  • Hi there! its @jorge_tremont , please subscribe, ring the bell, like and comment!!! Traditional Matchbox Lesney form England reminds me when i was a child, they were mostly of my first model kits and diecast cars, in this case the British proud early Hawker Siddeley 125/600 prototype, after achieving world sales of over 250 aircrafts HS 125, Hawker Siddeley began a programme to provide an all round improvement in the already excellent performance and capacity. The new aircraft is longer, heavier, and carry up to 14 passengers with a high density seating layout, although in the standard configuration 8 seats are provided, with a galley, wardrobe, etc, to give a luxurious executive machine.Sorry no building process images, the model was painted before assembling, some seams shown (i wrongly named it as "beans" sorry) with primer, aerosol white paint and glossy warnish, just trying some basic early techniques, decals applied without the "sandwich technique", i love the multi-position display stand with the socket-head onto ball system. I used Revell Contacta glue. Paints and glue not included in this kit. 21cm length, 20cm wing span 10cm high mounted in the display stand, cont. 52 pcs.

I remember building this model in 1974 and have recently acquired another to put together at some point in the future. My modeling skills can't begin to compare with yours, though!

Jorge, great built..I am looking to find this kit again or build an Airfix one if find it. First built it in 1976 with Bison glue, it looked horrible but served as presidential plane in many of the "wars' I fought with my brother. Looking fo4ward to more of your builds. Seen many of your box reviews

Great little model.. Would love to get this as a comparison to the Airfix version which I do have.. The Irish Air Corps had 1 of these as their "government jet" in the 1980s and I have decals for it.

@@Kickback-dm7zt . The Matchbox one fitted really well but the detail on the surfaces lacked a bit and the landing gear was fairly simple

Until you don't buy the idea, the hump above the cockpit on HS 125 Dominie and some other models, is something that stay there like a little rock inside our shoe. Nobody has been capable to explain thoroughly the reason for its existence. Instead, I've figured out an explanation for myself. It isn't a kind of beret for the airplane, it isn't to add space in order to avoid taller pilots to duck. Well, then must be a weird brit reason: to improve aerodynamics? if so, why it was eliminated from further models? Nevertheless, there's a theory of mine. In aerodynamics, exists something called "Whitcomb area rule or transonic area rule". It is usually used to reduce the drag of an aircraft at transonic speed. I thought it was a sick joke that of transonic flight for the HW 125 Dominie but looking for some information in regard, I've found that max. speed limit is 0.78 Mach! Furthermore, what is mentioned in "PERFORMANCE" "Maximum Operating Mach number (MMO" at Wikipedia (if it is valid).
As you can see, there is a strong force flowing inside of me in order to know what is that thing for. Could anybody please shed some light for this clumsy soul? Thank you.
