    I've got a 154 as well that got running recently with a 5ft woods deck on the 3pt. Only problem you'll run into for any rear mounts is that these lo boys have live pto (matches engine speed) and reverse direction driveshaft....so effectively only real use if you cant find the original lo-boy specific implements (very very few) then you're pretty much SOL and limited to 3pt implements where you just need the lift of the 3pt (blades, cultivators, etc) which I imagine could overload the lo boy pretty quick. Kinda like mowers on steroids really. I use it to knock down some fields that are mostly grass annually but have some woody stuff like autumn olive and blackberry thorns, when it gets woody i have to take multiple passes and cut real high then come back in lower passes, things only got 14hp

      Yea, 14-15hp on healthy engines. This one weeds full throttle to even go in reverse or 2nd gear. Yea, I can't find any snow plows or snow blowers. Whenever I put a diesel engine in it, it's be more powerful. Just going to rebuild the engine and keep it stored. Any ideas on what diesel would fit under the hood?

      Thanks, she's tired!!! That's why I'm probably going to put a diesel in it. Rebuild the engine later in the future.

    Mind if I ask your age? Love seeing a young man with dirty hands. I've been building implements for my elderly moms weak craftsman lt1000 and i need something built better. Now I'm obsessed with these old compact tractors. I must find one in cali.

      15. Hope you find one! They are strong tractors with healthy engines. This one does not have a healthy engine lol

    Well you had me interested up tell the point that you don't like Chevy. Got one of these, and a bunch of Chevrolet products, both will run forever with regular maintenance. Since you are used to working on other products fords , Chrysler or other brands you shouldn't have any problems getting the old IH going. Your tools shouldn't have any rust on them either
    Good luck

      @@Antiquefarmequipment No, it’s a question for before you swapped engines

    • @Antiquefarmequipment
      @Antiquefarmequipment  6 місяців тому

      @charlesbrown7127 I didn't do anything with the wiring before I swapped engines. But it was pretty easy to do the wiring on the kubota. It's a mechanical engine so there's not much wiring on it. Just a positive wire going from the solenoid to the big post on the starter, and that's pretty much it. I mean there was an electric fuel pump I had to wire in but that just went on the ignition. The worst part was wiring the alternator up because it had a start/generator from factory. I can make a video on it if you'd like
