@ actually it was made by Eggman but I sense that he either: 1) Eggman started to build prototypes and next time there is a film Sonic will fight a real fight. 2)Eggman at some point used time travel like in Sonic CD and sent Metal Sonic in the past to deal with the blue blur. And perhaps it could be where the movie integrates Tom and Maddie, since other than sneaking into G.U.N and the former getting injured, they didn't get to do much in 3. What if both Sonic and Amy are getting dating advice from them separately, and Tom and Maddie don't tell one about the other's interest in them? That could be pretty neat. Also, I hope the 4th movie has some villain like Neo Metal, and Tails and Knuckles get more development.

In the fourth movie, Sonic might be going through a love situation while he and his team consisting Tails, Knuckles and newest members, Amy Rose, and Shadow are battling a survived Robotnik’s new army of killer androids modeled after the five aliens. Jim Carrey will have to come out of retirement one last time in order for this to be a success.
