Sega Genesis has much better bass than the SNES. Synthesizers may have sounded a little dated by the early 90s, but I'll take the Genesis' FM synth over the compressed, muffled s**t that is the SNES soundchip.
That's a lie. Sega had good sound but the super nintendo had way better sound. It had a Sony chip which had great output. Sure some super tracks sound weird compressed but most of the sound great.

SNES sounds fine on a CRT at low volume, but sounds like a$$ on any decent sound system. The Genesis FM synth sounds great though.
