Thank u for detailed review as always. I just found ur channel and it’s helping me make a decision. I have one request, are you planning on reviewing QCY Crossky C30 Open Earbuds? This, the upcoming Nothing Open Earbuds and Huawei Freeclips are some open ears I’m looking at. Yes they are of different price points but for me, mic and call quality is the most important. Thank u
No problem! I am reviewing the Crossky c30 right now - really good apart from the mic is a bit disappointing and some way short of the Huawei for calls unfortunately :(
@@ReganCipher damn... Shame how the one thing I care the most about is where the qcy falls short. Have u tried the freeclip from Huawei urself? Ive seen reviews of the freebuds pro 3 being awesome for calls, but my ear shape causes traditional earbud shapes to fall out easily
@easonlim976 a friend of mine sent me a call sample from the Free clip a while ago and I was really impressed - don't think it's quite as good as the FBP3 but not far off. I'll be doing a few ear clip comparisons over the next few months as most of the mid tier brands have their own version coming. Soundpeats were showing theirs at an exhibition over the weekend so that won't be far off either
Do you plan to review more of these? I heard the Openrock X is the one to beat. Also I'm curious how the new shokz openrun pro 2 compares to these two (fiil gs and the Openrock X)
Yep, absolutely. I did review the OpenRock X - ua-cam.com/video/CXLd-dQjvMs/v-deo.html - but didn't really get on with the design. A few people have asked me about the OpenRun Pro 2 so I might review them in the new year, but Shokz haven't offered them to me yet 😥
I prefer the FIIL, but there's not big differences between these open ear buds. They are all tuned quite similarly and using similar drivers. The OpenRock X were good, but a bit overpriced compared to the FIIL
No worries 👍 S50 and GS sound quite similar actually - regancipher.squig.link/?share=1More_S50,FIIL_GS - just the GS are a bit louder and have a bit more midbass. S70 are on my list to try in the next month or so 👍
These ones aren't too bad as they angled the drivers into your ears, but yeah they are not suitable for all applications....same as normal TWS aren't I guess!
@@ReganCipher Looking at the graphs it seems that FIIL GS with bass preset looks the best. But you say the Shokz open air sounds best? The new Shokz open run pro 2 just came out. I'm curious how they stack up.
@h1a8 yeah I like a smoother treble and the OpenFit Air has that. With the bass boost preset it's really nice, GS with their bass preset isn't far behind. I actually prefer the fit of the OpenFit Air over all of them, it's like they were designed perfectly for my ears. The mics aren't great but that seems to be the norm for this type of bud, in bad conditions at least. Shokz asked me about recurring the Openrun 2 but I'm taking a break for a while shortly as I have some exams to study for. Maybe I'll revisit the Shokz one after that
The custom EQ with all bands in 0 db is equal to the default EQ? Or does it just completely reset the DSP like every other Fiil earbud? (I hate the custom EQ on the 2 Fiil i own, it's like a marketing only 10 band EQ)
Sadly, I often get ear infections because of traditional in-ear TWS, so I've been trying this type of open air style, lately. Being a fan of the Fiil T1 Pro and T2 Pro, I'm obviously interested in these and your review was very enlightening and well presented, making me get really close to a purchase on AliExpress. But, before I do so, do you know the difference between this model and the Fiil GS Lite? And are they both supported by the Fiil+ Android app? Thanks!
Thanks! I can't see too many differences other than the case and codec support. GS supports LDAC, GS lite is just AAC/SBC. Looking at the specs on the Chinese FIIL site, it seems to be supported by the app (although since this isn't listed on the main site, I suspect it might only be supported by the Chinese version of the app currently), it has multipoint, it looks like the same carbon fibre drivers and battery life looks about the same too, although I think you've got a bit more with the larger case of the GS Lite
@@ReganCipher I appreciate the reply. I don't like the open case of the GS (though I'm not sure if they come with a silicone sleeve), so that and the cheaper price made me look into the Lite version. I'll see which one I'll get, then. Cheers for the help and keep up the good work!
Thanks for making this review. The binaural sample sound and the comparison is very helpful for me. keep the good work man. Kudos
Thank you, glad you found it useful!
Great review. I had the fiil t1 pro a few years ago and loved them, was gutted when they stopped working
Thank you for another great one! 👍
Thanks Z! 🙌
Thanks for the review. Please review the Fiil Key Pro next. I want to know how good the sub-bass is compared to other half-in ears
No worries! The Key Pro was out of stock when I asked about it, I'll ask again see if I can get it next
Thanks for posting this video

@ Thanks. Hopefully they offer them to you soon. Which one do you prefer in sound quality? Fiil Gs with bass preset or Openrock X default?
I prefer the FIIL, but there's not big differences between these open ear buds. They are all tuned quite similarly and using similar drivers. The OpenRock X were good, but a bit overpriced compared to the FIIL
Any plans for reviewing the shokz openrun pro 2? They added a separate driver for bass.
Interesting! Might give them a try if Shokz offer them - air conduction plus bone conduction is an intriguing concept!
Would you recommend it when I have Soundcore aerofit 2?
Outdoor windy voice test is terrible (a lot of cutoffs)
I have not tried the Aerofit 2, but perhaps you can listen to the call samples I included and judge whether it's better
Which do you think sound better, these or 1more S70 or S50? Thanks for the review

These are tempting but maybe too similar to the open fits, thanks for the review!
Thank you! Yeah they are similar.....and not quite as good IMO, but good for trying this style out I think
Have u tried fill gs for sleeping ?
Comfortable?
Volume level low enough?
They stick out too much for sleeping 😢
@ReganCipher ow the form factor ya... that's sticking out more likely makes the sound more full inside the ears
The only thing I don't like about these style of earphones is that others can hear what you are listening to 😢. Other than that, they are very useful.

Thank you! I'll check the EQ this weekend 👍
Hows the sound quality compare to tozo openbuds?
Not tried the Tozo sorry
