Tis why I pirate them. If it isn't available through legal means then pirating it is morally correct. All of our favorite shows will eventually be scrubbed indefinitely at the whim of some seven to nine figure executive. Piracy = preservation

@@lexecomplexe4083 Pirating is morally correct even if the show is available through legal means. The enjoyment you will receive from the episode far exceeds any infinitesimal loss of money to the corporations who own streaming services.

I was recently reflecting on the changes I have been through in the last ten years…
New life outside of the military.
A booze problem.
A few psychological issues.
Quite a few rehab stints.
Declaration of one-hundred percent disability from active service.
A few state moves.
A few short jobs (two-weeks max).
A few lost friends.
And newfound sobriety.
It’s been one hell of a ride!
Oh, and then there was trump! 😡

There's been so many mixed messages, cuz some people say they are, and then others (like yourself) said they are not.

I never thought about a Last Week marathon. It's only recently I have started to watch full episodes.
That sounds hilariously depressing 😅
I'm totally doing a marathon. I've been watching this since season 2, when I was way too young to be watching this show. I never got to see season 1. I'm actually really excited for this. Plus, the full episodes have all the little side segments, which you don't get to see if you only watched the main stories.
@@sophiedowney1077 Which is especially relevant because most of John's more caustic criticisms of Israel and their treatment of Palestinians has been through some of those side segments which have, through now, been locked behind that Max paywall.

They've never posted full episodes before now, the 25-30 minute uploads each week are only the main segment, each episode is ~40 minutes long and has more stuff in it.
@@BrandonGiesingThey did post one a few weeks ago, early Monday AM just like they used to. It was an entire episode, opening credits to ending credits. I don’t have cable so the only way I’ve ever seen a full episode was from some bootlegger account before YT took it down.
@@BrandonGiesingThere are full episodes of the current season, on this channel, but they are not available in the USA. I believe a future archive release was also mentioned when they announced full episodes earlier this year.

I do last week marathons all the time. I live in the middle of trump country so this show actually qualifies as uplifting for me. I'm honestly really thankful ❤❤

It's turned into actual panic now but realistically yea right, not getting out of here anytime soon. Our ban is the exact same deaths door version as Arizona just without a ballot measure to look forward to.. So I take as many doses of liberal anywhere I can find it. Hearing John Olivers particular brand of sanity is really comforting.

I was horrified when Roe was overturned, not for myself, but for my children and grandchildren and every woman who.is being told that she is lesser and undeserving of basic human rights. It's really hard to look people in the eye that I once respected when they could vote for someone who openly bragged about assaulting women, talked about his own daughter in a vile way and also bragged about leering at teenage beauty contestants backstage as they changed. All before the election! I hope you are able to move somewhere safer soon. Stay strong. I believe this era of fascism will wind down as it did following WWII, hopefully skipping the world war part.
@@pal5683 It's really scary. I have a seizure disorder and if I got pregnant I would not be allowed to take the medicine that keeps me from having them. My heart has stopped beating after a seizure at least twice but since I don't know the day and time it would happen a doctor here would never give me the abortion I would need to literally not die. . I would keep having them until I was dead. I'm not being hyperbolic so I know theres millions of women just like me. Plus its so much more than our bodies, a baby defines our whole entire lives. Abusive men can now use pregnancy as another tool to keep women from leaving them too. Around here women just don't even want to talk about it. Meanwhile my heart is just breaking for all the little girls who are moms now. That's the worst part. Bc these laws really do start to subtly change the way we're viewed as equal. Every single day another girl is forced to give up her life that had she had barely even begun. Idk how its possible for people to care so little about millions of young girls at the very least.

This is genuinely fantastic, and i think really great for all the people who can't afford it, hate HBO, dont wanna sail the seas, etc. It's an important show, covering important topics, and there has been so many ridiculously good episodes

Honestly, it's a form of preservation to do so, especially when the network does that
Since companies and their capitalist sycophants seem completely fine erasing years of a show forever with no legal means to watch them... piracy is not only morally correct, its the best form of preservation we've got for digital media.
I mean look at Infinity Train. Oh wait, you can't. Hbo deleted all four seasons, canned the crew, and cancelled the in progress season 5. Piracy is the ONLY way to watch it.
Pantheon season 1 is also unwatchable anywhere but through piracy. Season 2 is available all over but not season 1. Good luck finding it without piracy.
More and more I feel like piracy is not only morally correct, its a moral *imperative* in my eyes.

I can’t believe it’s been 10 years of LWT. It feels like yesterday I discovered this amazing brand new show.
I can’t believe I’ve been watching this show since I was 13. That’s the year I went to nursing camp. I remember getting up at 6am and watching him while I ate my scrambled eggs and toast before rushing off to start IVs in noodles and do CPR on dummies. I’m an ICU nurse now and last week tonight is still my favorite pre-shift show 🥰
