I worked in a bakery when I was a kid. The owner taught me how to make doughnuts and the best bread so good the crust of the loaf is why people wanted it. Miss that bakery. The hours sucked but man was it worth it to learn all that stuff. Hand dipping the frosting was my favorite part
With the icing on them those doughnuts remind me so much of the baby teethers from back in the day. They were filled with water or some kind of liquid and you put them in the fridge/freezer to get pretty cold then give to your baby to use to cut/sooth teeth.

I use to make all the cake donuts for the owner of three donuts shops. He was good about changing the oil often. I never over fried my donuts. They were a nice medium golden brown not greasy. I never got to taste any because I had to put out an exact amount each day. No left overs.😒

I use to make all the cake donuts for the owner of three donuts shops. He was good about changing the oil often. I never over fried my donuts. They were a nice medium golden brown not greasy. I never got to taste any because I had to put out an exact amount each day. No left overs.😒
