know God has fingers, as he used one to write The Ten Commandments in to stone with one. Hello, you claim that Mormons can't answer the three questions you've posed so I'll take on the challenge of answering them. 1. I don't think by saying God is everlasting, it means God has always been God. I think to claim God is everlasting is to claim that God has always existed in some form, which Latter Day Saints believe. As far as the idea of God being unchangeable, I believe that's referring to the way God is now. God is at a point where He doesn't change at all anymore. I don't think that necessarily means that God has always been unchangeable. I think it just means that God has been unchangeable since He first became God. 2. You're mistaken when you say Latter Day Saints believe there was a time when Jesus and the rest of us didn't exist. Latter Day Saints typically fall into one of two categories of what we believe we were before being children of God. Some believe that we've always existed as spirits and that God adopted us as children at some point. Others believe that we existed as an entity called intelligences before being children of God and that Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother created our spirit bodies and then we became spirit children of God. D&C 93:29 reads "Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be". As far as Jesus being the creator of everything, I interpret everything to mean this physical universe. When it comes to Jesus saying He is the beginning and the end, I interpret that to mean that He was there when the creation of the universe started and He'll be there when it ends. 3. I think you have a slight misunderstanding of Mormon belief regarding salvation vs. exaltation. Salvation is to have an immortal body and live in a degree of Heaven. Exaltation is to be able to go to the highest degree of Heaven and become a God. The lowest degree of Heaven is the Telestial Kingdom. D&C 76: 109-110 says this about the people in that kingdom. "109 But behold, and lo, we saw the glory and the inhabitants of the telestial world, that they were as innumerable as the stars in the firmament of heaven, or as the sand upon the seashore; and heard the voice of the Lord saying: These all shall bow the knee, and every tongue shall confess to him who sits upon the throne forever and ever". So, to get to Heaven you just have to believe in and confess to Christ. However, in order to gain exaltation, you must make and keep sacred covenants with God by the proper priesthood authority. As for your scripture of Hebrews 9:27, I'll quote it and give my explanation. It reads, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment". It says but after this the judgement. So, what exactly does the word this mean in this context? I think it's referring to the resurrection. After the resurrection will come the judgement. Latter Day Saints do believe sin separates man from God, that's why Jesus had to atone for the sins of all. A historian named Don Bradley explained that the phrase being saved after all you can do was a phrase in Joseph Smith's time that basically meant we are saved by grace despite everything we can do. I agree that we are saved by grace, no problem there. When the Bible says eternal life comes by believing on the Son of God, I think its authors are assuming that after believing on Him, they will do everything it takes to gain eternal life, which includes making and keeping covenants to God by the proper priesthood authority. Now that I’ve tried to answer those questions, I have some for you. Why didn’t God just create us all in Heaven in the first place? Why come to Earth to grow if we’re just going to be singing praises to God for eternity anyway? Why didn’t God only create those He knew would obey Him so nobody ended up suffering in Hell? Did God create all the rules that govern eternity? If so, could God create a rule that anyone who breaks a rule can be forgiven if they are sincerely sorry and change? If so, why was Jesus’s sacrifice necessary? What happens to all those who died without ever hearing about Jesus Christ in their lifetime and having a chance to repent of their sins through Him? Why did God create marriage in the first place if it’s just going to cease to exist after this life anyway? Please, I’d like to hear your answer to any or all of these questions.
Imagine having such a large ego you want to become a god....The mormon faith is a country club for old men afraid of death. They fear it for they truly know they practice sin, we are all human after all. Some people just trick themselves into believing in ascensionism through this faith. It's all just free mason rigmarole, and if you take is seriously, you surrender the notion of free will. Why would a creator godlike being give his creations the ability to ascend to their level on the spiritual foodchain? The answer: You are their slave, thier tools, their replacement. Tasked with the duty of maintaining an infinite cycle. You aren't born free if your options are salvation through service, or face the emptiness of oblivion. That isn't something benevolent beings do. This is almost textbook ascensionism....
That's actually a pretty good explanation. I think of the word 'created' more like 'organized' and it helps ease the anxiety over when we were 'created'. Still, trying to comprehend the eternal nature of things is nigh impossible for our finite minds. It's analogous to trying to teach a 3 year-old calculus. Calculus is true and definitely explains the way things work, but it is incomprehensible to minds who cannot comprehend it....yet. Which leads me to my final thought: The crux of the problem debating with our fellow Christians is they have to refer to the Bible only. It's like referring to the first volume of a multi-volume series, which invariably means you will miss out on some important parts. This gentleman uses scriptures from our faith, but even scriptures from the Book of Mormon need to be read and understood in context, by the power of the Spirit, and with truth revealed by present-day prophets. And that is the point. God will continue to reveal His grand designs through scripture and revelation, and I am grateful He reveals things little by little, because if he revealed all He knew it would be far more difficult to understand than a toddler reading a calculus textbook. I'm grateful we know what we know, but I can be fine having faith that the rest will be revealed in God's infinitely wise timing. There will always be some questions even the Latter-day Saints cannot answer, but I trust God anyway.
So you think Jesus Christ and Satan are half-brothers?!?! I am from Utah and many family members in it. My Grandma used to go to Temple twice a week at least. Me and my Grandfather used to argue about these beliefs cause my Mom’s side was Southern Baptist. Many Satanists become Morons on their journey up the ladder it has been reported. According to what you wrote, we are all the energy of God which is foolishness. We are souls not spirits. We have a spirit - whether that space is occupied by God or Demons is another matter. Mormonism is like reincarnation. You have always existed in one form or the other. Baptism for the dead is a joke! You all deny the absolute power of God. He was always God, and no other one has existed. That is blasphemy! My non-Mormon Grandpa, who was an Ogden City Police, told me a story of a party that was slaughtered by Mormons cause they wanted to settle in Utah. I say a movie about that. As a kid going to “Temple” during school field trips, I wondered why Brigham Young needed so many wives! They had pictures of all of them. He thought that he was god!! Mormonism is far from Christianity. But they do know how not to tell you what they believe so they make you think that they are so.

Good to read the Nemenhah records, and follow chief midegah and the birch bark scrolls. And ask why is the lds church suppressing other records that back up the Book of Mormon?
The difference between missionary work conducted by ministries like this and that done by our missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: We reach out and explain our beliefs and then challenge the listener to ask God about what we believe. We also teach and read from the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon. Ministries like this attempt to destroy faith and supplant it with their own, one way to do this is to create a strawman and attack that instead of actually learning and understanding what we believe and engage in a respectful manner. Which example sounds like it’s relying on Christ to create the witness and which is relying on the smooth talk and intellect of the presenter?
Shock and awe sucks. But this isn't your home with someone coming in and getting your undivided attention. This is poking holes in their perceived foundation in the hopes that they'll put down their religious bubble/filter and attempt to take YHWH'S words at face value and not go beyond the words that He has intentionally placed there. Even though this doesn't feel like love, it really is.
As an active LDS member, I thought the questions were good. There are some misunderstandings in some of his assumptions leading into the questions, but they were thought provoking nonetheless. To be fair, we could all find some questions to ask of each other which would be difficult to answer. When it comes to some of these questions concerning God, pre-existence, after life, etc…. I think we all know a lot less then we would like to think.

You may have an answer, but let us see how valid those answers are. Let us judge this against the scripture and see for ourselves what your answers are.
I'm a member and can answer these questions, hope this helps Questions 1 and 2 are basically the same questions how can God and Jesus say they are eternal if they didn't exist? Answer: All of us have always existed we believe that we are intelligences that have always existed. God and Jesus existed always then they thru creation by heavenly parents are and become literal spirit children of heavenly parents then we progress as much as we can spiritualy then we like the Lord and like God received physical bodys and progress more and then thru grace are resurrected to have perfect physical bodys like Christ. To sum we and God and jesus always existed as an intelligence. (This also answers alot of questions about like why did God make me this way or make men evil; he didn't men have agency and have always existed but he loves us as his children and helps us to progress to return home to him) And Jesus said, "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" We believe the Lord. 3. 3rd question, Bible talks about Jesus preaching to the spirits in prison and also Paul talks about the 3rd Heaven which I would say we agree with Paul and Jesus. A true and just God gives everyone the chance to hear the gospel, his gospel and choose to follow him or not. He rightly in the video points out there will be a judgement how can you be judged if you have never even heard the name Jesus before? We believe we gain eternal life or salvation and that judgement will be judged or based upon if we are "valiant in our testimony of Jesus Christ" we are saved by grace period. " after all we can do". Means there is nothing we can do or what can we do to save ourselves???, and further if you can do something then you don't need grace cause there is no sin or shortcoming so either way that's nonsense, there are a thousand passages in the book of mormon that say we are saved by the merits and grace of Christ. Again we believe eternal life is based upon the faith in Jesus christ or if you are valiant in your faith to Jesus christ or if you actually believe in Jesus Christ that is our doctrine period! And that covers everything like Jesus said in john 8:39 "They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham." If you are valiant in testimony of Jesus you will do the works of Jesus. We are saved by grace alone and we are judged on are faith in Jesus but if it's real faith then like the Lord says we will do his works and follow him. Thus you are baptized because of your faith unto repentance or rather because you believe you go do the work or ordinance he commands.
I'm mormon (well jack mormon) and eternal life is for everyone who decided to come down from pre-existence life to live on earth regardless of what you did here. Those who rejected the plan of happiness are satan's followers and do not qualify for eternal life.
At 4:19 a claim was made that in theology of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at some point, Jesus didnt exist. I dispute that and claim instead that the belief is that at some point he didnt have a spirit body until his spirit body was procreated by God the father and God the mother. That didnt mean he didnt exist. Instead the belief is that before a physical or spiritual body is procreated that Christ always existed as an intelligence and that every single one of us has always existed. At some point in our eternal existence our heavenly parents procreated each of our spirit bodies and then we were sent here to earth through the family of Adam by way of procreation of earthly parents. There was no beginning to each of us and there will be no end.
When a religion talks about another religion being false is a sign that they don’t believe in their own faith. This reminds me of a person who is jealous of someone else’s blessings.
How about reading the Bible before putting your foot in your mouth. Think, try it, it’s useful in life. Matthew 7:15-23, 2 Corinthians 11:4-15, Galatians 1:6-9.
The term God can refer to God the Father, but it can also refer to the divine Elohim: the UNION of divine Beings that is infinite, eternal and unchangeable creating worlds without end. In Mormon theology there was no first "god" -- creation has no beginning. We simply do not understand "time" fully. So the doctrine that the Father of Jesus is the same kind of Being as His very own Son, and thus also went through mortality, does not contradict D&C 20:17 and Moroni 8:18 because those verses are talking about the divine Elohim collectively. In Mormon theology Jesus, like ALL living Beings, is an eternal, uncreated intelligence in eternal progression. So it is not Mormon doctrine that Jesus at some point did not exist. Even the Bible says Jesus was the "Firstborn", and that has to mean firstborn spirit. But Jesus existed as an intelligence before being given a spirit body. Mormons do not accept the philosophical doctrine that Jesus has a "dual nature". The man Jesus in the Bible is the only Jesus there is. After his resurrection Jesus was given the NAME (Phil 2:8-9; John 17:11) above all other names, and was exalted (Acts 5:30-31 ), and was given all power in Heaven and earth (Matt 28:18). The verses given show that Jesus was given these things AFTER his resurrection. Thus the Bible verses that say Jesus creates all things and is the same forever are affirming that the resurrected Jesus is fully ONE as an equal member of the divine Elohim. Jesus is a finite being like us, and only by being ONE with his Father and all Fathers before is He the infinite, eternal, unchangeable creator of all things. The doctrine that we are judged right at death is not what the early Christians believed. They believed, as did most Jews, that all go to the world of spirits after death and await the resurrection. And besides, that doctrine contradicts Rev 20:11-15 which speaks of a final judgment AFTER the millennium.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Legalism is the dogmatic adherence to the “Letter of the Law” instead of the “Spirit of the Law”
The irony is that you are the one being legalistic by only applying a literal narrow interpretation to the parts of the gospel that you think allows you to put forward no effort on your part, yet you completely ignore or denounce both the clear literal interpretation or even the metaphorical interpretation of the parts of the gospel that says anything about works (either good or bad)
In fact, in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount he never put aside the laws that were given them...

Open up to that verse that says without need for interpretation, extrapolation, opinion, or inference that mormons are going to hell.
"Christian:"
Are you saved by grace?
Mormon:
Are you experiencing grace?
I like the second question better.
And that's how you deflect the question from saving grace to common grace.
Very well said!👏👏
Several things you said really resonate with me, because of my experience when I was Mormon (from when I was 1 until I was 13 when I left and joined the Catholic Church).

Hey Kelly, thanks for being my discipler & having all this available ❤ hope you’re doing well. Funny music 😭
Came here to say this as well. Beautifully stated. ❤️
Why does that bother people?"*
Because that's not anywhere in the scripture in the Bible, and instead the scriptures, both Jesus and the Apostles, spoke of the complete opposite to this.
As Christians, we do not just believe what we think sounds the nicest. We believe the truth of God's word, and we stick to the truth of God's word and judge all things against the truth of Gods word.
It's as simple as that.
You either believe and you're saved, or you don't believe and you are condemned already. (John 3:18)
You are not saved by works, but by grace through faith.
*"If you are immediately judged after death what’s the point of preaching to the gospel if you’ve already been judged at that point?"*
You are actually judged on the day of judgement.
Well said Zach.
Also God said our works are in compared to his are like filthy rags it's why we cannot through our works be saved.
@@zackmac5917 we do not believe we are saved by our own works. We acknowledge and know that, no matter what we do, Christ is the one who saves us.

@@MrMocheeks Amen.
1 Corinthians 4:6
_"I have applied all these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, brothers, that you may learn by us _*_not to go beyond what is written,_*_ that none of you may be puffed up in favor of one against another."_
Just one more tidbit regarding meaning in the Bible. Colossians 1:16 was quoted to support the belief that Jesus created everything.
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"
"Everything" in the Bible does not always mean every single solitary thing.
Jason David BeDuhn states:
All is commonly used in Greek as a hyperbole, that is, an exaggeration.
Since mint and rue are both herbs, and were thought to be so by the cultures from which the Bible comes, the phrase every herb must mean every other herb (NW) or all the other herbs (TEV) or all other kinds of ....herb (NIV)
Jason David DeBuhn, Truth in Translation: Accuracy and Bias in English Translations of the New Testament (Latham: University Press of America, 2003), 84-85
Taking "everything" as 100% literal would result in Satan being reconciled to Christ per Colossians 1:20.
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."
I hope this helps...
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth."
And...
"All things were made through him, and *without him was not any thing made that was made."* (John 1:3)
Hopefully that's clear enough.

This is so helpful! I have a conversation planned with a Mormon and I am going to use these questions and verses!
That is great, remember to be in prayer, prepared, patient, and point them to the Scriptures with questions. Questions are great ways to plant seeds, sharing with an attitude of grace and truth. Lord bless, keep in touch and let me know how it goes. Kelly
How'd it go?
These questions are dumb. They aren’t tackling the real issues. How about you ask your bible some questions
@@jope2123 it went well! I will always be praying for them.
@@Michaelbevan-hjf what’re the real issues?
"Who is the first God?" Is like an atheist asking "When did God start being God?"
"Where is it in the Bible?" Do you realize that you believe there are truths not found in the Bible, yet are still true?
The use of the word "after" in this scenario is synonymous with "despite."
Here's a question most Christians that aren't in the restored Church of Jesus Christ cannot answer: "If you reach the pearly gates and you're told Joseph Smith is a true prophet and the Book of Mormon is true word of God, and you need to accept a baptism for the dead in one of our temples and accept all the truths we believe that you denied on earth, would you have the humility to convert and be saved?"
Mormons believe they will populate their own world with their spouse. Matthew 22:30 says in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven.
Where do Mormons believe that
@@OwenMLDS I'm guessing you are either thinking about becoming or a newer Mormon.
I have just have not done any videos. What you said is correct from their beliefs

When did Jesus come into existence and when explain the process of how Jesus became a God
Hi there thank you for sharing. If you are open to a discussion I have people of faiths join me on my channel. Would you like to join me sometime?
@@dalecash2236 They're completely different Gods.

You've been teaching so long, and I don't mean any disrespect, that you believe the rationalizations that you've made up for yourself or the rationalizations others have made about our church. There were a lot of what I call generalizations that you made about us. You can't be an effective teacher if you're just summing everything up to fit in an explanation and narrative that you believe and want others to believe. You no longer are teaching truth. Just partial ones.

@Paul R soooo true. I'm in Utah for work right now, and the airbnb that I'm staying at is owned by a Mormon family. They are waaaaaaay too nice. Makes me somewhat uncomfortable to be honest. 😆
On point #1, Mormons believe that god is infinite and everlasting, just like you said the scriptures mention.
Joseph Smith, History if the Church Volume 6, page 305-306 + Gospel Principles chapter 47, Teachings of the Presidents Joseph Smith chapter 2, and I can go on and on. God was once a man who BECAME a God! To become something means you were not that before, thus God is not truly eternally God according to Mormonism.
Where did you find the council of Nicea added idolatry? It established the doctrine of the trinity.

Discussions such as these remind me of two kids having an argument like 'my dad said X' and the other rebuts, saying 'well, my dad said NOT X.'
This is no way of having a productive conversation.

So, I'm a Mormon and I would love to have the conversation with you. You can bring any questions that you may have , so we can discuss it.

@@rbwinn3 God the Father has already told us that He is invisible and a spirit. I Timothy 1:17; Hebrews 11:27; Colossians 1:15;
Who are you that you know more than God?

Jesus and god created the heavens and earth and everything else
LDS believe we are saved by grace through faith and James 2:17.
"19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise" (John 5:19)
Jesus can do NOTHING save he see the FATHER do it. Jesus was born, Jesus grew up, Jesus died, Jesus resurrected etc, and could do none of it save he see the Father do it first. So as you can see, we Mormons are more Biblical in our teaching. So what's the first question and how did I not answer it?
With regards to whatever the second question is, Paul said:
"15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature" Colosians 1:15)
Jesus is the Firstborn of ALL creation that's right in the Bible
I don't know what the third question is either but King David did say he would not remain in hell:
"10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption" (Psalms 16:10)
In fact David repeats and illiterate on it:
"13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell" (Psalms 86:13)

What did you do to become born again? Explain specifically how a person becomes born again, what must a person believe?
You have to be sure you're trusting in the Christ of the Bible and not a distorted version. A false Christ can't save you because he doesn't exist.
You like to come join me sometime on my channel for a discussion?
@@BereanPerspectiveApologetics No, I'm not a spokesman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, and I don't intend to be portrayed as such.
Also, I've not been active in that faith for the better part of a decade.
Paul never warned the saints of "another" gospel in Galatian, and you inserted the text where you said Paul said, "Not really a gospel at all" starting 10:00 the King James says " Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:7)
Paul didn't say here it's no gospel at all, in fact, he establishes that it's the same but being perverted.
When you stop being lazy and actually read the rest of Galatians, you'll actually see the context of what Paul is talking about and who he is referring to as being "accursed."
"“But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;”" (Galatians 2:7)
There you go, two gospels being presented, one from him of uncircumcision the other of Peter the gospel of circumcision. Two gospels presented, and further Paul writes:
"But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed." (Galatians 2:11)
He then calls out James as well:
"For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision." (Galatians 2:12)
He later rebukes Peter for not following the truth of the Gospel:
"But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?" (Gelatins 2:14)
So, what do you want? Paul named names and Peter and James the Lord's brother got special mention as part of this group preaching another gospel. Do we rip their epistles out of the Bible?
This is why I will never be an Evangelical, you guys are programmed and brainwashed, you repeat those parts in Galatians about another gospel without even reading the entire epistle that is not even that long. You are lazy about reading and you cover it up with your fake education and made up Greek words.
@@BereanPerspectiveApologetics are you trying to pretend you know greek by putting those words in parentheses?
This video is complete nonsense. The speaker does not know what the LDS religion believes, and he puts old Mormon speculation in the place of Mormon teachings.
Listen Man, as a Christian yourself, you SHOULD NOT be tearing down other Christian denominations. I’m not lds myself, but I have absolutely nothing against them. Their religion is beautiful and full of respect, dignity and faith for God. Some of the things you said like calling them a ‘cult’ were just disgusting and it’s definitely not what God wanted people to do. Would Jesus had judged them?
You’re welcome to believe what you want, but please stop starting fued and fighting amongst Christians. At the end of the day, whilst you may not believe it, the Mormon Church and the Book Of Mormon have changed many peoples lives, helping them live righteously and with faith.
So do better man, start loving others, not spreading hate
I need this in my life. I’m a Christian and live in an area where we get bombarded with waves of “elders” on bikes all summer long
Thank you for your video.
Straw man arguments are no way to live your life.
We believe Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life; none may come unto the father except by him. all I want to say is John 10:25-38
@@jamesmccluskey391 If the Father says They are One and Jesus says they are One, why don't you believe Him?
Have you ever noticed how YHWH says He is One God, yet speak to Himself, answers Himself, and talks about Himself in the second and third tenses throughout the OT. All three are present throughout the OT. It's not a contradiction, if He said it's true whether or not you are capable of humanly understanding.

John 20:17 “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
So it would appear in these verses that Christ has a physical body in Heaven, and needed it. If Jesus has a body in Heaven then it would make sense that God has one and we will as well.
Where do you read anything remotely about that? Jesus became a man in our likeness, the Father never became a man nor was ever a man.
@@BereanPerspectiveApologetics Why was it necessary for Jesus to ascend to the Father and come back in a physical body before allowing Tomas to touch him?
We also know God has fingers, as he used one to write The Ten Commandments in to stone with one.
Jesus said to preach to nonbelievers, if you are wrong and Mormons are Christians you will have their blood on you when you face God. Not a risk I would take.
We are told no man can see Gods face and live, this would seem to indicate God has a face. Man was made in Gods image and then was giving a living soul, seems God is not sprit.
@@georgekayser2479 I agree with all of this. Thanks so much for including your own thoughts.

The difference between missionary work conducted by ministries like this and that done by our missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:
We reach out and explain our beliefs and then challenge the listener to ask God about what we believe.
As an active LDS member, I thought the questions were good. There are some misunderstandings in some of his assumptions leading into the questions, but they were thought provoking nonetheless. So we absolutely believe that we are saved by grace and we will receive resurrection and eternal life. OK let's see what else he has to say that is diagnosis of my belief.
I recently started going to a LDS church and I'm getting baptized Saturday
LDS church is not Christian I pray you do more research and don’t get sucked in. Galatians 1:6-9 2 Corinthians 11:4
@@BereanPerspectiveApologetics I 2000% believe the book of Mormon is true and for the record we aren't a cult I tried a Baptist Church I didn't like that Baptist church
Would you be willing to talk today before tomorrow and have a discussion? I have studied and talk with LDS for over 30 years I’m very acquainted with their beliefs. I have been a Christian for 45 years, I’m 51 years old. Zoom, messenger, phone, a conversation.
@@BereanPerspectiveApologetics I been to every non LDS I hated them all my mind is made at I feel like I belong is the LDS church and God put me there for a reason
Sorry you have had bad experiences but the LDS is not a Christian church. Maybe one day you will truly examine it more thoroughly and see Joseph Smith was not a true prophet, the Book of Mormon is a counterfeit twisting the truth, I have reached out in love offering a conversation of grace with you. You have chosen wrong but we all have free will. Sadly the Mormon church has a false Jesus and false gospel, I do pray your eyes one day see and your blinders removed. If ever you want to talk please get in touch with me I’ll be there for you.

I'm member of Christ's church and I have the answer to all your 3 points.
You may have an answer, but let us see how valid those answers are.
Let us judge this against the scripture and see for ourselves what your answers are.
Clearly you dont.
I'm a member and can answer these questions, hope this helps
Questions 1 and 2 are basically the same questions how can God and Jesus say they are eternal if they didn't exist?
Answer: All of us have always existed we believe that we are intelligences that have always existed. God and Jesus existed always then they thru creation by heavenly parents are and become literal spirit children of heavenly parents then we progress as much as we can spiritualy then we like the Lord and like God received physical bodys and progress more and then thru grace are resurrected to have perfect physical bodys like Christ. To sum we and God and jesus always existed as an intelligence.
(This also answers alot of questions about like why did God make me this way or make men evil; he didn't men have agency and have always existed but he loves us as his children and helps us to progress to return home to him)
And Jesus said,
"Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?"
We believe the Lord.
3. 3rd question, Bible talks about Jesus preaching to the spirits in prison and also Paul talks about the 3rd Heaven which I would say we agree with Paul and Jesus.
And that covers everything like Jesus said in john 8:39
"They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham."
If you are valiant in testimony of Jesus you will do the works of Jesus. We are saved by grace alone and we are judged on are faith in Jesus but if it's real faith then like the Lord says we will do his works and follow him. Thus you are baptized because of your faith unto repentance or rather because you believe you go do the work or ordinance he commands.
I ask mormons why their "prophets" have not forsaw any of the wars, the holocaust, 911, etc. Nobody knows
Great job, hope we can save someone who is considering the Mormon religion because it is a false doctrine and a false prophet.
Great video make me think about another of things
Did you ask these questions to children or new converts?
After his resurrection Jesus was given the NAME (Phil 2:8-9; John 17:11) above all other names, and was exalted (Acts 5:30-31
), and was given all power in Heaven and earth (Matt 28:18).
Those who believe will also do good works.
What do you mean by being "saved?"
