Trading bots are mostly scams... but there are exceptions. You just need a lot a patience to backtest and run many bots, discard the ones that are scams and keep playing with the ones that are good. EDIT: since so many of you ask, yes I use Galileo FX .. .

In my opinion, All assets price are unstable and not all are good in doing technical analysis. So the chances of wrong entry are high leading to more loss than wins which has been the case with newbies jumping into exchanges to make gains.

Wow....I used this strategy for past 20 years, doing it by hand, it's part of the 'market makers' handbook on supplying asset classes and taking spreads, and here it's called 'grid'. Amazing I even came across this video. Too bad you get very little control over the algorithm, I've tried for years attempting to hire programmers to make a versatile bot with this ability, not even a quote price....oh well.
I'm a programmer and I've been making bots that work with the Indian stock market. I still don't understand this strategy. From my limited understanding so far, when the price crosses the upper or lower limit, you're gonna exit the bot with a large loss. I might make a bot for myself using this strategy once I actually understand it 😅

The problem with this grid bot and I know it may be obvious to some, but if you buy into this when you believe the market looks good and then it goes down the bot hasn’t had the chance to buy so you automatically end up in the red until the market turns around, at this stage I personally prefer arbitrage it appears to be less rewarding short term but you see more green.

You can turn it off, I use the app on my iPhone and it still runs. I check in everyday to see how it’s doing and with draw the profits only so the bots keep trading for you
You can turn your computer off. Its done over the internet its not independently connected to your computer. I have one running myself and I turn my computer and cell phone off all the time and its still working just fine.

I'm really late to the party but just in case you might see it in notifications or some shit or haven't had your answer yet no. A cold wallet isn't cold when it's doing transactions it temporarily becomes "hot" as it connects to your computer in order to send transactions over the internet. And returns cold when you unplug it. Leaving it in would defeat the purpose of it being cold.
How about the fee? does it trade with an enought marging to not overpay the fee?
