I stumbled on the channel a long time ago. I always enjoyed a good story, and multi part ones have been my favorite. I dont know whether I'd listen to multiple parts instantly or when part two drops. I usually listen to them on my rides to and from work. Thirty minute drives, basically. But I love it when i get to listen to them on rides from work at night along the woodsy path.
They said one of them had a connection with someone in the military logistics that told them but also they heard rumors from the beginning which could’ve been from word of mouth from people who escaped or had someone in the military tell them too

Oh there's no doubt the government would lie in the midst of a disaster. Either to hide their incompetence or to calm people down. It would be virtually impossible, using their advice to get prepared. In Britain during WW2, they made everyone execute their pets FFS! That's why I trust no one with my future welfare.
I thought the story would be much more interesting given it’s title. Feels like any generic zombie movie to me :/ Would be much more interesting if the turn wasn’t binary, so people would turn into violent zombies, bite someone in the group and then turn back into themselves. That would really change the morality if killing a zombie, and the main character could be infected right from the start without the story having to end, he just has blackouts now and then when he goes zombie. Though I do like pretty much all apocalypse stories, just expected something novel based on the name.

Nah. It was specified that they were luring survivors out with the promise of medicine, shelter, food, and protection. The survivors themselves had to COME to them. Only the visibly abandoned houses were broken in to by the military, and I would say that they were aware of where some survivors were but wary of their potential defenses or how they would react if forcibly removed. They might be military, but military members can still succumb to mortal injuries that highly panicked civilians might cause when in a fight-flight-freeze scenario. There's likely further concerns that there could be an infected hiding within during an early stage of it, too, who were shown to be quite durable, or that the 'average civilian' might actually have any number of violent or physically strenuous jobs or hobbies and one hell of a fight instinct, lmao. I nearly clicked off because of your comment, but I'm glad I didn't. It's well written from the psychological and practical aspects of a situation like this, and the narrator is quite engaging.

Not someone you want to watch your back, thats for sure.
This story is unfortunately either very poorly written or it's AI with it going back on details frequently or having massive holes in the plot (for example. like if the military are taking people away after they declared the town a quarantine zone, then yeah of course they won't be returning you aren't going to put people back in a zone full of infected if your goal is to eradicate it) no hate to the narrator if this is a story someone else wrote but it's painful to listen to at points
