The chagos islands were uninhabited originally. The people there were workers for plantations and didn’t own the land. With no work after the plantation closed , no way of making a living and not owning the islands, living on the islands really was a no go!

not really. at all. Kahoʻolawe had less than 130 people on it at it's peak. Hawaii is majority non-Hawaiin because they let in lots of Asians, they had a Japanese town not a Chinatown. But still Chinese make up the most nowadays. Your issues come from elsewhere. White people aren't a majority there and never have been. The open Asian invitation has always been a prime stopping point for Asians wanting to explore America. I think those people could not survive without outside help. Send them back and come back 3 years later. They would have died of thirst. They couldn't support themselves. Those people are living just as they would have, if no country intervened on that island. Send them back and see how they get along. They have no idea how it was before they left. The big countries were the reason anybody was there. Those people are just looking for easy money and a handout.

I can dig up plenty of things that Indians did to White people and atrocities that black Africans have committed against Whites, or Japanese to our envoys, but ruminating on that stuff doesn't aid in the continuation of civilization and forgiveness does more for ourselves. Diego Garcia only had people on the Island because the French and British brought them. Then the British removed them. Now, it is a strategic US military base.

Some of the land may not even be safe to live or farm on now that the military has been there.
There’s coconut trees everywhere. That’s all the Chagossians really planted when they lived there. Coconuts for copra. The Brits allow the Chagossians to visit every 3-6 months on “culture tours”. You know what’s sad? Their old village/plantation area is at the far end of the island and they clean up the chapel and the run down houses whenever they visit the island. That area is actually pretty isolated from main facilities like the big pier or the airfield. So they could’ve been allowed to stay and it wouldn’t have interfered with military operations. There’s also hundreds of contractors from the Philippines who don’t have security clearances, and they work in the restaurants or do the utility maintenance. The Chagossians could’ve easily done those jobs. There’s a water recreation center where you can rent a wind surfboard or a canoe. It’s never crowded. A Chagossian could be doing that job instead of the funny, drunk Filipino contractor that’s always there.
Honestly, I think the Cold War U.S. government may have had big plans for the island originally but then changed their mind and built fewer buildings and infrastructure instead.

The Chagossians were not native inhabitants. They were brought to the archipelago by the French in the late 18th century. No family inhabited the area for more than ~170 years consecutively, under both French and British rule.
So ironically, there would be no Chagossians if it wasn't for colonization.
The displaced population has received financial compensation on two occasions in the 70's and 80's, and received British citizenship.
How long does a population have to live at a certain location to be considered "native"? I'd say a century and a half (five or six generations) of continuous habitation creates a moral right to the land, even if it cannot be enforced legally under international law.

As for the islands, it's really nothing more than sand right now. The largest island Diego could support agriculture or coconut plantations but it's occupied by people with nukes.
Meanwhile, Chagossian Mauritians fought to get the island back. And Chagossian Mauritians fought to become British citizens, get reparations and get away from the islands.

Truth be told, these people wernt indigenous to that island , they were brought there 150 years ago from Mauritius and Madagascar to work on plantations on Diego Garcia Island in the Chagos Island group which was uninhabited when the British claimed the islands. Mauritius as you said also agreed to there return to where they originated from. Probably the best solution would've been to relocate them to another island or islands in the Chagos archipelago or give them proper financial compensation in Mauritius , nothing more. In the 1970s The B.I.O.T was halved in size when several (closer) islands were given to Mauritius or Seycheles like Desroches I. and Aldabra Is.

Yep, basically they were farm workers brought there to harvest coconuts who lived in houses owned by the company that owned the coconut plantation. The coconut company sold the land on the island to the British government to build a joint US/UK military base. The British government obviously did not need contract farm workers so they removed them from the Island.
You know you have to try to keep yourself from oppressing, persecuting and doing crime to others beyond limit as much as you can. And doing it beyond what you can compensate for it is something which you have to completely and certainly avoid at any cost. You don't know whether and when your humanity and conscience will regain control of you over your desire, ego and the devil. You know at least if you are lucky enough to have The Mercy of Your Lord to regret your sin and crime after committing such unspeakable crime against humanity, at least you must be sure it must be within in a range that you can willingly and sincerely compensate for it adequately and earn the forgiveness of your victim. Otherwise, you might not be happy in this world too despite your great power and wealth. What was done in Diego Garcia to these people is something beyond compensation but at least there are some alive to forgive their oppressor to the dismay of the devil, still there is a chance to win for humanity.
I never thought especially The US could do such a crime against humanity no matter what the material reward is even when it isn't as something as so essential for survival. For me dropping the nukes in Hiroshima and Nagasaki doesn't even come closer in tragedy compared to what happened to The Chagossian People.
