  • The Pickles go camping.
Shot in November of 2016 when we had unseasonably warm temperatures. Perfect for camping.
Sequoyah State Park. Found on Fort Gibson Lake, just outside of Wagoner, Oklahoma.
One of the better, more well maintained state parks in Oklahoma. Three RV campgrounds are available (Cherokee, Seminole, Choctaw) within the park.
Cherokee Campground is the most primitive with sites ranging from tent sites to sites with water and 30 amp hookups. Bathrooms and showers within the campground. Dump Station at entrance to the Cherokee campground.
Seminole campground has water and 30/50 amp hookups available at each site. Some sites in the Seminole campground also have sewer hookups. Bathrooms and showers located within the campground. There is also a dump station located at the entrance of the Seminole campground.
Choctaw campground has water, 30/50 amp service and sewer hookups at each site. No dump station or bathrooms present in the Choctaw campground.

Remember to bring change for the showers. I believe $0.50 gets you 5 minutes of warm water.
We stayed in campsite 8 in the Seminole Campground. Our site was right next to the playground and had a lakefront view. The kids loved it.
Sequoyah State Park also has an extensive trail system with both paved and off-road trails: d1p5oa3xaqaqx.c...
There is also a small nature center within the park that our kids enjoyed. As of November 2016, they had a 40+ year old Bald Eagle in their care. Definitely check out the nature center if you are in the park.
