Here are some things to consider. 1) According to CFW Walter, this sin is not unforgivable because its magnitude. Christ died for all sin, and His blood covers all of it. Hold that in your heart. It’s not like the blood of Jesus covers every sin, except this one. You have to look at how it operates. Essentially, you are cutting yourself off from the forgiveness of God either by pride, despair, obstinacy, being envious of another’s blessings, continual unrepentant sin, etc. 2) I've heard other pastors state that’s it’s not a one and done thing. My pastor told me it’s not like a “I’ve done this now what? kind of scenario. 3) Its not a slip of the tongue or an intrusive thought or an intention. Walter explained you have to speak the blasphemy out loud with malicious hatred. I’d recommend you read over thesis 32 about it. Walter explains a lot. 4) If you desire repentance, run to Jesus ASAP!! That’s a sign the Holy Spirit is working on you. Jesus loves you so much He promises to never cast away any who comes to Him. Never. Whatever you have done in your life, you cannot out sin the grace of God. Jesus waits with arms wide open to you. Run to Him! Here is a quote from Luther. Forgive me if it’s word for word but you’ll get the idea: “And when the devil comes to you throwing your sins in your face saying you deserve hell and death say back to him. ‘I deserve hell and death. Hi Chad! Could an elect person commit this unpardonable sin prior to being effectively called? How about after being effectively called? Does God have the power to soften, in the elect, even the heart you describe as having a hardness that will never be softened?
@@chadbird1517 What is it about an elect person that would prevent him from committing the unpardonable sin prior to his justification? (BTW, I am not trying to be provocative. These are sincere questions.)
@robertdavis1836 hi Robert, I am not Chad.. but from what I know and understand once you've recognised the nature of God and are aware of the Holy Spirit it's impossible to deny or blaspheme because of the very nature of God and the Holy Spirit. Even non Christians will recognise what it is but call it by different names. To blaspheme or deny it.. like Chad says, you should know the truth. And if something causes you to still blaspheme you'll be an enemy. It's not easy and I'd imagine not many people who can feel the grace and presence will want to lose the awareness they have of the Holy Spirit.
The unpardonable sin, wouldn't it be unbelief and continuing in it? That is unbelief in our LORD Jesus Christ which includes who HE is and what HE has done and what HE is doing for wretched sinners as we are. May GOD'S peace be upon you all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our LORD. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a by product of unbelief, look at the Pharisees which this passage is about they didn't believe in the LORD Jesus Christ for healing the blind man and so they said that He did it by the power of the devil because they did not believe He was the incarnate Heavenly Father, all of this was because of their unbelief. Context is critical to understanding the Word of GOD. Thank you my brothers and sisters in the LORD Jesus, just seek HIM and all will be well with your soul.
I think it has a lot to do with continuing in unbelief, but I also think it is more of an Israel doctrine, not for the Body of Christ Church in this Dispensation of Grace. Before this Dispensation began with Paul, Ananias and his wife were killed by the Holy Spirit for lying to Him. They were not even given the chance to repent.
The unforgivable sin, according to the most knowledgeable teacher I've ever met.. Let's look at the context first,Jesus in this passage was talking to the Pharisees. The Pharisees were required to offer an animal offering for their sins. Knowing the above, Jesus meant to say that any animal sacrifice for sin can cover up or remove all sin but can't grant you salvation(regenerate the human spirit) cause the holy spirit is the one that does that and if you don't allow him to do that but still sacrifice animal sacrifice for sin (remeber that these people knew the scriptures),results in you blaspheming the work of the holy spirit in the sense that you believe that you can attain salvation through animal sacrifice, but true salvation is to be born again thats what Jesus said to Nicodemus, Jesus was attempting to speak to them at the level of their understanding by the word forgiven, because their theology didn't include any form of salvation so the closest thing that was the equivalent of that according to their understanding was forgiveness.. In closing, their refusal to let the Holy Spirit regenerate their human spirits and continuation of animal sacrifice leads them to not attaing salvation, thereby leading them to eternal damnation...hope this helps
Not accepting (Christ as savior) and trying to save them self. John 3:16, john 3:36, John 6:47. We can’t save ourselves as they found out in Matthew 7:21-23.
Mark.3:30 those who calls Jesus as an “unclean spirit”, most likely hate Jesus..and they might never repent if they are believing this? When we take the eschatology of Islam as an example, they are clearly portraying Jesus as the “anti- Christ” will they then never repent??…i would somehow still think that the grace of God far exceeds any size of sin?
He says in the video that speaking against the Son of God isn't an unforgivable sin. It's when you know and then willingly speak against the Holy Spirit. Muslims recognise Jesus as a powerful and beloved prophet, just don't accept him as God in human form.
I wish I hadnt committed this sin. I want to forgiven biut cant. I was living in delibarate sin after knowing the gospel. My understanding is I now am without hope. I want to repent. But.
@johnnycook589 if you desire to repent God forgives you through His Son Jesus Christ and there is therefore now no more condemnation. It's the devil who wants to keep you in this place of not believing you are forgiven. You are forgiven. Believe it, receive it and walk forward in your forgiveness and freedom.
@@reneefox9852 According to Hebrews repentance is impossoble for those who were enlightned. And are condemned to hell. I was handed over to my sin by not repenting and willfully sinning. This might be over the head of many but the word and the spirit are the same or have the same meaning, they are like synonym's, Jesus said His words are spirit, words are what comes out of a man that defile him or make him unsuitable for God's use, every word that men shall speak they will give account of on that day, the less you speak the less you will give account of, blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom, those that teach the word will be judged more harshly, speaking against God's Holy word or words is opposing God, it's words that offend more than actions, the tongue is a world of iniquity, depart from me you that work iniquity, iniquity is deception, deception turns people away from God rather than to Him, some will be beaten with fewer stripes than others and some will barely be saved, obviously because they didn't get forgiveness, getting forgiveness means God won't hold the sin against you, forgets it, remembers it no more, Not everyone that says to me LORD LORD will enter, why did you call me LORD and didn't do the things I said=spoke=words=which leads to actions, there are two sides to a coin, one of them causes a man to think he wins, a time will come when they will try to kill you and they think their doing God's work, the " they" are the many that came in His name or come in His name saying HE is the savior or Jesus is the savior, not themselves but will deceive many, it's not the ungodly or the wicked doing this, it's a religious zealot, a religious zealot are extremist, they will travel the world over to make just one convert, they are like the pharisee's of Jesus time, they make it too hard to believe in God or follow Him and His word, they go beyond what is written and come up with commandments or commands because of their puffed up spiritual minds, they come up with gospels and teachings that serve no purpose other than to cause one to fall into condemnation for something they can't do or is very hard to do, they are overly righteous, they are liars and hypocrites, they create laws that don't exist in God's Law thinking their only trying to perfect the man not knowing the effect it has on the man and causes him to fall into condemnation making that man think he will go to hell if he doesn't do what their teaching, what's so odd about this is it's unknown to him what he's doing but the evidence is overwhelming in the testimonies of the people believing their gospel or teaching, they speak of things which they ought not desiring to control another man's wife teaching her what is okay or not okay to do in the bedroom, to them it's not learn from their own husbands, it's learn from them, no longer do they have to sneak into the man's house to turn her against him, they preach a gospel that appeals to her thinking if they can get her they can get him and their doing it from their computers and phones, just be warned if your a believer and decide to go fishing on a day your wife decides to go to church without you, you could be feeding her to the wolves not knowing it
I like the way you let us know what we’re looking for and what it means God is the father of the son, and son came to save people because God said, let Gods will be done! Jesus never prayed to himself so looking and listening
How does one then discern between what is true and what is false? Matt 13:22 says that false christs and false prophets will arise, and will provide signs and wonders in order to mislead, if possible, the elect. It seems the understanding you give on blasphemy of the Holy Spirit would scare anyone away from trying to discern between what is false and true, because of the fear of possibly being wrong.
Which is why He said that of the Pharisees - weren't they supposed to know God and know his nature and the Truth? They knew but couldn't see. 🤷♀️ faith and skepticism isn't questioned. Knowing God and then questioning the working of God is unforgivable
@@kiarashkasrain the video Chad says people who commit this sin develop a hardness of heart that cannot be softened again. They feel no shame and no desire to repent. With full knowledge they continue to speak against the Holy Spirit. It sounds like you have repented and so you have not committed the unforgivable sin. Go in peace and continue to walk with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The unpardonable sin is unbelief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. God has provided for our salvation in His Son (John 3:16). Forgiveness is found exclusively in Jesus (John 14:6). To reject the only Savior is to be left with no means of salvation; to reject the only pardon is, obviously, unpardonable. The blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, specific as it was to the Pharisees’ situation, cannot be duplicated today. Jesus Christ is not on earth, and no one can personally see Jesus perform a miracle and then attribute that power to Satan instead of the Spirit. The only unpardonable sin today is that of continued unbelief. There is no pardon for a person who dies in his rejection of Christ.
Its a deep hearted defaming, blasphemy, against the Holy Spirit, God. When the Pharisees in Matt. 12 attributed Jesus's works to the Devil that was just a manifestation of their already commited Unforgivable Sin. Jesus said to the Pharisees in John 8:44, You are of your father the Devil and want to do the desires of your father. If Jesus said they were of their father the devil, that makes them children of the Devil and that is the Unforgivable Sin, making the Devil their god and sufficiency. See also Act 13:9-10, Elymas the sorcerer was also a child of the Devil. In the OT see references to "sons of Belial", another name for Satan. Cain was also a child of the Devil, Gen 4:8-15 and 1John 3:12. As were sons of Eli in 1Sam 2:12. Shalom
Just get to the point it’s the rejection of Christ as your savior if you do that there is no forgiveness of your sins that’s the only thing that will keep you from heaven
Nowhere in Jesus’ words does he refer to that as what I talked about in this video. You’re collapsing general unbelief with this particular sin against the Holy Spirit. They are not the same.
@@chadbird1517 the title of your video is the unforgivable sin and rejecting Christ is the only sin that won’t be forgiven than that is the ultimate point
Satan did the unforgivable sin, he knew the truth, all of it, and betrayed anyway, no human being saw the all Truth yet so, don’t worry about that… no human can defeat Satan, only God does…
Bringing "clarity" to a world of superstition is not terribly helpful. According to the Bible, the only unforgivable sin is "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit". That sounds like a great means for keeping people in the religious fold, but is a perverted kind of "morality". A credible God would not demand belief or respect. It would inspire as to why such belief or respect are due. By this standard, a gay Christian would be more easily forgiven than Jew who rejects Jesus as the "son of God". Such a thought would probably make the heads of rabidly anti-gay Christian bigots explode, but fortunately they will be protected by layers of cognitive dissonance.
Yes there is really a fight for our souls and not choosing God is the infidelity here, SIN TEACHES YOU ! WHAT NOT TO DO? Evil is real and so are Satans children

Why do you believe that man is more powerful than God?
Unbelief is the only unforgivable sin.
I regret it but cant feel Godly sorrow now even tho i want to. I became wickly immorral for over 20 years. I never even realized why my conciece didnr bother me. A seared concence happened. I was in church many years and hard the truth. God rejects me now just like Esau. I beg for mercy amd forgiveness. I want Jesus but He dont want me. I do and have called on the name of the Lord but he want forgive me. Thats why i say i commited this sin. Didnt realize i was committing it but idid no sinning was wrong. Now i cant choose heaven. Its my own fault. I hope nobody does that. Its a horrible feeling knowing any moment i could and will be sent to hell for all eternity. Sin is evil. Norhing i can do or God will do for me orher than throw me into the lake of fire. I cringe in fear 24/7.
What about atheists who do not believe in anything supernatural? No God, no Satan, angels, etc? What sin can they commit that is unforgivable?
This might be over the head of many but the word and the spirit are the same or have the same meaning, they are like synonym's, Jesus said His words are spirit, words are what comes out of a man that defile him or make him unsuitable for God's use, every word that men shall speak they will give account of on that day, the less you speak the less you will give account of, blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom, those that teach the word will be judged more harshly, speaking against God's Holy word or words is opposing God, it's words that offend more than actions, the tongue is a world of iniquity, depart from me you that work iniquity, iniquity is deception, deception turns people away from God rather than to Him, some will be beaten with fewer stripes than others and some will barely be saved, obviously because they didn't get forgiveness, getting forgiveness means God won't hold the sin against you, forgets it, remembers it no more, Not everyone that says to me LORD LORD will enter, why did you call me LORD and didn't do the things I said=spoke=words=which leads to actions, there are two sides to a coin, one of them causes a man to think he wins, a time will come when they will try to kill you and they think their doing God's work, the " they" are the many that came in His name or come in His name saying HE is the savior or Jesus is the savior, not themselves but will deceive many, it's not the ungodly or the wicked doing this, it's a religious zealot, a religious zealot are extremist, they will travel the world over to make just one convert, they are like the pharisee's of Jesus time, they make it too hard to believe in God or follow Him and His word, they go beyond what is written and come up with commandments or commands because of their puffed up spiritual minds, they come up with gospels and teachings that serve no purpose other than to cause one to fall into condemnation for something they can't do or is very hard to do, they are overly righteous, they are liars and hypocrites, they create laws that don't exist in God's Law thinking their only trying to perfect the man not knowing the effect it has on the man and causes him to fall into condemnation making that man think he will go to hell if he doesn't do what their teaching, what's so odd about this is it's unknown to him what he's doing but the evidence is overwhelming in the testimonies of the people believing their gospel or teaching, they speak of things which they ought not desiring to control another man's wife teaching her what is okay or not okay to do in the bedroom, to them it's not learn from their own husbands, it's learn from them, no longer do they have to sneak into the man's house to turn her against him, they preach a gospel that appeals to her thinking if they can get her they can get him and their doing it from their computers and phones, just be warned if your a believer and decide to go fishing on a day your wife decides to go to church without you, you could be feeding her to the wolves not knowing it
Nice!!!
I think it’s Luke 11 not 12 though?
Its Luke 12 bro❤
What if you Curse the holy Spirit
I like the way you let us know what we’re looking for and what it means God is the father of the son, and son came to save people because God said, let Gods will be done! Jesus never prayed to himself so looking and listening
it's to attribute the work of heaven to the work of hell. it's to attribute the work of the spirit to the work of the flesh.
❤❤❤
I swear to the Holy Spirit accidently i was just talking fast
Lord forgive me
i said something mean to the Holy Spirit accidentally now i am stressed and guilty and feeling regret
Getting your beliefs wrong is the unforgivable sin.
This sin could only be committed once in history, not by and individual and it had to happen before the death of Jesus Christ.
Chad is wrong here, this sin cannot be done today.
@@marius79fpit can be done now. If you find someone who's seen the nature of truth and had the courage and heart to deny its existence..
There is no unforgivable sin. If a person truly repents for apostatizing that person is forgiven.
@@garyevans4524 Probably a good idea to watch the video and not comment on titles alone 😊
I need scripture here to back your theories
The scriptures are well known. Luke 12:10; Mathew 12:24-32; Mark 3:22-30
He gave the scriptures at 1:38.
@@cherylq7183 Um, no he didn't. He gave chp numbers, you took the time to correct and you messed that up? lol
Yes there is really a fight for our souls and not choosing God is the infidelity here, SIN TEACHES YOU ! WHAT NOT TO DO? Evil is real and so are Satans children
To deny Yashua!
And instead worship Satan and do the bidding of all the fallen angels! Instead Put on the armour of God, and fight? To Win and know your Bible well
I do not think you communicated you point well, as I said at the start use scripture and present the evidence:scriptures
Eh...he did use scripture!
