Robert Alter, The Psalms as Literature

Robert Alter reads and comments on selected psalms, including Psalms 8, 13, 69, 90, and 104. This lecture launched our spring 2022 community seminar series, "Shakespeare's Psalms." It is a blessing that such a talented man graced with the gifts of God would apply his industry to a new and innovative translation of the Hebrew Bible. I thank God for his hard work, and gifts to the Church and all of Man. I pray that Robert Alter is filled with the Holy Spirit, for I fear he does not view Scripture as inspired. God bless this child of God, who has given so much to the believing world in the 21st century.
