Beautiful song ...I found my Sunny Boy in Arizona on vacation. They told me he was hanging around the this lodge for a month. He was so skinny and in need of help. I had no room the the truck to take him...we were camping outdoors. I came back home to Wyoming switch cars and turned right around to find him.The lodge told me if he didn't leave they were going to take him to the desert. I found laying around were I stayed. He is a great boy ...we found each other. We are grateful to have him in our lives. He will never have to be lonely or go hungry again. He has a forever home...

I was driving back from the place in the country,with my 🐦🐕🐕🐕🐕 got about 30 minutes from town at 11:30 pm.Saw a man limping on the exit ramp 😢I had 2 go 2 next exit n go back,but he disappeared? I was just going 2 give $ n some bottled water.So go 2 get back on & c this 🐕 that was bones n her girls were almost touching the ground? I'd never seen them do low.I had zero room. My dogs are 65 60 23 n travel bird cage takes up half the seat😮.Have Acura MDX SUV n not that spacious. Anyway tried 2 find her pups by now it's 12:30 not much lighting at ALL.And shady guys keep circling n asking me ....u sure u don't need help? I'm 6 ft blonde n guys are MORON'S 😳.Not all, but 98%🤭.I go back 2 the car n get my Gurl,Shotgun! Loaded n ready🤪! Next time they drove by,they said Damn girl! U got a big gun🫣 I said yup, n they said ok have a good night! 😅😅😅 A friend kept calling n saying go home! I had no room.My big 🐕 were smashed in (found them on the streets they know the drill)finally got her in n start driving away n she leaps from right behind me into my lap😮.Took 3 frigging times.Drove back out the next day( took 4 ever with traffic on I-10) no babies 😢😢😢😢😢 Found this lil building that said Vet! Went in n lady said they dump mama's after so many pregnancies??? 👺👺She's now 95lbs 😵💫Her name is Brindle n she's part Pitt 😮! Gentle as a lamb,unless she's eating!🤪! Had her 7 years this month! We adopted our dog Gracie from an animal shelter. She was the one that nobody wanted!! And what wonderful dog she was. She was smart and oh so Grateful!! She was eight years old and lived for another five years. I still cry when I think about how loving she was. These dogs are special!!

I lost my babyboy pomchi "Taz" in August and it's still ripping my heart out. I Love him and miss him so bad that not a moment goes by I don't think of his angel face and huge heart. Not sure if I'm gonna make it or not, I have severe anxiety, depression and emotional problems. He was my only friend of 12 years. Please pray for me
Today, you save a dog's life in a shelter, tomorrow he can save your life and that of your family, without thinking twice, because, unlike us human beings, rational animals, they are generous and not us they require almost nothing but a little care, shelter and food.

Back in 2011, I went into a PetSmart to get kitty liter to keep in my car trunk for winter emergencies. I hadn't intended to get a dog. But they were having an adoption fair. It was at the end of the day and they were about to close up. They still had a few dogs and cats left who had not been claimed. There in a pen was this 3 month old black Labrador mix puppy. Long story short: He came home with me. He was my best buddy until he died a few months ago due to neurological problems. I miss my Baxter every day.
I rescued from the age of 11. I joined the Navy at age 17. I've been to Italy Spain Greece where I still reduced. All my little fur babies today are rescues. It shouldn't be that way. Just two kitties and two tiny dogs. I will never let them go. I am so wiped out but if yr wiped out it means you did it right. My soul is at peace as I look into thier eyes. They have every thing they need. I'm there for them. I hold them. I talk to them and they hear me. All creatures great and small. The God bless them all. They have Christmas stockings. They have Easter baskets. They make me smile.💖💖💖💖💖💖. If yr not ready and you have a creepy pain in the ass child don't have a pet. THEY ARE NOT HERE TO BE PUNCHING BAGS FOR FOR KIDS!!!! Teach yr children to be responsible with pets. They are small and helpless. Put the bottle down and be a parent!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh! We’ve adopted a lot of dogs & I wish I knew of this song. We just added another beautiful soul to our family. It’s been 8 months & she’s still skittish. I don’t know what happened to her but I’m still working with her. It makes me want to cry. They say dogs can understand 240-250 words & I believe it! I told her one day while she was slinking on the floor that I’m a Good Mama & that I will Never Hurt Her. Since that day she has come around more. She looked up at me and I Hope she knows it! Thank you for this. We've rescued for a long time. We just lost our last rescue this past week. His name was Bear, most Bama fans have a Bear too. He was 14 almost 15 & we knew he was going down fast. The last few weeks he could barely get up & down but bless my husband's heart, he'd pick up that big ole wooly dog & tote him to where he wanted. Yes we could have had him put down but he wasn't in pain much & we vowed to keep him comfortable & happy right up to the end. The Vet gave us something to end it at home & we finally did. I sent out the family chain text to the kids & grands saying Farewell to The Bear with his baby picture & the last picture. Oh my husband is 75 so picking Bear up wasn't easy & I'm handicapped so no help. We hauled him all the way to Arkansas the week before he passed. Granddaughter's college graduation & we weren't boarding him. We stayed at pet friendly places. He was nice & cold the way he liked it but they all came out to our hotel to see Bear one more time. He's now buried in our family cemetery we made long ago for all our four legged children. He was going to Charlotte last week for the other Granddaughter's graduation from high school. He missed that trip. We now have two beautiful little black & white Papillions. One is a seizure alert for me & we just got our other one yesterday as a companion for him. She's a dainty little six pounder fully grown. She came from a breeder were we got mine but we asked if she had an older dog female that for some ŕeason she couldn't sell because we didn't want another puppy & she said she had the perfect little girl, a year old, that wasn't show quality so they knew she'd fit just right for us. She does. Her name is Tinker, she was already named, but they look just like siblings but she's not from the same lineage. They kept me company this morning because I've been sick for awhile now. I go to church when I can, but sometimes I can't do it. Again thank you from another loving Fur baby mama..
In 3 years I had to help 3 of my dogs start their next adventures. They were 21, 14 and 23 and when I locked eyes with 21 yo Tucker, this will sound strange, I heard a voice in my heart. Tucker said "Mom, each time you have to let one of us go, please pass your love to another one of us who needs you. I know you wish God would let us all live longer to always be with you, but He gave us shorter lives so you can share your love with so many more than just one of us, in your lifetime. You've loved me, Harley and Magnum our whole lives and given us such good ones. Please give that same love to another one who needs you when I'm gone and I'll see you again soon Mom, I love you". I've kept that in my heart and I will never shop, I only rescue and I've adopted 3 since helping my 3 other boys start their next adventures (they go on new adventures, because I say a pet never really dies ☺️🩷). I hope my "pups insight" can help somebody else along the way. I adopted Cantu right after Tucker left and realized they passed on the bridge about the same time and Cantu has many of Tuckers traits. Sometimes I wonder if Tuckers next adventure was becoming Cantu 😉☺️

When I first heard this song, I’d just adopted my Louie, and six months into his life, the song is even truer than it was when he was a tiny baby. I’m hoping he can become my mobility dog someday, but in the meantime, he has ALREADY saved me many times over, and in so many ways, first from the heartbreak of my precious Yoda’s premature death at six, of mass cell tumors, and then, from my self destructive horrible health habits. Recently, I realized my boy needed double the exercise sessions, and he’s getting me into much better shape to face, and deal with my neurological and autoimmune disorders, which are progressive, but function along the lines of “move it or lose it”. I refused to fight for myself, and my precious pug, Yoda, didn’t need much exercise, or want it, so I just…didn’t do more than he asked for, and my health got worse. Fighting for my boy is the most natural and simple thing in the world, even though it is physically challenging. He gave me that reason to fight, and to keep moving forward, not simply in a circle. He really is saving my life, one step at a time, just as my beautiful collie, Leah, did several years ago, when she pulled me out of the ditch I fell down, and just as Yoda helped me come out of the deep depression that followed her loss. Beautiful song and message all around! They really do give us purpose and a voice!

But I take comfort in knowing that I adopted them both from neglectful and abusive situations. They were HAPPY, SPOILED ROTTEN AND ENTITLED, yet so appreciative for being afforded a better life. I adopted my best friend 4 years ago. I had to put him up for foster care 3 months ago and it still breaks my heart. I'm chronicly homeless and he couldn't handle it. He has a forever home with his new parents. His name is Whiskey. He will always be a good boy

lovely song i have always had rescues Blackie Eden Jake all live to grand old age now have gone to Rainbow Bridge but filled our lives with love and joy for many years. We now have a dog called Benji and a horse called Shilo who was in an awful state when we got her but is now blooming again and is a beautiful horse .I would always say rescue and please don't forget about the older dogs they need love too

For every show. I was on the Coffee House Committee. One of Bruce Nash's crew(I may still have my T shirt from the committee). I was hurt bad in the Army later and lost some of my memory. I still remember something of a trilogy that you laughingly called "Sing a Song of Stuckey's". You held the audience's attention when you played. You and Don Bowerman gave the best performances while I was there '72 to '75. I remember after your first night Bruce said that he wanted to get you to do a show per semester(we only did 4 per semester). He took a bit of flack from the Student Union professional staff for using local talent instead of the "approved" circuit performers. Everybody that I recall, thought that you and our other local talent were much better than the circuit performers.

Thank you. I'm not on any of the social media. I'm a geezer that goes on UA-cam but, that is most of my online activity. It was UA-cam that recommended "When I found You". I recognized your name and then some lost memories came back. If you are still in CT(I am 20 miles from UCONN), please be very careful about the ticks. Half of them are infected with any of 7 diseases now. They are killing and crippling people and animals. Some of the diseases have developed resistance to antibiotics. Helping to rescue animals is getting dangerous. I've had Lymes 5 times and Anaplasmosis twice. I was lucky and caught all of them early. Unfortunately, our 3 Newfies and my wife died from tick bites. I'm on a bit of a crusade to warn people about the ticks and their diseases. Please warn your friends. I am curious how much of my memory is still there. Did you do "Sing a Song of Stuckey's" which I thought was a trilogy of songs about the open road. The previous summer(1973), I had driven and camped from CT to Yellowstone to Utah and home. The songs caught my attention and I remember identifying with much of them. One of the unfortunate things for performers is that they usually have no idea how much they have touched peoples lives. They create a lot more than they get back(unlike the Beatles"The End"). Many times in my life, music of all kinds and characters from movies provided me with the inspiration and motivation to keep going when it got bad. Its a shame that they don't know it.
My Baby Jax was not my first choice - I searched for a younger dog - when he arrived here from Romania he looked dirty and he smelled unbelieveble. He feared everything, jumped on tables, destroyed my room...and he didnt like me. It took weeks until he (and me) realized, that we belong together. That was 12 years ago. Since then we became a team - in good and bad times - loving each other, trusting each other, holding each other...he is sitting next to me and I celebrate every day, that I can spend with him. Never I will regret the decision to have adopted him!

I, remember when I was, sent to another Forster home', I was, so so lucky to have had a new, mom, and dad they had a beautiful angel dog, they got, for their, son, who was killed in very bad, car wreck I loved 😍, his dog, I will call Sunny boy! I loved him so much!!! He, was always waiting for me to get off, the school 🚌🚌🚌🚌, I didn't know why, he would just run, off ? I was so lost with out him, but as I got, older, I realize he, don't run away he was old,23 year's old 🗝️🗝️🗝️, I still cry some times, about, missing, him what beautiful memories, thank u my sweet little brother, sunny boy!!! I know that I will see u, again!!❤.

She came from a breeder were we got mine but we asked if she had an older dog female that for some ŕeason she couldn't sell because we didn't want another puppy & she said she had the perfect little girl, a year old, that wasn't show quality so they knew she'd fit just right for us. She does. Her name is Tinker, she was already named, but they look just like siblings but she's not from the same lineage. They kept me company this morning because I've been sick for awhile now. I go to church when I can, but sometimes I can't do it. Again thank you from another loving Fur baby mama..

In 3 years I had to help 3 of my dogs start their next adventures. They were 21, 14 and 23 and when I locked eyes with 21 yo Tucker, this will sound strange, I heard a voice in my heart. Tucker said "Mom, each time you have to let one of us go, please pass your love to another one of us who needs you. I know you wish God would let us all live longer to always be with you, but He gave us shorter lives so you can share your love with so many more than just one of us, in your lifetime. You've loved me, Harley and Magnum our whole lives and given us such good ones. Please give that same love to another one who needs you when I'm gone and I'll see you again soon Mom, I love you".
I've kept that in my heart and I will never shop, I only rescue and I've adopted 3 since helping my 3 other boys start their next adventures (they go on new adventures, because I say a pet never really dies ☺️🩷).
I hope my "pups insight" can help somebody else along the way.
I adopted Cantu right after Tucker left and realized they passed on the bridge about the same time and Cantu has many of Tuckers traits. Sometimes I wonder if Tuckers next adventure was becoming Cantu 😉☺️

When I first heard this song, I’d just adopted my Louie, and six months into his life, the song is even truer than it was when he was a tiny baby. I’m hoping he can become my mobility dog someday, but in the meantime, he has ALREADY saved me many times over, and in so many ways, first from the heartbreak of my precious Yoda’s premature death at six, of mass cell tumors, and then, from my self destructive horrible health habits.
Recently, I realized my boy needed double the exercise sessions, and he’s getting me into much better shape to face, and deal with my neurological and autoimmune disorders, which are progressive, but function along the lines of “move it or lose it”. I refused to fight for myself, and my precious pug, Yoda, didn’t need much exercise, or want it, so I just…didn’t do more than he asked for, and my health got worse. Fighting for my boy is the most natural and simple thing in the world, even though it is physically challenging. He gave me that reason to fight, and to keep moving forward, not simply in a circle. He really is saving my life, one step at a time, just as my beautiful collie, Leah, did several years ago, when she pulled me out of the ditch I fell down, and just as Yoda helped me come out of the deep depression that followed her loss.

Here I am, three years later, with my boy by my side, and proudly wearing his ESA vest. He really HAS saved me, so many more times than I can count.

Thank you for this comforting song!! I've lost both of my fur babies of 14 years all within 3 months of each other. Oct 2019 & TODAY 😥. I'm so broken 💔 there aren't enough words to express. But I take comfort in knowing that I adopted them both from neglectful and abusive situations. They were HAPPY, SPOILED ROTTEN AND ENTITLED, yet so appreciative for being afforded a better life. I adopted my best friend 4 years ago. I had to put him up for foster care 3 months ago and it still breaks my heart. I'm chronicly homeless and he couldn't handle it. He has a forever home with his new parents. His name is Whiskey. He will always be a good boy

lovely song i have always had rescues Blackie Eden Jake all live to grand old age now have gone to Rainbow Bridge but filled our lives with love and joy for many years. We now have a dog called Benji and a horse called Shilo who was in an awful state when we got her but is now blooming again and is a beautiful horse .I would always say rescue and please don't forget about the older dogs they need love too

For every show. I was on the Coffee House Committee. One of Bruce Nash's crew(I may still have my T shirt from the committee). I was hurt bad in the Army later and lost some of my memory. I still remember something of a trilogy that you laughingly called "Sing a Song of Stuckey's". You held the audience's attention when you played.
You and Don Bowerman gave the best performances while I was there '72 to '75. I remember after your first night Bruce said that he wanted to get you to do a show per semester(we only did 4 per semester). He took a bit of flack from the Student Union professional staff for using local talent instead of the "approved" circuit performers. Everybody that I recall, thought that you and our other local talent were much better than the circuit performers.

Thank you. I'm not on any of the social media. I'm a geezer that goes on UA-cam but, that is most of my online activity. It was UA-cam that recommended "When I found You". I recognized your name and then some lost memories came back.
If you are still in CT(I am 20 miles from UCONN), please be very careful about the ticks. Half of them are infected with any of 7 diseases now. They are killing and crippling people and animals. Some of the diseases have developed resistance to antibiotics. Helping to rescue animals is getting dangerous. I've had Lymes 5 times and Anaplasmosis twice. I was lucky and caught all of them early. Unfortunately, our 3 Newfies and my wife died from tick bites. I'm on a bit of a crusade to warn people about the ticks and their diseases. Please warn your friends.
I am curious how much of my memory is still there. Did you do "Sing a Song of Stuckey's" which I thought was a trilogy of songs about the open road. The previous summer(1973), I had driven and camped from CT to Yellowstone to Utah and home. The songs caught my attention and I remember identifying with much of them.
One of the unfortunate things for performers is that they usually have no idea how much they have touched peoples lives. They create a lot more than they get back(unlike the Beatles"The End"). Many times in my life, music of all kinds and characters from movies provided me with the inspiration and motivation to keep going when it got bad. Its a shame that they don't know it.

My Baby Jax was not my first choice - I searched for a younger dog - when he arrived here from Romania he looked dirty and he smelled unbelieveble. He feared everything, jumped on tables, destroyed my room...and he didnt like me. It took weeks until he (and me) realized, that we belong together. That was 12 years ago. Since then we became a team - in good and bad times - loving each other, trusting each other, holding each other...he is sitting next to me and I celebrate every day, that I can spend with him. Never I will regret the decision to have adopted him!

I, remember when I was, sent to another Forster home', I was, so so lucky to have had a new, mom, and dad they had a beautiful angel dog, they got, for their, son, who was killed in very bad, car wreck I loved 😍, his dog, I will call Sunny boy! I loved him so much!!! He, was always waiting for me to get off, the school 🚌🚌🚌🚌, I didn't know why, he would just run, off ? I was so lost with out him, but as I got, older, I realize he, don't run away he was old,23 year's old 🗝️🗝️🗝️, I still cry some times, about, missing, him what beautiful memories, thank u my sweet little brother, sunny boy!!! I know that I will see u, again!!❤.
