1 thing noticeable about Matt is that 2 years ago his hair had't turned gray from the stress of owner ship of multiple cars...Poor guy. Still has a better hair line than me and i'm only 21.
Great vid Matt, I’ve never owned a (New)Mini and to be honest I wasn’t convinced by them being a classic mini fan, BUT having borrowed one for a day I was impressed by how much original attributes of the original car have been carried over. Really fun to drive, and nippy, a car I need to own one day. But my heart still stays closer to the original classic Mini, basically due to the A series engine sound.
@@furiousdriving I haven't actually. I will definately look into that though. Looking forward to getting the car. It's being shipped to me as haven't seen it yet but just fell in love with it when I saw the advert . Great video. I have subscribe now anyway
I've never come across a Minny Coper, they must be extremely rare and therefore will be difficult to find. Try a Mini Cooper instead, I think you'll find them easier to track down.
@@matthewgodwin3050 actually is a MINI Cooper. The BMW versions have MINI in capitals as part of their trademark. I thought you'd appreciate that as you have an eye for detail. :)
nice car, similar to our Y reg one. Why do you think it is pre-production tho mate. Everyone says OBL`s are the earliest. These OBL`s went out to Dealers etc as Showroom / demonstrators. Yours -Y951NJX -Taxed-Cooper-RED- first Reg-2001-07-06, is same month as ours, and ours isn`t known as pre-production.Black plate on RH wing prob says Build date May 01 like ours. What is your chassis number? ours is C00234 .Have you joined Facebook page LXM UK? loads of great people full of info that is really helpful. Also a Sister page called The Y Register.
Hi, short answer because its a quick short hand to describe how full production didnt start for a couple more weeks, these were built on the line but in small quantities, and not all components stayed the same into full production, and so bits vary from one car to the next-Im going to do a video on that soon. Im in the Y register, mine is 202 and also built May 1st, which was either a busy day or a few were built before and registered on the same day as there seem to be a lot on that date. Ive done a lot of research on this one and this was a showroom car at Scotall Mini, Leeds for the launch. Not seen LXM, Ill check it out
furiousdriving , it’s a lovely runner , body wise it’s a bit of a project . Just a lot of annoying little scrapes and dents , but it’s nothing that my bodywork chap can’t sort.

Hi, this was helpful. I have just bought one identical to this one (colour, wheels etc). Everything is the same. Interesting.
Brilliant! Have you joined the Y Register yet?

Would you recommend a minny coper for a ferst care
Yes they are great fun and easy to drive, just check it carefully as they can suffer with electrical problems as they age
