I am so sorry about your Icon box you really did get a lot of skincare. The Innisfree as a whole is a great brand but their VIT C broke me out so bad lol Their moisturizers and SPF are good though. You look beautiful as always!
Just an FYI: The Kosas brow serum doesn't contain Prostaglandin analogues, which is the ingredient that can cause eye irritation. As long as a brow or lash serum doesn't contain this ingredient, you should be fine. I would hate to see you waste it.
I received the blush but it’s not a color I would wear. I thought I’d get to choose the shade or they would go by my preference from those quizzes, but apparently not.
I was so let down by mine, too! I feel like they are putting the products that aren't selling well by the brand in our box. We are getting the misfits. Your review was honest and spot on!
I love the glam bag they designed for the month! And I’m with you on cream cleansers, it’s either a huge hit or a miss. I recently tried the fig1 cream cleanser and really liked it!
The pink clapper was picked in my box. Several items were $12 in the add ons, i got the bb cream. Sorry, it was a free box, maybe you should purchase,so you can pick. I do remember a time, i complained, all of you got a pallet, mine was ordered and paid for, they ran out for the paying customers. Never watched you before, no clue how much effort you show on spoilers? I have seen pr boxes with the clapper.
That should never ever happen. Paying customers not get the prime items. I approach my reviews as if I was a paying customer; because, sometimes paying customers do get the same variation, and a lot of PR people refuse to be honest in fear of losing their PR. I’m not one of those people. I will always choose honesty over materialism. 🥰🥰
Have you not figured out yet that brands paw off on ipsy things that they can’t sell so ipsy can buy them super cheap? Both Ipsy and boxycharm have also been caught changing formulas of products (obviously with the brands permission) and making totally different products in china at their factory (examples I remember were a Storybook Cosmetics palette and either a Ciate or Iconic London product) as well as Boxycharm taking a $1 skincare product from Temu that was like “we will personalize a label for you!” and listing it for $100 retail. That’s just a couple instances. In almost every box I get there is a product that has either a different ingredient list or country of origin (PRC instead of anywhere else) than the item’s info on the brand’s website.
I just use castor oil for my brows and eyelashes. I’ve used the elf and abh brow serums, but castor oil has worked the same for me and it’s sooo much cheapier!
Omg we got the exact same stuff in all 3 boxes. Absolutely terrible this month and I’m normally very positive with my Ipsy boxes. Not this month. Such a disappointment. Seriously! At least I’m hearing others are getting better stuff in their non PR boxes. 🤷🏻♀️
Hi I know i may be the only person saying this so please don’t come for me 🤞🏾🤞🏾 I’m making the assumption that your ipsy collection is PR. This means that you receive what you are given with no choice. Based on my assumption, Ipsy have given all the PR people a range of the products that are available for the paying customers. In the ICON box, I’ve always noted that the PR boxes only get 1 sometimes 2 of the curators own brand. In my opinion, this is the right thing for Ipsy to do. It would not do for paying customers to not have the full choices available because the PR people got all the best products. I know that I am very happy with the Boxycharm & Icon boxes I will be getting. I had 3 One Size Power Picks and I chose 2 more in my 3 choices. So I will be receiving 5 One Size items. I always prefer makeup over skincare, so the 2 skincare items i’m happy with. My Boxycharm box is quite skincare heavy and that’s my choice. I just think people receiving PR just need to remember that they are receiving a representation of what is available and that they are receiving it FREE!

I also addressed that I always approach the reviews as if I’m a paying customer and would be I feel like my money was well spent. I do that; because, a lot of PR people never say a negative word or honestly review and that leads to people purchasing based on a lie and propels distrust within the beauty community. I have received a lot of feedback over the past few years, from paying customers, that they have been extremely unhappy with Boxycharm and Ipsy and get similar variations to mine. Things like their picks not being honored or their preferences. So, I take the approach as if I were a playing customer, and I always reiterate that I’m grateful to get anything for free. Also, I always state that paying customers should absolutely receive the best products, but that is seems counterintuitive to send PR out that is the leftovers and the rejects. Either we can’t encourage people to subscribe OR (and, this is worst in my opinion) untruthful PR recipients rave about their boxes and encourage people to use their link to subscribe and then end up giving away or throwing out their products. I hope this helps explain why I review the way I do. Again, I appreciate your feedback. 🤗🤗
I have such a struggle with eye creams because my eyes are so sensitive to a lot of the ingredients in the creams🤦🏼♀️🤣 I love your blouse 🥰🥰🥰🥰 and that shade in your inner corner does make your eyes pop🤓🤓🤓

I think you nailed it I agree, 100% with you and the exact reason of why I quit both ipsy and boxy charm and I was a boxy luxe member what after three years somebody quits both that says it all. I don’t think it’s worth the money I can go into TJ Maxx or Burlington Marshalls. And buy name brand products, and spend less money

I love her brushes almost all i’ve tried and I have like 5 sets. Boost I loved because Fresh is a phenomenal skincare brand. We got a rose mask.

The icon box was so bad this month that I cancelled it as soon as I saw the spoilers. That's an insane amount of skincare. I actually thought the Boxycharm spoilers were a million times better than Icon and I did get a great Boxy this month. 5/5 items I am super excited for, but very different than your variation. I wish we could customize our power pick items.
I didn't get to make choices this month... because it was "pending" pass the point of choice but I heard alot of people's choices weren't working... so hopefully they picked well for me 😒
Other than receiving two AHA toning products, I'm actually pretty happy with this Icon box. Then again, I got lucky and scored the Cheek Clapper in Attention Seeker (pink) and a sparkly liquid eyeshadow in a gorgeous taupe, as well as the perfume.
My icon box was almost all skin care and I receives only one onesize product - a foundation. I am waiting to see if the shade will work. Not the best box.

I’m canceling my Boxycharm entirely. It’s not worth it at all. I’d taken a break and the last two boxes I’ve received are not only not what I prefer but for oily skin, not mature dry skin, which I have. I’m mad I wasted my money. I liked Boxycharm at one point in time and this being my first Icon box, I really expected better quality and better matching of products to my preferences.

I have used Latisse for over 10 years and that so called its changing eye color. Eye color can change somewhat according to ones health . I was born with one brown and one blue and I notice my brown one changes when my digestive system is very messed up .
I was so excited for the icon box for all the reasons you said but when choice came I was disappointed I'm getting 1 one size product and it's 1 of maybe 3 makeup products. I don’t work with Ipsy any more but I do purchase a boxycharm From what I have seen everyone got the same box in pr and its totally different than the picks and choices for paid for …thank goodness because I agree it is lame … I got the ciate palette in my pp and I did not get the icon because about 2 months ago I purchased a couple of cheek clapper and one size products in the shop for a good price and if u are a seasoned boxycharm subber like me u aren’t gonna be happy with the woman palette being chosen considering the volume 1 was in the drop shop for 8$ and it was the same old thing but maybe new subversion would enjoy it

Oh wow. Did not know about Fenty. That sucks. I use castor oil alone for my eyes! They grow lashes, i felt the price for the serum was nuts and since I have had excellent results with the oil I didn't want to try it.
Woah-I don’t think it’s a good idea to keep using the cream if it causes a burning sensation. You could be allergic to what they used to bind the vitamin c with the other ingredients as well. I'am Canadian I paid 102.00 dollars for Icon box getting it for the first time very disappointed. I don't like anything only three makeup products I am a very pale person so getting a foundation is personal to me don't think shade going to match me and lippy looks so dark I could be wrong and at eyelash serum I won't be using that and don't like anything that said rose scent in it sorry to rant about this box but it's my first one

It’s almost funny how much ipsy shoot themselves in the foot by sending you such bad versions of the box. With customization, my box (icon) ended up being really good for me. I got 2 bottles of perfume, 2 skincare products, 3 onesize makeup products and 2 Lys lip oils… not complaining 😂.
2 perfumes?! Whhhhaaaa haha I am sooo jealous haha And, you nailed it. I want paying customers to get amazing boxes, but why send PR people terrible variations? They should either cancel the program or send quality products to encourage us to sell their subscription. It makes no sense to me.
I’m sorry, but that Icon box is pretty much crap. And all the skincare? You can’t be giving people back to back skincare loaded boxes, simply because you don’t get around to using it all. Boxycharm began with one basic box, like 8 years ago, for $19/ month. The products in there were better than what’s been showing up in the Icon box. As soon as enough people cancel, they’ll go back to quality.
It really is! And I am pissed because this is my first one. Im very dissatisfied with the skincare they gave, since I am in my 40s and dry, but am receiving products for oily skin. I’m not at all excited these products and I thought I’d have more choice in what I was getting. I’m canceling my subscription over this, and because last months boxycharm sucked too. I had taken a break for some time, then restarted my membership only to get the two crappiest boxes ever! No thanks.
Girl I agree all the way. The skincare craze is a little out of hand. I love good skincare, but we can’t be mixing some of these things even. A lot of people don’t even understand layering and which counteract or even cause bad reactions.

We totally agree on this. Some got much better variations than us, which happy for them, but wish ours wasn’t so bad.
I a not a fan of Ciate either. I haven’t liked a single product of theirs. And I think Iosy if trying to get rid of those palettes because I remember getting that in my Glsmbag Plus a long time ago

Not my favorite icon box .I received blush & huda brow for my only makeup in box.. plus boost was skin care .so 7 skin care 2 makeup . I am excited for the blush

I don’t work with Ipsy any more but I do purchase a boxycharm From what I have seen everyone got the same box in pr and its totally different than the picks and choices for paid for …thank goodness because I agree it is lame … I got the ciate palette in my pp and I did not get the icon because about 2 months ago I purchased a couple of cheek clapper and one size products in the shop for a good price and if u are a seasoned boxycharm subber like me u aren’t gonna be happy with the woman palette being chosen considering the volume 1 was in the drop shop for 8$ and it was the same old thing but maybe new subversion would enjoy it
Ohhh $8 wow okay that’s even more insulting??? I feel like it has become a place for brands to dump off their discontinued products or ones they can’t sell instead of a subscription that gets you access to unknown or underrated gems, or sought after products. It’s quite sad.
Oh wow. Did not know about Fenty. That sucks. I use castor oil alone for my eyes! They grow lashes, i felt the price for the serum was nuts and since I have had excellent results with the oil I didn't want to try it.

Woah-I don’t think it’s a good idea to keep using the cream if it causes a burning sensation. You could be allergic to what they used to bind the vitamin c with the other ingredients as well.

I'am Canadian I paid 102.00 dollars for Icon box getting it for the first time very disappointed. I don't like anything only three makeup products I am a very pale person so getting a foundation is personal to me don't think shade going to match me and lippy looks so dark I could be wrong and at eyelash serum I won't be using that and don't like anything that said rose scent in it sorry to rant about this box but it's my first one
You can absolutely rant. That’s just not okay. They know they can make these boxes better, and they have before. I hope you next one is so much better 🥹🥹
It’s almost funny how much ipsy shoot themselves in the foot by sending you such bad versions of the box. With customization, my box (icon) ended up being really good for me. I got 2 bottles of perfume, 2 skincare products, 3 onesize makeup products and 2 Lys lip oils… not complaining 😂.
2 perfumes?! Whhhhaaaa haha I am sooo jealous haha And, you nailed it. I want paying customers to get amazing boxes, but why send PR people terrible variations? They should either cancel the program or send quality products to encourage us to sell their subscription. It makes no sense to me.

I’m sorry, but that Icon box is pretty much crap. And all the skincare? You can’t be giving people back to back skincare loaded boxes, simply because you don’t get around to using it all. Boxycharm began with one basic box, like 8 years ago, for $19/ month. The products in there were better than what’s been showing up in the Icon box. As soon as enough people cancel, they’ll go back to quality.
It really is! And I am pissed because this is my first one. Im very dissatisfied with the skincare they gave, since I am in my 40s and dry, but am receiving products for oily skin. I’m not at all excited these products and I thought I’d have more choice in what I was getting. I’m canceling my subscription over this, and because last months boxycharm sucked too. I had taken a break for some time, then restarted my membership only to get the two crappiest boxes ever! No thanks.

Girl I agree all the way. The skincare craze is a little out of hand. I love good skincare, but we can’t be mixing some of these things even. A lot of people don’t even understand layering and which counteract or even cause bad reactions.
