The note at the end was “May a unique starlight fill your life”. Just a little backstory- this was a song that Hwasa and logo had been working on for 5 years. It was finally something they were ready to put out, so I think that’s part of why it released on Logos’ channel. Also, to clarify, Logos was the one on the piano that added the vocals in the second verse. I thought he was on the guitar at first, too. Lol
I absolutely LOVE this song. Hwa Sa's voice was made for ballads, even though she thinks it isn't. Her voice is luscious, and rich and has such warmth that makes it perfect for ballads, as well as she makes you FEEL every word she sings, and it doesn't matter if you don't understand, or speak her language. Her voice is also perfect for so many other genre's, but that is because she is such an amazing Artist, and Vocalist, who knows how to use her talent. Just something to think about.
I don't really worry about labeling song structure usually, but I'd call the Star Star part at the end an outro, though given that it's the climax rather than trailing off that's not really right either. I think of the vibrant city...don't worry about me part that's repeated to be the chorus. I agree that the Logos/Hwasa combination is always amazing.
Yea. It’s kinda like they ended on a bridge instead of one last chorus. But it feels right for this song. Cause it’s left on an uncertain note, like she’s doing ok, but will she ever be able to truly move on or will she keep living in this world with one less star.
I can see why you'd be cautious after a copyright strike but any strike or block on Star would have nothing to do with Hwasa's membership in MMM since, as you know, she's under P Nation and Star is on the Logos channel. Never heard of anyone getting a copyright strike on an RBW MV before now but (insert rant about RBW suckage). There's lots to love about Star but unfortunately it's not a very memorable song and I think more needed to happen when the bass & drums came in - the last section seems too short. Btw, on the recording (but not the MV) I'm pretty sure the guitarist switches from a nylon string classical guitar to a steel string acoustic on the chorus so there's actually an extra instrument change along with the addition of more and more instruments as the track progresses.
