A real quick tip, avoid getting so much damage, i would also advice you to not resupply in this case, use the tetrapod with the coral generator, dual zimmerman + dual stun needles, just hove over the boss and you will see. Good luck fellow Ravens
This video really frustrates me, because I've finished this mission as fast with way less damage and ammo use, and I still only get A rank. I have no idea what the requirements are.
After playing so many times, I’m inclined to believe that if you get the resupply that all of the ammo you have left counts against you for ammo cost and treats it like you emptied all of your clips. I went through a run with the above setup and had 1000+ ammo in both guns by taking out most enemies with the charge kick. Resupplied and took out the boss…finished the mission with 45k ammunition cost somehow. Just did it with shotguns and ignored the resupply and got S rank on my first try.
@@KINJAMOV I took resupply but used Zimmerman shotguns instead and got S rank on first try and I was a good 20 seconds slower than my previous times. Looks like the key is ammo cost
I just S ranked this (including a resupply) and took a fair bit longer than in the video - on missions with loghunt entries you seem to get a large bonus towards your rank if you kill those enemies during your attempt. On some missions it even appears effectively mandatory. Immediately after killing Invincible Rummy, go out through the door that opens and the straight up above you. There'll be two loghunt tetrapods with strong melee attacks. After killing them move towards the rail bridge (on your right if you're facing towards Rummy's combat area / away from the mission waypoint) and instead of taking the bridge right towards the waypoint go left and curve around the wall; there's two rolling droideka-style loghunt mechs curled up on a platform. Proceed through the mission as normal until you're in the metal smelting room (if you open another door and get to the next big outdoor area and a checkpoint you've gone too far; turn around and it's immediately on your right). Go into the little pipe tunnel that leads to a parts chest and kill the named AC that guards it. Finally as you're assault boosting towards the next waypoint in the big outdoor area (beyond the checkpoint mentioned above) there's two more loghunt mooks on a side path to the right. After that finish the mission as usual and you should be grand. You can likely skip at least one of the three enemy paragraphs above and still get enough rank bonus to easily get an S. I'd suggest starting with the tetrapods and sleeping droidekas since they're so close to each other. (My build was a basic Zimmerman/Spike Needle biped, anything that kills the tetrapods and Cleaner at the end with ease should do)
Finally got it. Swapped Gatling Guns for Zimmermans shotguns and Tank legs for Tetrapod Legs. Make sure you kill all the enemies he kills in the video, it's important for the bonus pay bullsh1t. You can shoot the hanging explosives with the shotguns to kill all enemies before you engage with them, then just get close and finish the one left. In the boss, just hover over him and shoot him in his furnace opening with the Needles and Shotguns, you'll stun him very fast. I did it hitless that way. I tried it 7-8 times. When I switched to the strategy above I got it first try. I hope it helps someone.
This worked first try, 👌 just gotta get enough bonus pay while landing all your shots to conserve the ammo. Didn't realize I was skipping a few enemies at first.
thank you so much, this has been the only time ive ever been frustrated to the maximum in this game. Did ur build and managed to do it in 4 trys! thanks a lot
Just got s Rank on this after many wasted hours, the secret to this s rank is not just speed but also bonus pay. Got to keep ammo and repair costs low while making lots of bonus pay so you want to kill a lot of stuff but only the ones that pay well. You can kill the 6 mt's before rummy then once the shutters open fly to the roof of rummy's building and destroy the 3 tetrapod mt's. Fly across to the rocket mt's and kill those followed by the droid mt's that drop when you try to open the door. Kill all the mt's in you way as you proceed to the next door (you can skip the 2 by the lava since they worth less). When you open the door fly all the way to the top where you can see the final tetrapod before the cleaner but go right instead to where the chest is and kill the mt there plus the 2 that drop down. Mop up the mt and then on to the cleaner. If you can do that fast while using guns with low ammo cost you'll get the S rank. I tried with single and dual gats but had too many expenses. I tried with zimms but ive avoided them since i saw how powerful they were before i tried them and didn't want to suck the fun out the game. I was using a dual laser handgun build to S rank all missions and thought i couldn't do this mission with the build but i was either not killing anything and just rushing or i was killing the wrong things that didn't give enough money. I use a songbird on the right and the ML Redshift in the left weapon bay. I use the Redshift to save on ammo cost as well.
Yup, 218k in Bonus Pay + 74k in Expenses = S Rank. I also used Tetrapod legs instead since I hate tank legs in tight spaces. Plus, tank legs don't regen EN if the ground is uneven. Lastly, I just hovered above the boss and fired pot shots down the volcano on his back - gg.
For those like me who have tried many times getting an A, I can assure you that the problem is not the damage but the cost of the ammunition. In this video we see how all the bosses are defeated with just two hits of VE-60SNA, but it's not an easy thing to do. I saw another user's video using two shotguns and followed his advice: rank S first try! However, you have to aim at the tank of the last boss, looking at it from above. Let me know!
Wrong. It's not the ammo cost. I've completed it with lower ammo cost than the video. The way I got S-rank was to skip resupply. If you got tetras equipped you can hover above it's exhaust/chimney or w/e it supposed to be and be 100% safe from it's attacks except for taking around 2k for some unknown reason.
@@stezero92 You are wrong because my tries with lower ammo/repair still got me an A and only bit different that got me an S-rank was bit more bonus and no re-supply.
@@thetalkinganvil8366 I got S-rank several times today by searching battle logs and I can say with certainty that we are both right. However I did faster than the video with more damage and less ammo cost and got S, I don't know what to tell you, it doesn't make sense for you to tell me I'm wrong.
Finally got S Rank on this mission. My tip is to build a fast AC with 2 stun needles and 2 coral rifles. You don't need to kill all enemies but be sure to at least kill most heavy and light AC you can see. Take no damage and kill the last boss as fast as you can.
Got the s rank tonight. I kept getting A with the guns in this video. I switched the Gatling guns out for Zimmerman shotguns and got S rank on first try due to halving the ammo cost - think that will be my new rule of thumb- if I fail with normal load out try subbing Gatling guns for shotguns to lower cost 🎉
I used a light build with dual coquillettes and dual VEs. I went for the two heavy MT balls with logs, past the tetrapods, then did everything that Pyx did in the video. For the boss I stayed at max distance allowed by the pistols (can tell by the ricochet popups) and peppered it till it staggered then hit it with both VEs whilst still peppering it. The pistols have low cost, so don't worry about spraying.
I advice to change the guts in zimmerman/shotgun and kill the same enemies showed in the video. I've struggled when i realized was the ammo's cost the key.
Interesting seeing everyones comments here. I personally just used the lightest ac possible with dual smgs, a laser orbit and a laser dagger on my back. Assault boosted all the way through the mission killing only the tetrapod. Then killed the cleaner. I only took around 1k damage throughout the whole mission. S rank first try.
Struggling with gatling guns and songbirds even with fast runs and extra enemy kills along the way. Switched to Zimmermans and songs same strat and got S rank first run
This is by far the most difficult S rank in the game. I S ranked everything, this is my last one and I achieve the platinum. I’m working on it as i’m writing this comment.
This game is so inconsistent, I'm wasting so much time on situations I literally can't control. The final enemy often doesn't get hit by support weapons and i take damage when he should be stunned. YES! THANK YOU. I feel like I'm the only one that feels this way. Playing the game, clearing missions is great fun but S ranking some of these missions is disgustingly RNG. I'm not even gonna say "hard", you can be a pretty skilled player and still take some cheap damage because a missile followed you around a corner or exploded a little too close to you... And that Smart Cleaner boss fight... I can't tell you how many times those MASSIVE hit boxes grazed my mech, even accidentally, ruining the entire S rank run. Great game, but this mission in particular is awful to S rank.
Just did it. Went for speed over everything else, taking out as much as possible without compromising my time. Used those speedy tank treads with heavy missile launchers a shotgun and a detonating bazooka. Funnily enough, if you speed by a lot of it the enemies struggle to hit you as much. I probably got lucky but my god am I happy I don't need to attempt the S rank again.
I think my biggest issue is not letting you know what you're supposed to do at all. In destroy the transport helicopters you can ignore every enemy, destroy them fast and get S. Here you need to kill as many enemies as fast as possible. It's so inconsistent
