For sure. He catches a lot of flack from the fanbase and I don't get it. JR is trying to bring the best out of the commentators and the talent. He's been in the business a long time and they'd do well to listen to him.
Most famously when Excaliber said its the butcher and the blade! And JR asked who are they and Excalibur just kept saying the butcher and the blade. He was trying to get Excalibur to give their backstory, where they came from etc.
Imo Excalibur (which I do like) is the weakest link in AEW right now. He's improving for sure, but with JR, Tony and now Tazz on commentary, I feel he will be lost in the shuffle for awhile

Everyone knows they’re working together but the fight is supposed to look real. In real life, a person would have checked, double checked, and triple checked that shit. Cody didn’t even look. That moonsault is how every catch spot should be. I would like to see less obvious spot checking. Like guys standing outside the ring ready to catch a high spot, but not obviously standing there waiting for it.

There was a monitor in that corner if you can see it on the replay. However could of still turned out bad what a moonsault though.
That's what made this all much more sweeter. Wardlow also still looks good because it took that moonsault to take him down, not a Cross-Rhodes. Personally, that was my fear when I saw the stipulation was he needed to win the match, not just have it.
The ref did help Wardlow get up a bit, but it can be chocked up to checking on him after the Cross-Rhodes.

Seriously am i the only one that finds this company and the programming are terrible? It's basically TNA all over again, with ex WWE midcarders and old time has beens coming themselves like they're gods gift to the business. All while burying their young talent that they should be helping to build up and make starts to carry them forward, looking after they can't perform anymore. This is self congratulatory felacio at its finest.
@Tha Real Mccoy oh god, don't even get me started on the WWE and old timers. Lol but about people watching, aew is basically getting the same ratings and attendance that TNA did (at first). The difference is that AEW was smart and didn't put their unproven show up against either of the WWE's flagship shows. If they were on Mondays or Fridays and getting the numbers they're currently getting vs. Raw or Smackdown, and getting the attendance they've been getting; TNT would have dropped them and we'd all be talking about what went wrong

@@rebel0334 I listen to a lot bands, whether they are mainstream or underground, loved or hated. Slipknot, Korn, System of a down, Rammstein and Metallica are my top 5 favorite bands. I also like rap and hip-hop, but only between the 80's and early 2000's. Eminem, Necro, Ill Bill, Mr. Hyde, and Ice Cube are my top 5 favorite rappers. If you never heard of Necro, I recommend you to listen to his songs. He does death rap/horrorcore and was inspired by some metal bands. Mr. Hyde and Ill Bill also does death rap.

What is so different is the added layers of emotion and proper selling. Everything is optimized. The storytelling in the ring grips my attention. I'm so badly rooting for this incredibly refreshing wrestling promotion.
What's crazy is when Cody was in the WWE I never cared for him even Dustin and that was because of how they were booked and the storylines they were in. But seeing how much Cody has grown after leaving and then his brother killing it everytime he steps in that ring goes to show how much WWE holds back their talent. Such an amazing show last night.

Really I love legacy and I loved dashing Cody. Dashing Cody was a legit gimmick for the PG era.

This is one of those matches where no one really looks weaker. It built Cody as a resilient wrestler. It build Wardlow as a monster heel and was only able to be defeated with extraordinary measures that won’t always be in place.

Seriously? I think they're terrible. Can someone please explain to me the appeal? I see lots of people seem to really like this promotion, but i just don't get the appeal. I try watching every week, but ultimately just get frustrated and pissed and exhausted about 20 minutes in and switch over to NXT or just videogames and keep them in as background noise.

They have "the control room" episodes on their channel that gives narrative background and talks about upcoming matches.
They're short videos, and specifically designed to let you get your bearings without having to re-watch hours and hours of show.

Cody is so dedicated, I love it. Hes taken big bumps in AEW like every other week, the chair shot to the head, blood bath vs Dustin, busting the above his eye brow w/ scar, 10 lashes, now jumping off the steel cage. Really sells it and makes it look legit like wrestling in the 90s

I stopped watching WWE when the PG era came in and the matches started getting boring. I think AEW is a beautiful cocktail of WWF, ECW and WCW laced with a bit of New Japan and a modern twist.......I'm watching wrestling again. If the story-lines are as good, I think they'll light a fire under Vince and HHH's asses for the first time since WCW.

I havent watched a wrestling show all the way through from start to finish since wwe back in 0'7 through 2010.... AND i just watch highlights for wwe monday night raw and friday night smackdown because the show every week really isnt good enough for to watch all the way through. But AEW is the best thing going and i wish nothing but the best moving foward.. THIS SHOW WAS 5 STARS!!!!!!

Loved every moment of Dynamite! I love the passion each and every wrestler gives each night. Cody & Wardlow worked well together and I'm impressed with Wardlow's athleticism. His Seanton Bomb was a nice throwback to Sean O'Haire(RIP) and Cody is a bona fide legend. AEW 4 Life!

chrharmar WWE’s best days ended in 2003 imo, 2002 was a great year, 2003 was the end of the attitude era and the start of the ruthless aggression era, which was still a million times better than today’s PG era! And i agree, today’s WWE is absolutely terrible, and unless they decide to come back to TV14 and to make huge changes from top to bottom of the company, they will never come back to where they were in the good old days of the attitude era, and the AEW could very well become a real threat by then, they end up could hurting the WWE real bad in the long run!

Lets be honest They stole wwe idea of steel cage and tried to make it look as much different as they can from wwe but we all know they deserve 10 stars for copying wwe cause that's what aew does copy wwe.
@@kunwarahmed_ to be honest, cage matches are one of the most generic wrestling matches ever. To say they copy WWE is unjustified. If they were to copy the Royal Rumble or Buried Alive Match for example, then that would be copying WWE.

Unfortunately heart ain't enough. I like aew but you can't defeat the global conglomerate wwe. WWE is involved in divide and rule tactics. Nxt fans believe in their show and sports entertainment fans believe in raw and sd . Their ratings Combi Ned destroy s aew.

They have Guts, Talent, and most importantly, creativity. AEW has given me more HOLY SHIT moment in the last two months than WWE has in two years.
