Took my time long enough! May this be the first of a few limited area challenges. I've been trying stuff out to see what's most interesting about this type of Rimworld challenge - might even be able to go smaller, but it was a worthwhile endeavor nonetheless - give it a try :)
As always, please check out the description for the modmakers, without whom this type of thing would not even be possible in the first place - thank you!

Another banger from the Rim! Limited resources to the max. I always like this kind of content, seeing how other people play with limited resources. I recently did a 'hermits in the mountain' playthrough where I refused to trade, refused all new colonists aside from my starting 3, and didn't ever leave - even to get resources from other tiles. It was harder than I expected to actually finish and defend the space ship without leaving or trading to get more plasteel.

If you exploit the traps enough the game is pretty easy... Until the raiders start dishing out the sappers and you have to meticulously spread out your turrets around the base. Most difficult situation I've been in was a nuclear winter that lasted for way too long. Adapted to that by raising a lot of rice indoor, but the electricity the lamps need was a pain in the ass.

So just a tip for the initial room. You can reach slightly impressive on a room by day 1 or 2 just by planting a bunch of daylillies in the soil. For example at 6:24 if you had turned that area that into an indoor growing zone for daylillies that would have bumped the room immediately to decent, then you extend the zone until it becomes impressive. Main problem with floors especially early on is that they constantly get dirty, creating more work and sometimes making the room worse than if it hadnt been floored in the first place

I love the challenges you put out AA It inspired me to try some myself. I find that the best stories come from the most dire situations like the time I had a naked and afraid start in a mountainous ice sheet (single naked couldn't survive plain ice sheet). My favorite things to come from that playthough was a shirtless man crawling though a -17 degree Celsius cave to eat bug goop, building a roofless hut around a geyser, and the telekinetic pacifist who "technically" didn't kill people. It's challenges which inspire intelligence and the results which inspire creativity. Thank you for inspiring us Mr. Amphibian!

Now this is a lovely idea, I've done something similar. Half the space, twice the people. 4 plots split in half between two people each of about 20x20; 8 total people, with a communal space in the center for sharing space and resources. Noone allowed to cross each other's borders except in emergencies or if marriage occurs, in which case their zones are merged. One guy starved, marriages happened, and the pirate incapable of skilled labor beat up rabbits with his bare hands until he too died, but not before murdering one his neighbors due to hangriness who also happened to be his mother. (All achieved in 1.0 with a child mod on). Anyways love this kind of content and the new vids too

"thankfully my poor organization can be excused due to my wonderful narration."
This is true and is why I am doomed for I am bad at both.

The downside to becoming a Rimworld savant is the lack of tension. Though I will always appreciate the words that flow out of your mouth, like milk and honey.

I’ve just found (and subbed to) your channel and I have to say- I love the way you speak and narrate. It tells a story and makes the video entertaining while also offering me a comfort to be able to relax and rest. I’ve been sick with Covid and have been watching your Rimworld videos and I love them. Makes me think about buying the game…

I did a Naked Brutal Alone start in a Tundra map.
    0 items, 0 clothing, 1 Pawn
Had to start it in Summer so I didn't instantly die due to sub-freezing temps.
Constructed a small shelter by scrounging stone off of existing ruins(Doors yield so much!) and built it up around one of those Heat Geysers. If you leave the door to the base open and the size of the building is right it'll standardize(roughly) to a comfortable temp for the Pawn.
If you do this I'd recommend finding a tundra that has 20/60 growing season(I think is what it's called).
I also love how you can expand the building and add a door to the geyser room to control if you want heating for the rest of your base or not.

You can do ice sheet too, but use steel for your first shelter, it takes less time.

I was just in a discussion about veganism before I came here. I appreciate the irony: necessity trumps ethics, as man must eat.

    2 things:
    1. Instead of putting the butcher table inside, just have it outside the house. At least that way you won't have to worry about cleaniness and the 30% hit on butchering speed isn't that bad.
    2. Get some statues in asap and turn one room into multiple purpose room. Production, research, dining, recreation, beds. Doing so means you get a constant mood buff from an impressive room.
