That was nice thank you!!!!....My father is Warren "Pete" Moore of The Miracles....He sang and Co-wrote this song...He is one of the most humble and kind- hearted person you could have ever known. I miss him every day. Infinite Love and Blessings to all.
#1 - "Love Machine" (1975) "Love Machine" is the most-used song in Motown history and has generated more than $15 million in revenues. Many thought The Miracles were washed up when Smokey departed in 1972, but the group bounced back in 1975 with the biggest record of their career. New lead singer Billy Griffin (L) and veteran Warren "Pete" Moore (R) co-wrote the kick ass dance tune with Freddie Perren producing.
They bounced back mighty hard too, because the music hit the world with a mighty crash, and their hits came out with a real hard thud, which was good! go Miracles go Miracles go Miracles go!
I love records like that, just when people think a group has run their course and then they come back with an even bigger smash than before, from the first time l heard “Love Machine” I always thought and felt the song/music hit hard, that’s one reason why people love the music so much, not only is the music incredible but it hits the floor, these were the early days of disco, people wanted to dance and this song even in these days does just that, it gives people a reason to dance. I truly believe Smokey Robinson never wanted the Miracles to die even if he moved on, hence he personally picked Billy Griffin as his replacement. He knew Griffin was the one and all the Miracles needed was the right song to bring them back. Love Machine along with Do it Baby where the two songs that did it. I dig stories behind the music like this.
Peace be with you always , my Brother. ...May u n ur family and all of mankind remain SAFE AS we maneuver through these interesting CORONA TIMES...HAPPY SATURDAY. ..NOTHING LIKE 70S & 80'S MUSIC. ..
1975 I was fifteen years old when this song was out Love Machine by The Miracles. Everyone was jamming off this song as well. Even my household members were dancing as well and played that song to death!!!
High school days, and this popular song captured many in 1975. Definitely a House party / DISCO favorite. I only wish the Miracles would have survived as a group. Tremendous moments with this magnetic classic.
I was 11years old when this song came out this is when music was good love me some miracles smokey was the man love me some smokey wish we was still back in the 70s and 80s
Fo' Sho'... 1975 was great. I lived in the South Bronx and used to go see the Yankees play for just 6 bux. This song was played out on the airwaves all summer long on WPLJ 95.5.

Banging iconic track from 1975 awesome this was ground breaking single disco dance funk soul pop !!! Pure class this remix really good this was massive all over no 1 in USA UK !!!this is a Saturday night floor filler in any bar disco the 70s was a brilliant era for all different kinds of music !!!
Rip : Don Griffin (195 - September 3 2015) brother of lead singer Billy Griffin who had replaced Smokey Robinson, he was the guitarist on this song which was thier second No 1, and biggest hit, selling over 4.5 milliion copies
Sounds like the Miracles all recorded this early one morning after a very good night sleep, because listen to how great they sound in this version of Love Machine! The synth sounds towards the end, all that wiewp wiewp wiewp noise coming from that synthisizer made me feel all warm inside! Dj Disco cat, Meow purr Meow to you, which means thanks for putting this on UA-cam for us!
Yup! That and a big bowl of cheereos and Honey and a nice ripe Banana would do, not too ripe, but ripe enough that it's got some sweetness. I don't like to taste any green in my bananas! No way shucks no way!
Smokey Robinson left the Miracles, we thought they were finished, but then came a young and cool brother called Bill Griffin and that's when the Miracles continue with Love Machine, forty-two years ago.
On the way back from a trip to Virginia, satellite radio played”Do it Baby”and I’m re-introduced to the Miracles and happy about the whole thing,I’d forgotten how hot Billy Griffin was!❤️🔥
My husband Kevin Beamish's first Mix as an engineer, which propelled him into the world of rock and roll, R&B, and then well, just about everything you can remember. I was 18 with my stack heels and dancing with the neon lights!
It was always a testimony to the group's confidence that they had a hit on their hands when they allowed a knockout, stone-cold, instrumental jam to kick off at some point in the song....this is great example...in fact, the original album cut is even better.
On this day in 1975 {December 20th} the Miracles performed "Love Machine" on Dick Clark ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... At the time the song was at #34 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, eleven weeks later it would peak at #1 {for 1 week} and it spent over a half-year on the Top 100 {28 weeks}... It reached #5 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart... "Love Machine" would be the Miracles last Top 100 record, between 1959 and 1975 the group had forty-six records on the Top 100 chart, seven made the Top 10 with two* reaching #1, besides "Love Machine", their other #1 record was "The Tears of A Clown", for two weeks on December 6th, 1970... Two of the original members of the Miracle have passed away, Ronnie White on August 26th, 1995 at age 56 and guitarist Marv Tarplin died on September 30th, 2011 at age 70... May they both R.I.P. * They just missed having a third #1 record when "Shop Around" peaked at #2 {for 1 week} in 1960, the week it was at #2, the #1 record for that week was "Calcutta" by Lawrence Welk and his Orchestra...
BILLY GRIFFIN & THE MIRACLES Singer-Songwriter Billy Griffin is the only surviving member of the post-Smokey Robinson led Miracles. He sang lead, wrote songs and brought fresh raw sexual energy to the classic soul group.
The Miracles 2:25 hit the jackpot after Smokey left the group . The Miracles grabbed Billy Griffin for the lead . Billy’s voice was so similar to Smokey Robinson .
This is my favorite Miracles' new song. It reminds me of my first favorite subway train in New York City in 1969. This song is de "bomb!" DJDiscoCat, you did another nice job.

I regret to see that your cousin died. The absence is disdainful enough to spoil the joy of this song.

Oh, yeah
La-La la la la-La la la la-La la
La la la la la-La la la-La laaaaaaaaa
I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you
Yeah, baby, I'm just a love machine
A hugging kissing fiend
I think it's high time you knew
Whenever I think of you
My mind blows a fuse
When I look in your eyes
My meter starts to rise
And I become confused
My motor cranked electric goes
When I'm sitting next to you
Electricity starts to flow
And my indicator starts to glow
I, I, I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you
I'm just a love machine, yeah, baby
A hugging kissing fiend
La-La la la la-La la la la-La la
La la la la la-La la la-La laaaaaaaaa
I, I, I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you
I'm just a love machine, yeah, baby
A hugging kissing fiend
I'm gentle as a lamb
I'm not that hard to program
There's no way that you can lose
Chassis fits like a glove
I've got a button for love
That you've got to use (push it, push it baby)
If you look into my power
I am sure you can find out how
To turn me on just set my dial
And let me love you for a little while, ooooooh
I, I, I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you
I'm just a love machine, yeah, baby
A hugging kissing fiend
La-La la la la-La la la la-La la
La la la la la-La la la-La laaaaaaaaa
Push it push it baby, aaaaaah
I, I, I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you
I'm just a love machine, (yeah, baby)
A hugging kissing fiend, (ah, ah)
I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you
I'm just a love machine, (he, baby)
A hugging kissing fiend
