    @violinistx100 I have never seen this at Townsend. I know they did in Western NC when I was growing up but I can't remember why - something to do with the sound, I think. I'll have to ask my Dad.

    Do any of your pickers put a rattlesnake tail in their instrument? I've seen people do it and I'm wondering why.
