The Federal Signal EQ2B 200 Watt Remote Siren has been completely designed to incorporate 200W Class D audio amplifier for increased reliability. In addition, external diagnostics have been added to monitor power, output voltage and current monitoring. Features include park kill input, which immediately shuts off the siren when vehicle is in park and horn ring input which allows the user to cycle through siren tones. Finally, an audio output has been added to allow the EQ2B to work with the Federal Signal Rumbler Intersection Clearing System.
Using DSP circuitry, the EQ2B amplifier is able to accurately reproduce the trademarked “Q” wail rather than relying on a simple digital recording. DSP also enables the product to function either manually or automatically for hands-free operations. The new Class D engineered system reduces operating current to 20 amps and provides for a more robust, reliable system.
The push-button backlit, membrane switches and robust rubberized knob provide tactile feel to easily activate siren tones, airhorn, PA and radio rebroadcast. In addition, the detachable push-to-talk microphone can be easily removed and replaced with customized plug. Volume control for microphone is located directly on the keypad for added convenience.
Three external inputs allow for the use of externally configured foot switches to control manual wail, brake and airhorn. The distinctive sound of the Q2B electro-mechanical siren is a registered trademark owned by Federal Signal Corporation.
Features:
Traditional Q-Siren wail, yelp, air horn, PA and radio rebroadcast, park-kill input and horn ring input.
Requires one 200-watt speaker or two 100-speakers to complete the 200-watt system of the e-Q2B
Current draw of 20 amps makes the system ideal for large apparatus, ambulance applications and command vehicles.
Redesigned for increased reliability and improved functionality
Features the traditional trademarked Q-Siren sound
New keypad features backlit membrane switches with tactile feel
Control Head is available as either the Standard Bracket Mount (see photo), or Optional Flush Mount (see line drawing).

Sounds really good! Thanks for this video. Love the long wind down.
Thanks for watching :)
Threw me off when the Stuart said welcome to SirennetTV and not Sirennet Television. Great video though, I love the mechanical and electric Q so much!
Thank you :)
Love the sound
And
The amp is HUGE😅
Yes, it also works with a foot switch. Depending on the model you may have to get creative with wiring
The City of Toronto (Canada) Fire Dept will not use the real Q because of the current draw (100A.). Many of their new trucks are coming equipped with the eQ2B. But when the eQ2B breaks down, they replace it with a regular electronic siren due to the cost of repairing/replacing the eQ2B.
the old school Q is king
Hot80s hell yea
I think that there needs to be a remote control for the siren for the officer to have on him self to shut the siren off when they have to move fast on foot because they have for got to shut it off in the car just a ideal
A Park-kill module will just that; when the vehicles shifted into park, the siren automatically shuts off.
That's a lot less than my old 60 lb Cast Iron Mechanical siren
this is not a police car siren
I have a real Q2b on my F150
Two of the big city fire systems that have the EQ2B are Fire Department of New York City and Chicago fire department
and Los Angeles County Fire Department
Haven’t heard these sirens in my country: the Philippines
their american sirens
Alexanders Adventures - Channel Deactive my country bought lots of American sirens. Even the volunteer fire departments.
Can you please do a video for the new federal signal pathfinder siren?
Coming soon :)
I've also been waiting eagerly for the new pathfinder to be shown too. From what I understand it's kind of like a dumbed down soundoff blueprint system. I just hope it has unitrol tones.
20 amps? Good lord, I guess that isn't mean for a personally owned vehicle lol
It might be a little much for a POV :)
MOPARGuy how lol., What do you have like 3 battery's lol
Fire Department Of North Yankee Isn’t Not Used EQ2B With Rumbler, They Used A Real Q2B.
I have a request if you can you do the federal signal smart siren ssp3000b thank you. Also great video!

Does the volume knob control siren volume too
It's specific to the microphone.
Ok
“ELECTRONIC Q2B”
Some Fire Trucks in Roblox have that siren
Does it have a foot pedal?
Unfortunately it does not.
@@SIRENNET it does actually does have a foot pedal wiring terminal but it does not include it
@@alexandersalarms5380Thanks for letting us know :)
Where's the speaker?
That's an additional item you'll need. We recommend pairing the EQ2B with the ES100C series speakers: sirennet.com/federal-signal-es100c-dynamax-speaker.html
Can anyone who is not into Fire or EMT buy one of these
On not EMS vehicles, they can be unlawful. For specifics, we'd suggest reviewing your States lighting & siren regulations.
SIRENNET Well we use any siren u can buy as a volunteer emergency responder, our government only buys for their vehicles
Some states only allow volunteers to use air-horns while others do allow some siren tones. Best to check you state guide lines or with your department Chief on what you can safely use.
SIRENNET Ok I live on an island and volunteers and emergency vehicles use basically the same sirens only difference is the volunteers have to purchase their own lightning and sirens
@@jamesrodolee03 to answer you're question, yes you can buy it. You don't need a federal tax ID number or any sort of certification.
