Hi I have used them on my last two digs with my xterra 705 seem to work fine only thing I can mention is they go onto standby every 30 min but switch back on easily. I have heard people say they miss low tones but I can't see any faults with them Thx for posting GL&HH Alex
Did I get that right, the headset gets plugged into the transmitter? I thought the detector got plugged into the transmitter. John are you sure about that?
Holy smoke, Garrett Z Link Wireless goes for $127 on Ebay. My wireless system only costed no more than $42. I bought a transmitter for $13 and a bluetooth headphone for $25. An audio adapter for $2. They are good for 4 to 4.5 hours of metal detecting. To be more frugal, a bluetooth earbud goes gor $8 to $10. I bet you the Garrett transmitter box attached to the metal detector weights more than my transmitter which makes the metal detector more heavier.
Very disappointed in the set I bought for 3 reasons. I use a Whites v3i 1. Does not support tone ID. When over a target all tones heard through the earphones are the same frequency. 2. It's mono sound transmission only no stereo sound support even though the plug appears to support stereo. Worthless for v3i users that use mixed mode stereo. 3. left the transmitter box on charge for 12 hours, the charge light never turned off showing a full charge. Maybe a defective unit. Not taking chances with another. Returned for refund
I just left you a comment on Amazon. I find it hard to believe Garrett would put out a product that doesn't provide the many machines using multiple tone features to work with their Z-Lynk device. I will be digging into this matter to see what others are saying about their multiple tone machines with this device. Wireless is so much less hassle than constantly tripping over and snagging cables all day long. Peace.
Great review. Enjoyed that. I just subbed you. Please check my Chanel out. I've Been unwell. Not Been out this year at all due to lower spine problems 😖
What a ripoff! Garrett builds a wireles system that doesn't even use their proprietary two pin setup. Sure you can get the adapter for the transmitter (for another 40 bucks), BUT NOT THE TWO PIN HEADPHONES!

I picked mine up this week, very nice ! The detector plugs into transmitter, and head set plugs into the receiver

I can't get stereo mixed mode to work yet but I am enjoying multiple tones with tone I'd with my v3i
